Seriously, there's only maybe a few characters whose actors don't really seem like they fit the part, but none of any serious note. So many of them ARE the character, or that's how it feels to us.
Absolutely! I can’t stand people that use fillers ummms/uhhs when they speak. It’s just painful to hear people especially educated people talk w/tons of fillers.
I'm so glad he became a actor. He really made Christopher's character what it was, I dont think anyone else could have pulled it off besides Michael Imperioli I related to Christopher's character so much and he was always my favorite character.
Just finished my first watch through last week, goddamn what a ride. It's still not quite the Wire, but it's my #2 and everything #3 and beyond are so far from those top two it's nuts.
@@anas-432 The Wire is the best TV show ever made, IMHO. The Sopranos is a dark comedy centered around the mafia. The Wire is a show that's about, at first, the drug trade, but it's a show that doesn't have a protagonist and is more about how there are good and bad people inside of every institution, and that the world is what it is. Couldn't recommend it more, but it does not do any exposition and you have to pay attention. Some people can't do that, but if you can handle a story with like 20 characters and nobody explaining out loud to you what's happening, you'll love it. If you liked Sopranos, you'll love The Wire, guaranteed. They're from the same era of HBO and are just peak TV.
How Joe never once brings up the fact that Michael Imperioli is a black belt in Tae Kwon Do is crazy to me. I feel like they could have chatted about that for an hour given Joe's extensive experience in the sport.
Michael Imperioli: *Does anything* Soprano's fans: *makes jokes/ Soprano's references* Michael channeling Steve Van Zandt: Just when I thought I was out... they pull me back in!
Adrianna- “Christopha, I have to tell you something. When I was younger, I had a medical procedure and my uterus got pierced.” Moltisanti- “Both of them?”
@@httr94 .. I kind of envy you. For my money, there's The Wire and The Sopranos on TVs all time top shelf. Everything else is at least one rung below them.
Chrissy's inadequacies, ideas, and complexity as a man are so reflective of what it's like living as a dude in the 21st century. It's a real tragedy that he never got the compassion and acceptance he longed for. It's a greater tragedy that by the time he had some semblance of his identity as a man, the people he trusted most shunned him.
I remember my first time seeing Michael on screen....lean on me, he was one of the kids Joe Clark threw out of school. He’s wearing a denim outfit looking like an 80s metal head.
This mans performance on Last man Standing with Bruce Willis is so under appreciated! That was the first time I ever saw him and he left an imprint in my head from his performance.
@jbot91 That was pretty good bro especially with the spelling that made my fucking day. Thank you very much and you have a good and blessed day wherever you are
He's one of those actors who don't have to change their face or the accent too much for us to believe his character. He's so natural. And I'm a big fan of his voice too
BraveInternetGuy not lying. Mount Vernon is small. Everyone knew everyone. I don’t think they’re in touch anymore but he was at my cousins wedding. There are pics of him. I never met him.
@@CrackerBarrelkid555 Yes he is massively underrated. His arc from Boss to what he ended up becoming is literally the biggest character transition in the show.
He's clearly an intelligent and down to earth guy. I dont know why, but he just looks so incredibly stylish. I mean he carries the clothes, not the other way around. I should pay more attention to him as an actor
The theater was called Studio Dante. I actually saw the play he’s referring to that he acted in. It was a reading of a play that Thomas G Waites (The Warriors) wrote. I also saw one there that Tim Daily starred in….God, time goes by…..
You ever notice Michael is the only person who can give an interview in the rain and the microphone not get wet? That nose, it's like a natural canopy.
Tony:"Where the fuck you been? You're late!" Christopher: "The highways jammed with broken heroes, on a last chance power drive" best character in The Sopranos
So right about the whole student loan thing. My generation was brainwashed to think that a degree = success after graduation. Obviously not the case LOL
Depends on the degree. Anything in STEM will find you success. Arts are a waste of time because anyone with internet access and dedication can learn it on their own.
I remember him when he was in the 1st Bad Boys movie , it was not a big part but his scene was memorable. I can still remember the dialogue. Good actor
I know its fucked up but that scene where he slaps Adrianna after she gave him the rehab brochures was legendary acting. He backhands her and she looks so shocked n helpless then he goes "Where do you get your balls from" then robs her moneyin her purse then heads out to score. Legendary
One thing I really appreciate about Joe is that he never derails the conversation with off topic banal questions that suck the life out of stories and streams of consciousness. He is a great interviewer.
I hate to say it but Christopher told Tony that he ate so much meat that he'd be dead by the time he was 50 at the intervention, he was pretty spot on as far as What happened to James in real life..
