@@timeskull663 yeah, there are a lot more players that are better than him, aim-wise like shroud, recrent, uhhh i dunno any other ex/pros who play deadlock xd Recently saw Aceu play it and he was beaming low mmr players on wraith like he has an aimbot on, as well as popping every blue soul ball like he is playing aimlabs with his life at stake (but then he later said that the game is "just OK, dunno if ill be playing it again") So with mikaels i think is just a LOT of game hours, cause he was playing it even before the word got out about this game, but in the future there will definitely be a lot more TOP players besides him.
I don't do echo shard for my turrets. I do a maximized life steal build where everything I have goes towards damage, passive cool down, and armor. The build is called "Head of the Occult-Industrial Complex" if you're curious, it's all the items you may want or need. Once you get to late game, replace the dedicated "spirit/bullet life steal" items with their respective improved armors to make the life steal you have significantly more effective
I've gone back and forth on whether or not Echo Shard is worth it and I think it fundamentally is. The base stats on it are great - 1 m/s *move* speed, +28 spirit power, and 16% bullet resist are all things we get a lot of value out of. With Superior Cooldown and Rapid Recharge, both your Mini Turret and Echo Shard have a cooldown of around 16 seconds in terms of how often each of them produce a turret. Meaning with Echo Shard, you are effectively doubling your turret uptime. In addition, it lets you deploy turrets faster in a scenario where you need to set up quickly. I think if you're doing a turret centric build, you just miss out on too much value without it.
As tempting as it is to rely on superior cooldown and drop rapid recharge from the build, it feels so sluggish to drop turrets in a fight without recharge. The reduction in time between charges is a pretty big deal.
I went from 2nd last on my team (losing) to being first place overall in everything, but kills on my first attempt with the build. What items to finish the build off with? I sold two level 1 items for Healing Bane, Enduring Speed, and finished off with Soul Shredding Bullets. The build naturals into Escalating Exposure and Superior Duration.
I'm not sure if they have a limit or not on the amount of turrets you can have up at one time. I think after 30 seconds the turrets will die. Duration spirit upgrades can keep them around longer.
Not everyone can maximize and make twitch clips like those guys, nor do we have the best aim or reactions. We have the most fun by winning the long game or enabling our teammates... and just being in the right place at the right time.
