I personally think that there was nothing wrong with what Shay did or that he had his daughter hold a sign imitating a homeless person, because it did not seem like he was making fun of homeless people in the video it seemed like she literally stood there for a minute just for the vlog/picture. it was just cute to see a little adorable girl holding the sign and no one in the vlog said anything mean or rude about homeless people and Shay himself thought the whole hidden sign concept interesting. Some people just need to learn to take it easy & live a little, and I really don't think Shay should need to overthink every little thing he does in HIS own vlogs.
I kinda feel bad for Sontard. His birthday was so lackluster compared to Princesstard's, from what I remember, Gavin just went to a movie with Shay only, and I think he got a toy. Avia gets all these new packages and nice things from extended family, and she gets to spend her birthday in New York. /:

it sucks because there are people who legitimately need money and ask for it on the streets and then there are people who scam you and ask for money on the streets. it really ruins it for those who actually need the money- these days you really can't trust ANYONE.
Not just people on the street do these things. People get scammed by businesses and stuff all the time. There are legitimate honest, do-good companies that work hard to serve people properly and then there are tons of companies that rip people off, are complete scams, etc.
shay, i admire how humble you are. instead of being all defensive, you took the high route, rethought your actions, and apologized to anybody you may have offended. in the grand scheme of things, what you did was not a big deal, at least not in my book. but i respect you so much for not being full of yourself and staying grounded! love you guys and wish you the happiest of days to come xx

People get offended too easily. It's alright Shay!! I can tell it really bothered you when people got upset- but you very rarely do anything like that, which is amazing considering how much you are in front of the camera (daily). Try not to lose sleep over it. Nearly all of us know you meant nothing by it. I mean, you're SHAY afterall.
you can kinda tell whether or not, but, does it really matter? if they are out here in the cold, they are less fortunate than you, but they still have a house, you could spare a few bucks. if you have this computer or smart phone where you can use the internet, you can give someone else who needs the money more than you some money.
Most of the time these homeless women with babies work for big organisations, when they get money, most of it goes to their boss and they only keep a bit of it...

Emma Swift He made the channel, started vlogging very early before most people had caught on. and he got up to speed with how to do it long before anybody else really cared. We all meet people who are just brilliant and exciting, but because they don't risk it to get the biscuit, then they don't realise their full potential...or any potential at all. People call you lucky when you get the break you fought for, there is no such thing as luck, only people looking back and declaring you to be 'lucky'. I am in no way a blind fan of Shay himself, I think for such a clever man to believe in Mormonism or religion is no less than irrational, but his life, the way he is with people, his family and how he crafted the perfect vlogging career? All down to him. Kudos.

I use to refuse to give to the homeless. Then I've gone through some really dark and hard times of my own. Now I always give. The way I look at it now is that I'm grateful to have something to give.
Very good way to look at life. I always judged people who asked for help until I found out first hand how easy it is to loose everything. All it takes is one little thing and your life can spiral out of control in a blink of an eye. I do not care what the people I help do with the money or items I choose to give them, I know I did what I felt was right and find that to be a rewarding feeling.

Thats so pathetic. People pretending to be homeless for money. Unfortunately it happens a lot, such greedy people. Unless you are suffering with a home, a food, or taking care of your children, you have NO reason to take advantage of people. I feel so bad that Colette got stuck in between that due to a selfish person. They make the world awful because now when you see homeless people your afraid to help because you think they are drug addicts or just damn greedy people that fake being poor.

there are people who are homeless and that is sad but over 70% of the homeless are drug/alcohol addicts and a large percent are homeless and it is their own fault. one of the reason for it is alcoholic, bad, sometimes divorced and violent parents and family. This is a good example of a role model for how family should be. This family is a such an inspiration
