yea I hate how everyone uses mario party 1 as a comparison. there are only a few good boards in there in my opinion. plus like you said most games have six and MAYBE 7. so not having one board is not that big a deal... especially if they plan on adding a few later.
The fact that it’s included at all after the lawsuits is hilarious. And also frustrating given that much better choices like Hotel Goomba or that 1v3 minigame in MP8 where you have to make the panels match the picture (obviously not with the pointer)
@@pogmothoinriiii yeah, kids were using the palms of their hands to rotate the stick in tug o' war, which caused injuries, and then Nintendo got hit by lawsuits from various parents, so they started handing latex gloves and telling not to rotate the stick with the palm of their hands
I don't personally mind the roster being smaller than SMP. That game had a partner system that needed that many characters to be used. Also I know that 8, 9 and 10 got the least minigames, but they did a good job representing them and in a way they made them feel more unique compared to the other minigames. 8 had that funky style of music.
Yeah I get the character selection. SMP had partners like you said, plus every character had unique dice blocks so there’s a reason to pick characters and have a lot of options. In Superstars it’s like any other game where it’s just pick your favorite one

To be honest, this is the closest we've ever gotten to a perfect Mario Party game! Then again every third iteration so far has been the strongest entries
1:28 I suppose a reason why there is only 2 minigames on 8 is because of the abundance of minigames using motion controls in this game. But I wonder if they can be translated into button controls minigames.
there were plenty of minigames that didn't use motion controls. and yes, many of them can easily be translated to button maps. I think only the ones that use the pointer are best left behind
Also, "Including two Mario Party 2 maps, only having 10 characters but NOT having them get into fun themed outfits during those boards?!" That was half the joy from the second game!
Have you tried playing online with randoms or with friends? I feel like stickers are a bit more relevent there, it's so much fun listening to the sounds they make when you use them. I think they were a great addition.
I tried playing with people online, but honestly it's super hard because the mini games are really laggy even though my connection is fine. And it's rare that players stay longer than 10 rounds. Have finished one online game yet where in the end there was someone other than me. They all leave during the game
@@freyafrettchen3808 honestly strange. Ive had the leaver every so often but most of the time apart from one experience it was a pretty good experience, I think I've played 10+ game so far? Its been pretty good, must depend on where you live.
Forgot to mention how they deceive you with “classic” bonus stars but in reality the Coin Star and Minigame Star are not the same as what they were originally.
The game used the MP1 version of Bombs Away, which would explain why there's no big bomb at the end, but I agree it made the MP2 version better. Still a pretty easy game to draw on either way.
You forgot to mention the issue with MP2 item minigames. Basically, they have: -Horror Land but no Coffin Congestion -Roll Out the Barrels but no Pirate Land

The reason there were just 10 characters was probably because each character was the superstar for each Mario party game. Mario-Super star for mp1 Luigi-super star for mp2, etc.
Thankfully definitely more boards and mini games are coming. But hopefully there will be more characters. At least 2 more would be nice. I’d pick shy guy and koopa troopa if it were only 2 but if it were more I’d say koopa troopa, shy guy, goomba, Diddy kong, and boo. (If we just added another row of 5
I hope they add DLC’s that contain more Boards, Past Mario Party Characters, and More Minigames. Three Minigames I’m really hoping come are: Cut From The Team (MP8) King Of The Thrill (MP8) Mecha Choice (MP9)
Here’s one thing I’m disappointed about. I really wanted Pauline to be in a Mario Party game! But it makes sense since she haven’t been in any past Mario games. I just really hope we get another Mario Party game soon and hopefully Pauline is in it!
I would like to see some more mario party 6 boards. those boards were super underrated. Also I wish to see Diddy Kong and Toad playable. You could also squeeze some more game modes.
really hope they add some more boards from the original Mario Party games like Wario's map where you get blasted to different parts of the map via canon.
You forgot to mention that unlike Mario Party the top 100, that game at the very least tried to reference the previous hosts from 3, 5, 6, 7 and 8 in the gallery but it also spat on anyone who even remembers Koopa Kid/Mini Bowser by not bringing him back in some way. But this time, the hosts are even spoken of and the game doesn't even flinch about thinking of actually adding them in for nostalgia, and like the top 100 again, it doesn’t even want to back a character who was in the first 7 Mario Parties, and just replaces him with Bowser Jr.! I am not a hater of Jr., but it still doesn’t make any sense why he can’t be brought back for nostalgia. 😡
Not saying I didn’t think that Mario party 10 wasn’t fun to play with friends and family but i do like the classic format it feels more chaotic and strategic
3:50 Oh finally! Not switching places with the CPU i want really frustrated me in MP3! It seemed like it was totally worthless of an item and just made me wish that there was a throwing item away/trading feature in the games. Like, trading 2 Warp Blocks for a Normal Mushroom, or a Stealing Chest(i don't remember exactly the name. Also, almost "literally" any item is much more useful than this thing). Also, if i moded the games, i would put the amount of coins that i costs at 2, because it's that worthless. I don't know why you are complaining(i get it, not all your opinions are accurate, but still). They fixed an item that was basically as worthless as a completely boring episode of a show. Not even RNG fixed this item, that was the only way the item would be good.

In my opinon, the stickers are good online global public/Non voice chat lobbies, their so expressive and can be turned off for people who find it annoying or when you have someone spamming it
It’s great but WHY OH WHY is there only 5 maps and it’s not even the good ones. I would pay $10 per map if they’d add a good collection of maps from each game. I’d pay to add more characters too. They should have done it smash style and let you earn different characters and maps… It’s a good game but like you said, things like only few characters and the music and boring announcers etc. still leaves me wanting to just grab an emulator and play the originals… These games are so simple to make and they are a billion dollar company. Wtf is with this half assed style of only releasing a few maps and a few characters or w.e. This is just a remake you didn’t even have to be creative. Just remaster it for a new system… Sorry I can’t help but be critical. I was really excited to play some of the best maps on the old games and they chose ones like peaches birthday cake over the Wild West Level. Still glad they made it I mean but cmon. I do think you’re right they’ll do a DLC and if so I’ll take back my complaints.
Well in their defense unlike New Horizons, which dataminers found out the game actually had everything Week 1, so in other words it just became drip feeding for updates that should've been at launch. Here it IS a complete game. All the data is released and out, and the datamine of the rumor DLC maps are seen to be around 0-100 KB compared to the complete maps' 100K to 1M KB, meaning they are not even off the 5% complete ground or completely empty. While Mario Party 1 had more boards... only a few of them were actually good.
I can’t wait to see who wins the Mario Party and eats the Tostitos. I predict that Bathaniel will win. Also I can tell your super happy that Nintendo finally added Birdo in another Mario Party.
