@ArjenRobben Mr.Wembley closer to winning doesn't mean they winning🤦♂️. You mean Pep who had a City team that he has never been able to pass the quarter finals with? Mourinho won a UCL with fucken Porto have some respect
They could have won the UCL too had they have a better match-up. The semi finals was all-spain vs all-german. Between the two legs they have an el-clasico which ultimately the deciding match to determine the winners of la liga while the german bundesliga have concluded then. Both german teams have the luxury to rest their key players while real barca have their best lineup for 3 straight games within two weeks. Yet they were only beaten on penalty shoot-out. What a bad luck...
I remember when both centerbacks would join the attack in corners and Di maria would play as a sweeper to cover the counters and he DID GREAT there too
This team really deserved more success than it had,it was a thing of beauty to watch as counter attacking's finest team.Mourinho with a competenent board backing him is still as good tactically, but having to work under Woodward at Utd is the reason his reputation is not as high as it should be
Easily the greatest counter attacking team of all time , they were such a joy to watch, created fear in opponents , Ronaldo , Ozil, Di Maria with Benzema/Higuain were easily one of the greatest attacking quatrets of all time with The LEGEND Jose Mourinho ❤️. I still play fifa 12 to enjoy this team 😍😍😍
Tevez, Rooney, Ronaldo & Berbatov, in the PL, conter-attacking football was savage as well, Real's is better than United's 07/09? 🤔 not sure about that
Ugh guys defensive DOSENT MEAN U CANT SCORE GOALS!!!It is obvious that Mou likes to park the bus.The only club where he didnt do that dominantly was at Real Madrid. When u park the bus,u mean that u r happy off without the ball to play on the counter which his teams hav done well.It may not be too pleasing to the eye(a reason why United sacked him and why Abramovich wasnt too keen on him) but if u want to win trophies,he is your man.Which is why i feel that he is the perfect guy for Tottenham rt now
This was the most dominant Real in the modern era. The Zidane team mastered the art of winning big games but this team set league records that still hold, perfect counterattacking and the most balanced version of the galatico project ever. Absolute tragedy that all the most solid penalty takers missed!
The night that Real Madrid lost against Bayern in the penalty shootout shattered me. This team was undoubtedly the best in Europe that particular season.
No way. Mourinho did what he did best: Playing fairly defensive against Bayern who dominated the game. With the players available he could have played much better and more brave than he did. Yes in the league they scored for fun but when Mourinho faced quality opositions he always played defensively
You could say he is the *Chosen One* ... we all know what he's achieved and what teams he's managed, maybe he's not as good as he was before but he's still a beast and for me he is underrated...
I miss this 2011/12 team, Jose was famous for using defensive game but at that season his team scored a goals that even a team with MSN couldn't score.
There are many videos of this Real Madrid team's fast counter-attack. It simply is the best I have ever seen. Then the best and intelligent park the bus I've seen, is Inter against Barca 2010. I had never seen something like it at that point, and it just shows how unconventional Mouriho is. Thinks outside the box, and ready to do what is necessary to win.
In the few games spurs have played this season, there's slight similarities to this kind of football. With Bale joining the team, we might see full 11-12 tactics from Jose. Spurs fans should be very excited right now.
This is why his tactic did not work at Manchester United, because the players he had were not willing to be versatile or robust enough to make the tactic work
@@jean-paulwalters8408 yes thats indirectly what I was saying. Plus also in the midfield Pogba wasn't really willing to work hard or be versatile at all.
@@blink4122 I agree. I actually believe Man Utd will be a better player without Pogba. There is a reason why Sir Alex said he wasn't ready. He is not tactically disciplined
If only Kaka and Cristiano took those penalty kicks better on that day against Bayern Munchen, they would have gone to the final and faced a decent Chelsea side that overplayed it's park the bus tactics. Real Madrid would have won against that Chelsea side because they would have forced them to come out playing and Real were much more lethal on the counter than Chelsea who were literally defending with every man and countering. Jose would have definitely left Real right after that season however and la Decima would have been achieved in a different manner. Would that Real Madrid team managed to win the successive Champions League again like they did with Ancelotti and Zidane? Probably not.
How does this channel not have millions of subs yet?? The analysis is always on point and cant imagine how much work goes into every video. Such an underrated channel
If Madrid had more luck in the champions league semis, and made it past bayern, they would have undoubtedly won la decima that year, probably smashing chelsea in the final. Ronaldo was in his prime (goalscoring freekicks assisting dribbling pace), as in he was great at everything, and also the counter attacks were something else.
If Barça couldn't win against them and Heynckes Bayern couldn't beat them, Real most likely would've lost aswell. The luck of this Chelsea team ridiculously outstanding that season ! They way how the parked the bus etc. and how they fought. They wanted this CL so desperately. I'm a Bayernfan and if Barça, than the best team in the world and Bayern who, even though played without 2 regular starters, dominated them for 120 minutes couldn't beat them there's no possible chance that Real could've beaten that Chelsea team. Not because they were worse, both Barça and Bayern were miles better than Chelsea, but rather because Chelsea were so lucky.Nearly no team stood a chance against their luck that season.
“Mourinho spends a lot” “Mourinho only has teams when he spends” If I’m not mistaken, Mourinho spent on his 3 years in Madrid the same some managers spent only in 1. Obviously he inherited a really nice team.
It's actually pretty simple. Start with the best playmaker of the last decade(Özil) and the best finisher of the last decade(Ronaldo), plus a solid defence, two of the best defensive midfielders of their generation and one of the best wingers in the world, you get get a very good team anyway. Add the best manager in the world, and that team would be able to rip anyone apart. It's a mystery how that team never won a Champions League.
this is jose best creation he built a team thats feared for years and he left a squad that other managers inherited and used to shine but it all was Jose work from subs to main squad to new roles for players new spirit in Madrid was created
Current spurs squad were similiar with mourinho's 2011/2012 real madrid, they had son, bale, kane,, ozil=lo celso, khedira+alonso=hojbjerg+ndombele/winks, marcelo=reguilon
The best team that I've ever seen. The top of my top 5 ( which are 2011 Real Madrid, 2010 Inter, 2013 Bayern Munich, 2011 Barca and 2003/4 Arsenal). I was a Barca fan in those days, what a masterclass in his second year. He made me realise that being a football fan is a much better experience than being a club fan. Thanks for the analysis. We can talk about this team for hours. This was the team that really broke Barca's domination in football history. Mourinho's Real Madrid finished something that his Inter had started. Every counter-attack by this team should be taught and be analysed in classes. No wonder he has a Honorary Doctorate.
I see mourinho spurs playing similar style and killing of teams, he now has so much quality players at his disposal, can play suitable system against any opponent, I'm excited to see how the season turns out, 1 thing 4 sho it will end in silverware for spurs.
@@jean-paulwalters8408 he wanted to sign another defender, deal just ddnt go through, but I think they can still do it with Sanchez and dier I know they haven't kept clean sheet, they must improve on set pieces and they will be fine, let's see how it goes looks promising
Sadly this tactic will be hard to replicate since pure number 10's like Ozil can't find a place in the modern intense pressing game. But I think the modern incarnation of it will involve Kane more in transition, unleashing Bale, Son, or other hard working wingers on the counter. It might just work. Kane himself said in a FIFA video that he has been working on his passing lol.
Yes the best jose mouriniho team This season made me fall in love with real Madrid and Ronaldo I watched every game of this season It was the best ever... Very unlucky to loose on penalties to bayern
As a Barça fan, I'd love to see Madrid get back to its past glory and challenge us to the core...we've stagnated for years and need a whoop on the arse. (I know we got that from Bayern, but hey, we don't talk about that here :P)
Well tbh barca aint doing that good anymore too, both teams kinda faded slowly which is a shame. You always had PL with its nerve wrecking seasons, germans with their strict and efficent plays and all that but no club anywhere else in the world hasnt gotten even close to something like these 2 clubs have done. I would rather watch these 2 clubs playing that beautiful football they once played than this shit we have now. All respect to Bayerns domination lately and all that but come on.. Liverpool and Bayern will never be Real Madrid and Barcelona, these 2 clubs have a history that no other has
@@Ghost-yc7eq yes man, it is really annoying to see these shit Epl clubs and bayern winning the champions league and people start to compare them with the giants clubs that the game has ever seen
Although we all can have mixed opinions on Jose but he is winner and he does things his way that Madrid team was one of my favourite and I am not even a Madrid fan
He applied 4231 in Real Madrid, Chelsea and Man Utd. It worked for both Real Madrid and Chelsea (of course it was far more effective in Madrid), but not working in Man Utd. People say his tactic is outdated and he did not set the tactics with the Man Utd way (I don't really get the real definition of Man Utd way tho), but from what i see, the Man Utd players were simply lack of commitment and tactical intelligence (except some players like Ibra, Mctominay, Herrera and Valencia) compare to Real Madrid's and Chelsea's players.... They refused to play out of position for tactical purposes, refuse to track back, and when played in favourite position, they also offered almost nothing..
Unfortunately, Mourinho did not win the UCL with his two best teams. Real Madrid 2011/12 season (Always unlucky with penalty shoot-outs). Probably the best or joint best La Liga team. Chelsea 2004/05 season (Ghost goal). Still painful, as Mourinho would have probably achieved something spectacular by winning the UCL with FC Porto in 04, and Chelsea in 05.
I am literally stunned! Earlier today, I was just thinking why I support Real Madrid and I realised that when I started watching Football, this Mourinho's side made me fall in love with REAL MADRID along with the beautiful game. Now,even after 10 years I'm still supporting it unlike some fans who supported the club just for one player. This video made my day,Thank You. HALA MADRID!
Mourinho's Madrid was the team that was potentially one of the fastest teams to do counter attacks or to correctly put even take the ball from defence to attack line. I am Barca fan, and he built this team during Guardiola's time in Barca. So I must say it is highly commendable.
I could see Jose is building his RM v2.0 in Spurs this season & in the next 2 or 3 years (if he still stays). GK: Lloris ==> Casillas RB: Doherty (or Aurier) ==> Arbelo LB: Reguilon (or Davis) ==> Marcelo CB: Sanchez+Dier ==> Ramos + Pepe Holding/Defensive Midfield: Hojberg/Winks/Sissoko ==> Alonso/Khedira Attacking Midfield: Ndombele/Lo Celso/Alli/Lamela) ==> Ozil/Kaka LW: Son(aldo) (Or Bergwijn) ==> C. Ronaldo RW: Bale (or Moura or Lamela) ==> Di Maria Foward: Harry Kane/Vinicius ==> Benzema/Higuain Can they win over rather settled Defending Champion of Liverpool of Klopp? Can they win over the rather settled/semi-old team of Man. City of Guardiola? Can they win over the rather new/unsettled team of Chelsea of Lampard? They may have a chance, I would say 70-80%, if ALL players stick to Jose's tactics & strategy and get boosted by confidence & mentality. Of course it also come down to some very small details & luck sometimes (VAR again...???!!!) lol But one thing I'm pretty sure is: When the day Jose left Man.U nearly 2 years ago, I could guarantee (over 95%) you that Jose will WIN the next trophy (wherever he goes) before Man. U could. So GOOD LUCK JOSE!!! GOOD LUCK SPURS!!!
Tottenham Hotspur looks like Real Madrid under Mourinho nowadays. Son + Kane is more like Ronaldo + Benzema and they scored 5+ goals in 3 games this season.
Agreed. But tactically, right now Mourinho used 4-3-3 (just like real madrid chapter one with diarra) without the playmaker or the number 10. So, I think this is more defensive playstyle but deadly counter attack.
Jose's Real was deadly. I remember how sure of victory i felt in big matches because of how potent the counter attacks were. These days Real is like a little mouse, no sting what so ever.
With that squad, nah, Bale barely reliable, Vinicius, is he good enough to back up a injury prone Kane? Lucas, hasn't pulled up trees since Ajax 2 years ago, still a poor defence
@@jean-paulwalters8408 but they Ndombele is back and Lo Celso will have had a season to settle. So it's a completely different team than what it was last year.
This video makes me learn that 4-2-3-1 is such a versatile and great formation. It can be used for tiki-taka, counterattack, gegenpressing, and park the bus. Also, even 4-2-3-1 double false 9 is possible with both the attacking midfielder and striker dropping deep leaving the wingers to exploit space in front. 4-2-3-1 false 9 with the striker dropping deep also works.
Real Madrid [2011-2012] :- Agility - 10/10 Tactics - 10/10 Chemistry - 10/10 Manager - GOD All players were flexible and played without being selfish ,main examples are Higuain and Benzema both scoring in double figures Jose being master tactician nullified treble winnners Barca and ended their rein too soon as no European club team could beat barca.
THANK YOU. People need to recognize Mourinho was THE FIRST to really utilize half spaces in the modern game. A great deal of Klopp's Liverpool can be found in Mourinho's pressing 4-2-4. Brought Real Madrid back to winning ways, and did it with style, flair and tenacity. Classic Mourinho.
This team I felt was more lethal than 16/17 bcoz by 16/17 Ronaldo had adapted his game to prolong his career as he aged but 11/12 Ronaldo in this team was a demon of a footballer
very nice video, nearly perfect I would say. the only thing that is missing imo is the contributions of Kaka as he still played quite a lot that season instead of Di Maria, in which case Özil would play on the right. was curious how the system worked in that instance
Ozil (lo celso/ndombele) di maria (bale/lucas) Benzema (kane) ronaldo (son) Alonso (hojberg) and Khedira (sissoko). You can literally see why Mourinho is enjoying a fully fit spurs team! Once the injuries kick in though things will get difficult
Mourinho’s RM was the unluckiest team ever He led Real Madrid to their first CL semi final in 8 years and lost to THAT Barca team After that he won laliga with a 100 point record and lost in the semifinals by a penalty shootout vs Bayern after a heroic performance. The 3rd top scorer of the team had 21 goals just shows you how strong that team was 2012/13 lost again in the semifinals and needed just one goal to make a legendary comeback and reach the final
The year before Mourinho came to Real Madrid, they lost 1-7 to Barcelona. In his first match they lost 0-5 to Barcelona. In his second year, he defeated Barcelona twice & won the league with the highest points & goals ever recorded in La Liga. Yet they call him Park the Bus.
He produced the fastest team in Europe in counter attacking football whilst also pressing to dominate possession shifting between the two tactics. Dominate a shaky opponent or offer the ground to a challenging team to sting them on counters. His problem was that he was too volatile and that impacted the squad due to recurrent dramas.
We ought to forget that this team scored 96,92,100 points in its three seasons ...nd outplayed barca in the cdr final ..... surely this team was something ...but we also can't deny the toxic atmosphere created by this team in Clasicos
Though Mourinho didn't win the Champions League with Real Madrid, I think he has a lot of credit with Real Madrid success, he built a competitive team and the only thing Ancelotti had to do was to win the Champions, I would have liked Mourinho won a Champions because he had a great team to do so.
Could a video bout how modern football changed that u don't need to be a striker in order to be the main goalscorer but a Wide Forward starting from the wing and drating into the halfspace using there incredible pace left between the Fullback and Central Defender players like Cr7 Bale Salah Mane Mbappe Werner Aubameyang etc
Ozi to ronaldo was telepathic. Guaranteed goal everytime sometimes ozil wouldnt even have to look. Def hurt seeing ozil and di maria go i wish wed still have them in the team
Very unfortunate to not win the UCL. Personally, one of the biggest dampers on Mou's time a Real was the pushing out of Casillas. I understand Mou had his reasons but he was a far better keeper than Diego Lopez and Real possibly could have seen more success had that situation not happened.
This makes me play PES2012 due to knowing Real Madrid's and Barcelona's interesting tactics with greatest ever players by that time. 2011-12 season was my best childhood period. Real Madrid and Barcelona were just unlucky that season in the Champions League due to having a match between th between the two semifinal matches to decide La Liga winner. It's also interesting to see them score 110+ goals using two different interesting ways.
I feel like people forget how bad things were at Real in the last decade before Mourinho came in compared to their glorious history as well as recent success.
Bob P højbjerg has been class. Agree on the CB tho but it looks like we’ll b going back in January for Skriniar with Inter already looking for a backup
I can't imagine if Real Madrid in 2013-15 has the following lineup instead of the one in reality: GK: Casillas RB: Arbeloa CB: Raphael Varane CB: Sergio Ramos LB: Marcelo DM: Xabi Alonso AM: Modric AM: Ozil RW: Higuain LW: Ronaldo False 9: Benzema
I wish Mourinho gets a team like that Real Madrid again. That team was all about "one of the best" in every position. Attackers, Midfielders, defenders, etc. Its been long time since Mourinho had best team in the world. Chelsea was good but not 1 of best, Untied was just crap. Hope he gets best players & best team in world again according to his needs & we can again see a fastest attacking record breaking team. Imagine if Tottenham let Mourinho buy anybody he wants like Abramovich did.
