The jury will need to see Cohen's testimony in the context of that of the other witnesses and of the documentary evidence, then make up its mind as to who to believe. If Trump doesn't testify, and doesn't provide an alternative explanation for the sequence of events, they will in any case draw their own conclusions as to whether there is reasonable doubt here.

if that was how criminal court worked there would be no such thing as criminal justice. everyone lies, on average several times a day, so pretty much every case would always be dismissed. many criminal cases are won on the word of a co-conspirator in the crime or a jail 'snitch'. what the jury will weigh here, as in every case, is what the witness has to lose by lying versus what the defendant has to lose by lying.

Trump doesn't take anybody's advice really.. who tries to direct his lawyers and when they do not follow the path of his choice.. he fires them and goes on to the next one. Unfortunately Colin fell victim into Trump's hornet's nest, and got out when he was stung. How many lawyers has he not paid, and dismissed? Colin lost his credibility a long time ago in the legal world he made bad decisions. Electing Trump to the presidency the first time was a grave mistake. Talk about election integrity... If it were not for the electoral college Clinton would have been president. And there are many people out there who believe none of this that Trump has brought into the light would be happening today. And our allies particularly Europe overseas would have a better view of is the United States than they do now. What did Trump say about the soldiers buried in Normandy? He couldn't go to pay his respects, he called John McCain a loser. Trump couldn't go into military service because of bone spurs. I am in my mid-60s I never have I seen a president even Nixon, who has fallen so low.. he being Trump is not even the pits! He is sublevel!

Why is it that Trump always slithers out of these situations, what takes credit for everyone else's work. Ask anyone who lost the family member from covid, to quote Trump it will magically go away.
