Where do restrictions come from? Well, where should (!) they come from, depends on the development of your own personality. As a child, restrictions come from your parents. After a certain age, you start using your own mind. Adults with a lower level of personality need external rules. From parents, from society, from government, doesn't matter. But if you are among the lucky ones and continue growing your personality you might come to the point, where you can make your own rules and restrict yourself. A healthy mind will set up the exact same rules as in the major religions. So setting up rules, that everyone should follow is nothing bad. Laws are exactly that. But laws don't cover all aspects of life, religion at least tries to do so. But theses rules should not be setted up in a way, where they are not questionable. There must be room for doubt. Otherwise you end up with a bunch of people following meaningful rules without understanding them and who are punishing everyone who tries to understand them.

Nonsense, Women in the workforce means there is more workers, so men get paid less and get hired less especially with liberal incentives. Secondly, women being liberated want all the perks of a traditional man like voting and also still expect the joys from traditional men (like paying for dates) but don’t want any of the responsibility of being a traditional woman. And that's not true: The whole goal of female liberation was not to force woman to work and f*ck outside of wedlock, but to give the freedom to do it for the ones that want it. And yes, freedom comes with its drawbacks: a free person has to take initiative, own its personnal choices, work hard for itself, blame only itself if it fails. But many people will always chose freedom anyway. Because humans are diverse. Some women don't want a domestic life. Some don't even want kids. Some are lesbians. You can hardly impose social norms that fit everyone. That's the reason why democracies tend to stick to a definition as broad as "one person's freedom ends where another's begins".

People who live under Sharia Law are happier and safer. Old fashioned values always win.

Are we talking about self-imposed restrictions, or restriction placed on children by their parents, or boundaries within a relationship or marriage, or restrictions imposed by some authority etc. ? Because you just vaguely talk about 'restrictions' you talk past each other. Your conversation is entertaining, but by no means enlightening for this reason.
