For people who don't know. The reason Jopes had to credit so many people is because none of the gamers could last more than a few minutes being exposed to grass.
I have ptsd from when I first got mk8dx and didn’t know why my and my siblings’ karts weren’t steering properly. Man it’s great for noobs but we played on the wii! We were so damn confused!
Jopes I think you forgot the dry dry desert footage. It goes straight from Mario circuit to donut plains and it shows dry dry desert being possible, but you never mention it/ show it
@@nunyabizness8919 Excitebike, Moo Moo Meadows, Mario Circuit 3 and Sunset Wilds (all of which were mentioned and equally trivial): "Are we a joke to you?"
@@silverreaps6803 Yeah, my point. It's a lot more likely compared to "not being worth showing" because there's other, equally (if not more) obvious tracks that were shown.
Just throwing this idea out there (someone probably already has) but you could in theory try to redo this experiment with a modification to see if this increases the number of usable tracks or maybe has a totally different list. Same off-road rules, but you may touch the road or be on the road only for the duration of a mushroom. Since normally in Mario Kart, you take off-road shortcuts with a star and/or Mushroom. However, to spice it up, maybe see how many maps can complete 3 laps with this adjusted ruleset?
biweekly uploads are probably going to become the standard from now on, I've been stockpiling a lot of videos over the last few months to allow myself to get into a more consistent schedule. Hopefully you enjoyed this one :)
I've never been much into gaming, even tho' I've had several game systems over the years. After having a Wii, for the last 10 years, I have played Mario Kart a few times. I've been playing quite a bit lately. Now I find myself watching more and more of these videos on RU-vid. I even installed CTGP for the extra tracks. Now, it seems I'm hooked.
@@Leaked_Footage_79No. By my logic, areas not marked on the map count as off-road. Which makes sense. Water still shows in over courses, such as 2:26, so it's not all water. Just that one section.
great video! very well edited, except at 10:11. To give you feedback, next time you rerecord a line (i assume that's what is happening) make sure to re-record the whole sentence to make it sound natural. It would've sounded way better if you re-recorded from the words "and finally". I loved seeing the live reaction for that one part, and i encourage you to do more of that kind of stuff, for fun and engaging moments of your streams!
Thanks for the feedback. I do agree that its a bit jarring, but I actually have a bit of a reason for it. I record all my voiceovers in my closet with a blanket over my head for sound quality reasons, but it takes FOREVER to migrate my entire setup across the room and get set up for recording, so I generally only want to do this once per video as long as that's possible. With this video, I messed up a single word in the sentence you pointed out, but recording it at my desk would have made the difference in audio quality VERY obvious, so I grabbed the word "the" from a different point in my voice over and inserted it. I know it's not exactly pretty, but it was the best solution I could think of at one in the morning. However, I do get that it detracts from the video, so I'll try to make sure there aren't any issues that large in the future. I'm also glad that people are liking the live reactions and clips from streams. In the past, I was a bit hesitant to put in audio that wasn't heavily scripted, but recently I've been warming up to the idea of more natural, conversational videos. I'm also going to try to incorporate streams into my video making process more, because I do feel like they create much more engaging content.
@@Jopes i suppose that is fair! it kinda sucks to do a lot of work for one little moment. I totally think you should do more with your live reactions, especially for big moments, just watched your most recent video, and there i would've loved your reaction to using the Bullet Bill and then getting s lighting anyway
Okay, but it’s not actually possible to beat Mario Kart Stadium like this. If by “beat” you mean, finish a single lap, then yes it is, but if you mean finishing all 3 laps then it isn’t. You used all your mushrooms on the first lap which would make it impossible to get to the off-road on Laps 2 and 3, even with motion control on.
I'm wondering if the tracks that need 2 or more mushrooms for a single lap should count as possible, because you technically can't replicate it in the other laps. And even if you tried doing it in a regular race to get consistent powerups, you can't really touch most item boxes while in the offroad.
Can i ask why Jopes sounds different from their first MK8D vid? On another note this was great video, never thought about offroading MK before. It was engrossing
Kalamari desert isn’t possible cuz u had to do 3 laps so why is Mario kart stadium possible when u need 2 mushrooms to do the shortcut and u only get 3 total mushrooms.
How do you know you dont touch road when boosting over with a hop? Because a lot of them straight look like you touch the road. Also some of the ramps that have road right before boost panels.
