40 yrs ago, my dad had a shop, paying immigrants good money, but most importantly, teaching them an American trade. When immigration came into this shop every few months, there was a signal that allowed all time to leave safely without incurring legal fees, court costs & unpaid work days. The only time I had an opportunity to help an immigrant was a person who floated to south florida, touched land, he needed money. I hired this unknown guy to paint an apartment with no a/c in s. Fl. This guy was meticulous, I found out he was a doctor, and despite education, he had to start all over again. At 45, he started medical school again. Immigrants are not afraid of any hard work under any circumstances for any wage. They do not deserve to be maligned just because they are immigrants. They should, however, come & seek asylum legally through the standard process. No one deserves to jump the queue. Millions of people are waiting to come to the usa, everyone needs to wait their turn. Vote straight blue 💙 & bring a friend or coworker with you when you vote on or before Nov 5th.

I live in a farming community on the Central Coast of California. A large percentage of the population here is Hispanic immigrants, some legal and some not. They work hard and they’re great neighbors! If Trump tries to round them up and put them in camps, he’s going to have to come through me and the rest of my community!

There are international grocery stores near me with plenty of cheap deals like less than $2 a lb for ground beef since they primarily have immigrant workers. They even have plenty of cheap produce and we know how much our people rely on farms even with undocumented workers for produce. Many Americans won’t work the farms.

I dunno. Ohio enacted an extreme law against undocumented workers. Fining employers $1,000/day for every undocumented worker. I provided maintenance services to three different plants in different cities. All migrant workers. There were hispanic employment agencies in my hometown. Walmart closed at night and closed one entrance in an effort to control shoplifting. In one village I saw latinos stripped to the waist to display gangland tattoos. It was getting bad. The worse I saw was when I was in a plant using the bathroom. Someone in a stall was obviously battling a case of diarrhea. He rushed straight out of the stall and back to work without washing his hands. It was a food processing plant. The migrants all disappeared overnight. Fired. Gone. Plants closed a couple😢 of weeks. They raised wages a buck or so and locals flocked to those jobs. I’m a liberal democrat. But maybe if we treated local workers just a little better we wouldn’t need so many migrants. If we treated mothers a little better America might raise our own workers instead of relying on migrants to staff employee roles. America needs legal immigration so seasonal farmers aren’t forced to hire illegals. America also needs to raise minimum wage to a livable level. And we need women’s healthcare. Paid maternity leave. Subsidized childcare. Free food at schools. Breakfast, lunch and afternoon snacks. They’re required by law to be there! Feed them. It’s a human need. Make it easier to raise smart quality citizens. And free education. From pre-K thru a doctorate. Other countries do it! We’re falling behind. Can we afford it? We can’t afford not too!

Don't feel sorry for most restaurant owners. That was my business, and i know most of them voted and continue to support DJT. At this point, if he wins, i will be happy to see them close because they can't get enough support to stay open.
