If you watch the animation closely, you may be able to see that the apartment door closes (with a door closer) and we are ventilating just the corridor and stair, not the fire zone. That having been said, it's not necessarily a bad thing to make sure a fire has sufficient oxygen as insufficient oxygen will lead to incomplete combustion, resulting in a greater amount of toxic product of combustion. It also increases the risk of backdraught (a fire starved of oxygen but still with sufficient heat and fuel = a large explosion due to the rapid combustion of unburnt gasses when oxygen is reintroduced). There are tons of different software out there that you can create this kind of animation. For example, you can create the Base modeling + animating in 3DS Max and render it using Vray. And for the smoke simulation, you can use chaos Phoenix which is a 3d simulation plugin for 3ds max, especially for fluids, fire and smoke simulations. if you want to learn more about this kinda stuff There are some tutorials on my channel as well.

Hey @shepherd wolf! Thanks for the comment 🙌🏽 You have something similar in America... they work slightly differently though. Usually in America, you use pressurisation systems. These work by pumping air into the protected spaces (e.g. staircases, firefighting lifts and firefighting lobbies) to stop the smoke flowing back into those zones. 😊 We're starting to see more of them over here.
