@@duaneporter2061 The really Ironic part is the girls Biblical reference for "cursing" (meaning foul language) @ 1:04:09 they use Peter denying Jesus. But that section of scripture is not talking about Peter using foul words. Its talking about him breaking a vow he made in Matt 26:35 that he would not deny the Lord. "Even if I have to die with you I will not deny you". The ESV translates the later section where he denies Jesus as "Then Peter began to invoke a curse on himself and to swear "I do not know the man". Its got nothing at all to do with foul language. Its to do with breaking a previous vow he made - by breaking the vow he brings a curse on himself. The word used is: ἀναθεματίζω (anathematizō). vb. to invoke a curse, bind with an oath. Used to indicate a binding promise, with divine harm as the consequence. So weirdly ironic that the wrong understanding of this passage actually leads into the same type of sin Peter actually committed. Making and breaking of a vow.

This is so great. I love that God is moving in all of their lives. I’m also glad that these girls were bold enough to shine a light on this area of sin. It was scary watching him squirm trying to justify this area the devil doesn’t want to let go of. The good news is that Jesus is the answer! 1) “George I VOW to quit cussing” 2) 2 minutes later: “*I don’t know how I’m going to attack this, but *I will fix this” 3) 1 minute later “I have a sexy neck” 4) 1 minutes later “I HATE THEM Christians” ”And do not swear by your head, for you cannot make even one hair white or black. That’s crazy that Angela brought up the cursing bc up until then I did cringe every time George cussed. It broke my focus every time. And I was very impressed with him being so understanding and vowed to try not to cuss anymore. That’s amazing.

Me too. I get convicted when I cuss. Even when I'm angry or I hurt myself. Not only because there should be no darkness, Even in our speech. But also because the anger or whatever emotion was the source, isn't an attribute of God then it isn't from him, then where is it from? Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. And if the heart is accompanied by these words then how is the Holy Spirit to live there. Looking at me you would not expect this to be my view on this, but I believe it is the truth and the new Testament is saturated with how we should speak and conduct our selves if we are to be ambassadors; imitating Jesus Christ.
Yeah that was beautiful and tbh they helped convict me too. Hearing their testimony of their experience with swearing and eventually coming to the realization that they shouldn't and all that touched me and made me reflect on myself as I from time to time have sworn since becoming a Christian as well, but hearing this convicted me and now I care a lot more and want to avoid saying swear words ever again. I need to work on myself because I would’ve been so quick to point out his mistakes and there are some serious ones I noticed. He cusses, he slipped and mentioned his alternative response for his fiancée not willing to get in a car in an unsafe area as “bitch fine, get shot then and robbed” (39:37) and during the podcast he calls the women, “man” repeatedly. I believe it stems from his insecurity to not seem too eager or interested to chat with these beautiful and Godly women. When he asked them about what they wanted in a man and the girls mentioned they could speak “biblically” and he dismissed the value of God’s word for what he considered “real” for the women (36:04-36:06) “No! How you guys are”. (???) It really made me recognize that he has some work to go through and I’m glad he has a willing partner to do that with him. It’s difficult to unwind from the places he’s been and the people he’s been around. That growth is slow and steady but better than not at all. This podcast and hopefully this comment, makes him self-reflect on these things.

I’ve tried everything. AA for 7 years, relapsed cause of horrible mental health issues. Sober again for 4 months still horrible mental health issues. Raised Christian found an amazing relationship with Christ then a bunch of bad things happened and my faith dwindled. I’m trying to hold on and most days I want to die even after reading scripture even after watching sermons. I’m holding on for dear life and my children and wife need me. I feel like garbage every single day but I never give up. I’ve been in those moments of on my knees on concrete crying out to God several times and got no answers. I wish life was different all I want is to give and receive love but I’m afflicted. Thanks for the pod. Wish I could get off my meds and be like you guys but everytime I do I go nuts. I worry about finances too much and being able to provide. I chose a different career path bc I believe God led me to it, he is providing everything we need but now I can’t sleep and my anxiety and worry and trust has left. Wish life was different but it’s not. I appreciate listening to this and wish I could get back to fully turning my will and life over to Christ

Angela is SO real for calling George out in regards to cussing. I used to think the same way but through the sanctification process, I know also cringe so hard when I hear cuss words. Ephesians 4:29 says “do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths,” and we are fooling ourselves when we pretend like the “f word” is wholesome in any circumstance.
But she’s in fornication which is great that she confessed it but should not be doing ministry if she is sinning that way which is different than George, where is the true repentance?

I watched a clip about the cussing from Isaiah Saldivar’s page - my prayers and amazement with how far we are all growing closer to Christ. Hallelujah! I remember some time last year , I enjoyed watching your channel (and because you are a believer and brother in Christ) but I had to pause because of the cursing and the Holy Spirit lead me to be careful of what I listen to. I’ve been on a journey with you guys George and GGB. I came back to Christianity last year when you guys came on my feed. I had left to become Muslim. I did it because of a woman 🙃. That I have 2 kids with. I couldn’t remove my love for Jesus and had a calling back. I lost my family for following him. My kids are now coming back into my life. It’s been a journey. With gods help and your videos I’m finding my way and fighting through it. God is good and he will make me whole again. 🙏

I was with my ex for 8 years. Letting him go was the hardest thing I've ever had to do. After a little patience and self focus on my faith and relationship with God, I studied Ruth, went on a couple dates, and fell in love with my current boyfriend of 2 years now and he is truly the biggest blessing and loving man I've ever met. It really makes a difference when friends or family support it too. That's how you know you're with the right guy. It's really just that simple.

Man, I'll tell you what George you're podcast is ministering to me Every time I listen, I'm 41 going through My second marriage. We're separated now a month after 10 years. I'm trying to seek Christ for the last 6 months. My wife was turned off by it. We were having a really tumultuous. Situation surrounding our separation right now. And I'm trying to be patient and wait on the Lord. And pray and that his will is for us to be one again and have a relationship that's focus on a foundation that I Christ but every time I get back in contact with my wife we just fight, and I'm trying to be patient, and I'm trying to be strong and show Her the love that she deserves and continue forgiveness and to be humble. But man, maybe it's just not what God wants for me. Maybe that's why things keep going bad. And these young ladies and sisters in Christ have really shown me. Witnessing to me with their faith in the Lord and what he will put in front of you. I pray for that same faith in myself and my situation. And I pray for my wife and any wrong that I've done to her. I have been struggling with the same thing. I am always so quick to speak and unfortunately cussing has been in my vocab for so long that it was a super normal thing. It's always like I catch the words after the fact. This really has made me realize that I HAVE to do better and I am going to moving forward.
2 things that really stood out to me and I think were life changing 1. I also am a Christian who curses like George and with the same beliefs as him. I would do it to fish for men in a language they understand. Ever since seeing clips on IG of them speaking about this I have stopped cussing and realized that it really is a separation from God 2. I am so glad and thankful that Angela said what she said about not giving up sex. Man the goosebumps I got when she said that bc I’m literally going through that right now and it’s been soo hard to give it up. I’ve had one foot in and foot out for 5 years now “SINCE GIVING MY LIFE TO JESUS” and I just simply haven’t been able to let go of it. Even though I have not acted on those thoughts I still wanted it really badly and the only other option was porn so that’s what I would do. So thank you for sharing that Angela. Also the weight that came off you when you said that gave me more goosebumps. You can tell it had a strong authority over you but in Jesus name that’s finished. I saw a snippet of this video online somewhere and felt the urge to search and subscribe to both George and Girls Gone Bible. These ladies made such good points and this is the first time I've heard of them. I love how they call George out on his cursing in such a loving way. George vowing to no longer curse really touched me and made me vow along with him lol. George, I'm with you on this difficult journey to make "little compromises" until we fully elevate. George, I'm early in my journey turning from sin and rejoining Christ. this is something i have been struggling with and as someone who looks up to you and watches your videos as a sort of bible study and for advice. it really helped me to see your wheels turning and to see you give in and admit you were wrong in your ways. and I too will be doing my best for trying to turn away from cursing
