"The example that is usually used is that Bachelors are unmarried men. That is just part of it. It's necessary. Like, you can't be a bachelor and be married because that is the definition of Bachelor". Funny you say that because there was a recently interview with a feminist activist on a national public radio in my country and she said (my personal translation from language) : "You decide if you self identify as a virgin or not." And yes, that is actually what she meant. This was not taken out of context. I thought my brain will melt after I heard that. You have people that reject the most basic truths nowadays.

Does virginity exist outside cultural contexts? Is there a biological basis to virginity?

Thank you for your work! These philosophy videos have been really helpful for understanding how the ideas large parts of our society take for granted developed. Makes for great discussions with family.

Hello, Dr. Cooper! It would be very interesting to hear your opinion on Leibniz. Considering that he criticized Descartes and the empiricists a lot and also tried to regain interest in ancient and medieval philosophy (although Cartesianism and empiricism and skepticism were popular in his time). Besides, he was a Lutheran P.S. I recently wrote you a letter asking you to speak out about Leibniz's ideas, but maybe it got lost somewhere or you haven't read it yet. This video gave a good reason to recall Leibniz :)

Thank you for this video! It helps me to see how the ideas of these philosophers have led to the modern problems of hyper-individualism and skepticism, both in society and the Church. I’ve heard many Eastern Orthodox commentators say that Luther’s Reformation actually paved the way for this development in the West. What do you think of that claim?

Hey, brother! As a new pastor and wanting to study some apologetics, what are a few books that you’d recommend? Specifically catering to an audience of youth, if that helps.
