The Beef was over. Marley Marl and KRS even made an album together. But Shan got in his feelings and tried to dis again, and then on top of that came weak with it. Now it's back on. The battle now is over the latest slight. New day, new slight, new battle. I think it's good for the culture to show these fools what Hip Hop battling is really all about. Hip Hop was literally created from battling and there would be no Hip Hop without battling (starting with b-boy battling, then Emcee battling), so I don't see why some people down with Hip Hop are against battling. I'm only against it when it cease to be about the mic competition and it's wack rappers just trying to dis to get attention, or it starts being about talking about killing each others kids and retardedness like that.

I think that the battle is a good thing! Butt KRS is the wrong target exclamation point leave that Doom alone.. history should show you.. no matter what we think of him personally, everyone that vs him is over for them.. from the old school to the new school.. he was always there like lights and shadows.. more than a LL COOL J.. who's competition had a chance.. KRS always seems to have the unfair advantage of timeless experience & a sheer smashmouth style. at the same time he is always the underdog.. battling KRS=bad career choice.

I saw Shan and KRS One on stage at a concert in Philly a couple of years ago. Shan could have started something right then, but he rapped along (and laughed) with KRS.I actually think that the resurrected rivalry is cool and good for hip hop, and it can show the new generation that you can never be too old for rapping, the sport of battling, and hip hop at large. And the battle may spark this generation to do their research on when/how the battle began.
