Met the owner of this awesome Z at Carolinas Ale House on NW 36th St in Doral a couple of years ago, took some picture of the Z, it was still a work in progress but you could already tell it was going to be an epic build. Glad to see it here and that both the car an owner are getting recognition. Thumbs up
The4valanche ahh I see. Cause when they showed the lambo i could see red and they said the Datsun was the same color. But it makes sense now. Thought I was colour blind for a second
When I was a boy , always was my preffer when I played running esc 1/64 ! I love deep deep this car , I have one 710, the first car of my Father , always red too ... I love Datsun , I'm try put beautiful now with a little money, my best friend say good bye of this world in 2016 my car it's a modest 76 , he buy this car for leave in my Kinder and say , imagine this ! ...dream with Foose and 1000 things but not happening... before of Datsun , all the things that together with yours elections we share in owns lives ... Cool. Did you have any issues installing the GReddy Kit? Im about to buy it but I have a 280Z and per vendor modes are needed due to not a 240Z. Please assist.
it can't get 100k in Indonesia, need spend more than 100k to build some modification and restoration like this, so expensive here. btw nice vlog and really nice car
I don't believe that build cost you $ 100k! LET'S GET STARTED: Rocket bunny kit is $4,500 Work wheels meister / Custom Glossy Outer cr01 16x10/11 is $3500 Tires 555: $1300 ( even tho it will not pass $1k ) BC Coilover $1450 Buckets Corbeau $1k ( i know it is cheaper but I add more) Steering Wheel Sparco $600 ( i know it is cheaper but I add more) Headlights Dapper Projector $300 Wire Tuck performed $1k ( even tho I know it is around $700) High-Performance aluminum radiator with dual fans $1k ( even tho I know it is around $490) Cold Air Intake $1k ( lol I know it is less than $600 for the best of the best if it was the best ) Straight Piped Exhaust $1k (let's assume it is the best even the custom one costs $300 ) Headers (wrapped) $1k ( lol I know it will not be more than $450 but I set it as $1k) Upgraded alternator, Slave/Mater Cylinder, Clutch with most parts imported from Tokyo Japan !!! let's assume it is $10k TOTAL of performance part in the HIGHEST MSRP PAID is $28K TOTAL of restoration + Laber+ paint and let's assume rust removing and new sheet metal in the best shop $10k Let's add $5k for no damn reason Let's add the car cost originally $25k ( even tho I bought mine for $800) CAR TOTAL COST WITH ALL PARTS AND LABEL IS $68K (IF WE ASSUMED THAT THE CAR PRICE WAS $25K ) CAR TOTAL IN MY CALCULATION FOR THIS BUILD INCLUDE THE CAR COST IS $45K You are welcome,
Weatherstripping/Edge protector falling off instead of black sealant on the kit, front struts about to pop out of the towers, painted over old sealant/filler and over rust damage on the firewall... No, Javi is not that meticulous, but he knows how to turn an honest car into a peacock. Seriously, looks good though. I can respect that much.
Hey Gaston and Renzo! Again an extremely cool car. Your vids are absolutely great! Wishing you more and more subs. But can you talk to the police without wearing seatbelts? You can't do that in many countries, I would say. Ok, drive safe especially when you don't wear any seatbelts! Best wishes from Taiwan
Thank you for your support. We are certainly advocates of safe driving and don't encourage anyone to drive without a safety belt. The car still has factory belts and due to the aftermarket buckets they don't wrap around. The owner is working on fixing that! Thanks again we are feeling the love from Taiwan! Cheers my friend.
I can't say I'm happy with my 280zxt after like 2 decades with it. It hasn't been a very reliable car. Blown a lot of head gaskets, and fuel injectors are always leaky, and shocks have always been shot out. All that premium luxury car stuff on it... cruise control, talking lady, door lights, air conditioner, stereo, digital dash, gas tank measuring stick, oxygen sensor, etc... just dies over time and never works again. The clear coat peels off and looks like dandruf. I've had to clean the steering column light stick contact switches more times than I can count. It's not a very friendly vintage car to own at all. It only seems fast because it's low to the ground. I gave up driving the Z and switched to driving cruiser motorcycles, they were much more fun, cheaper, more fuel efficient, faster, and just better vehicles. The Z now seems like a gas plg by comparison, I would never go back to driving the Z.

2.8l block 40 over with a e31 head with the 2.8l valve and a 280 camwith a 495lift and header and su carb with bigger needles will be the set up 10.1comp plus a turbo muffler with a 2.5 straight pipes will be the perfect set up the sound will be a deeps deep sound like a ford motor hp over 200 hp fast fast car fun to drive guys but the sound is beautiful the cam make the car come alive believe me i know
This is one beautiful car! Why bother with rearview mirrors? How could you possibly see anything out of them? If you're going to make a car look like a bad-ass, it should at least have 200 horsepower. He should put an RB in it.
They have the exact same body. The only things that really changed from the 240, 260, and 280z were the engines and interior. The 280z also got a different front and rear bumper to comply with laws in the US. Outside of that, they all share the same body.
Do A Geiken Stroker 3.1-3 3,W/ Triple Mikunis Injection can & Still Might Have Trouble Getting It Insured for $100,000 Grand.PROBABLY A GREAT HANDLING Z,But A Simple Coil Over Kit,Like Bilstein & Toyota Supra Calipers would Be A Lott Cheaper & Handle 85% Better Than Stk,Especially W/ 16" Coddingtons or Specialty Rims,For LOTLess Than A $100,00.
58K original miles? That’s really low, but if I recall, the original odometer on the Datsun Z rolls back to 0 pass 99,999 miles or something like that. So how do you know if that’s the actually miles?
Good question - the car was purchased by our friend from the 1st owner. 1) the original owner knows that the car didn't roll over. 2) the car is very good paper documentation. 3) the condition of the car was very consistent with 58K miles.
All that money and the pillowball mount is cracking.. they didn't reinforce with a plate as those are known weak spots. when it fails its going to jack some stuff up. Hope this was fixed.
Wow, I thought this would be a better vehicle for the price. A simple set of triple Webbers, the right cam and a set of headers, on an old school 240Z might make fun of this, "money boy" joke.
I see typical car guy arrogance in the comments. What a car is worth and what it cost to build, are two completely different things. They never once said the car is worth $100K. They said it cost $100k to build. What you would pay for the finished car is irrelevant to the build cost. And if you can make it better, cheaper, faster, whatever. Do it. Make a video, post a link. We want to see your better build.
As for value of the Datsun Z. Here is how it will go.... The Porsche 911 was the only true competition , for the 240Z, back in 1969. The 240Z was Samurai Sword slice the Sports Car Market owned by the British Leyland bevy of models. The Triumphs and MG's .The Fiats and the Alfa's and ,cough, the Karman Ghia. That was its intended Market. But it could swallow a 6ft driver, which alot of the rivals could not do. It had an over head cam 6 .When most had push rod motors pulled from old designed sedans. And very handsome, good looks , as good at the race track as it was at a wedding. The ONLY car comparable , was the 911. When the 240Z came out , there were more unskilled drivers , behind the wheels of Porsches. You didnt come across alot of Peter Gregg's or Hurley Haywood types driving Porsches in early days of the 240Z. But you did have a lot of drivers that cut their teeth on other sports cars and for the price , how could you pass it up , the 240Z! And not being able to afford a 911, Z drivers always would pick a 911 out in traffic .Porsche drivers Always had a secret weapon ,they could lose alot of cars in the corners...... Thats why as a 240Z driver it was so fun to be side by side , with a 911 driver and see the disbelief in their faces....FUN ! My friend at work , his grandmother bought him a new 1973 240Z as a graduation from high school gift! Even though I was driving my self restored right hand drive bugeye sprite....I was SOOOO jealous ,that car had such good looks and long legs , it was to me a Japanese Ferrari. A girl I knew had a neighbor , they had a son in the NAVY he had a brand new '73 240Z Black ,( he had it painted black yes a new car!) headlight covers, front and rear spoilers , a racing steering wheel and roll bar , and exhaust . It was the most custom 240Z I had seen , for a new Z. They were special in a class of there own , back then. But Today , Porsche 356 and 911have been hunted down by the enemy of the Sports Car Enthusiast. The Investor. So 356/911 have reached a price so high .That Enthusiasts looking for a Classic Car. To drive Will look for what is in the performance of the 911..... And history shows its the 240Z. People say they rust poorly. My freinds car his grandmother bought the new 240Z .It rusted that same year. The car used 22 gauge sheet metal thru out its construction. Some heavier guage gussets. The Design was LIGHTNESS...not 50 years as a classic. Sell lots of Light Weight Coupes! The cars were so much fun to drive THEY GOT DRIVEN! PORSCHE knew all about World Markets and road conditions and were building the 356's like tanks. And quality control on water coming in from outside in every possible manner. They used undercoat as standard equipment. This quality control got better with the 911....and still today. Almost ever Porsche was garage kept...not so with the much lower priced Z cars. Datsun had to learn all these manufacturing technics like using galvanized sheet steel and how to weld panels together that wont trap moisture. 240Z are already being hunted , the past ten years in a frenzy. What saves the 240z-280z for the enthusiasts. Is Rust ! It strikes fear in the hearts of Investors . But as an enthusiasts , with a space to work on their Z car. RU-vid and HybridZ forum will teach you how to restore your shell into a show winner. Get them while you can, a rusty Z is your freind. No investor wants it and you can rebuild it into the classic Z you want. If you pay some one else to do welding its expensive .Get a 99dollar mig welder. And watch you tube Z building videos. More. Beginners build Z cars with amazing results. "DARE TO BE DIFFERENT"
Best comment yet. Car is 3/4 vaporware. And these two tryhards are just self-inflated used car shysters. That Z is like them; polished and serious looking, but empty, damaged, and gutless. The way they only have an accent when they speak their own names(like it's something special) tells me all I need to know.
100K these guys don't know shite about Z cars. Trust me I own a low VIN 240Z that is heavily modified. I could see 60K tops if the Z had a full strip down rotisserie restore and that's pushing it. The engine is pretty much stock. It did not have a full rotisserie resto. Big give away is the sprayed over firewall grommets.
So where did the other 75k go? And factory HP for the l28 was 150. Given the age with no talk of internals I'm sure it makes 130hp now. Fender mirrors "special order from malaysia" =reps I'm sure he was 25k into it
Really? For a rust free sub 50K mile, one owner car? A donor car like that will cost you. Then you have to add the custom work and restoration. At least at South Florida rates...
@@GastonRossato 240z rust free perfectly original have been anywhere from 25k-40k. This a 280z. About half the value (for whatever reason, makes my build cheaper). All I'm saying is I would have guess it has 10k of body and paint, maybe 15, it is a gorgeous color. Wheels 4k, tires 1k, fender mirrors like 400? Seats and interior another 2-3k. Body kit is 5 or 6k? Coilovers are 1200, That's about 25k in parts. So maybe I did exaggerate a bit. Car did look clean when he bought, so maybe 10k for the z. So I would estimate 35-40k all in realistically. Not saying it's not done nicely, it is. Also stock HP was 150(that's what Nissan claimed at least.
Your 25thousand plus $8.500 for Rocket Bunny Pandom body panels ( they dont fit well ) Add another 3, 000 to make them fit. About 35 thousand. But if you bought the car and took it to " A SHOP" they could eat up another 30,000 in labor....talk you into more up grades engine swap tran swap lsd , back breaking heim joint suspension, full cage . We are burning up your 75 thousand balance. This is what the Z car is . A classic car the owner usually up grades himself. Thats what Z owners have ALWAYS DONE. Its only rival in the day was a Porsche 911.......we all know Those 911 owners never worked on their cars themselves.....
@@GastonRossato any where rates ( really)Zcars have always been garage built. Not " A SHOP" built like Porsche owners. We all know, the ONLY reason Porsche 356/911. Vintage cars have shot up in value. Is because it costs the owner s o much money having it rebuilt in "A SHOP" when they sell it they try and recoup all the dollars they spent restoring it. Z cars have ALWAYS BEEN Owner built...no " A SHOP" involved. You can give a chevette to an "A SHOP" and will cost you ten times the cars value......but its still a chevette.
@@MindDezign agreed, and that's why I said 35-40k all in just because I'm sure I forgot some things like labor and other odds and ends. Would have been cool to see side drafts carbs or ITB while keeping efi or a L28et. My favorite builds are all the robello or OS GIKEN cars that look pretty normal but sound and perform crazy.
To many very nice Z out there this is a good car . But no 100,000 grand car FOR SURE. Mr K's personal yellow gnose Z is not worth 100,000.......oh well you don't know enough about Z cars.....it's ok can not be an expert on all Marque's
I know! It's a new channel, so we're working on it. In the meantime please help with liking, sharing and subscribing. We appreciate your support! Cheers
Since the account was opened, yes, you’re right. Minus the random inconstante videos, it wasn’t a channel. Since we started producing weekly, high quality content and decided to make it a real channel has only been a few months.
J'ai facepalm au bout de 2 minutes.. quand il parle millage... Les gars y'a que 5 chiffres au compteur.... Elle a surement fait 2 ou 3 fois le tour... Mauvais vous êtes !
Go to the Z boards, every Z owner is saying the same crap,, YOU CAR IS NOT WORTH IT,,, maybe 20k... maybe,, rear drum brakes,, ya, thats a 100,000 dollar car my ass.
@@GastonRossato i have a beautiful 78Z (racing green) mostly all stock, but i have to say your Lambo Z with them wheels has to one of the most stunning I've ever seen, congratulations !
i have a 76 racing green 280z in Delaware with 29k miles. was garaged for 40 years before i rescued it. ive kept it stock but love this one. i traded some carpentry work for mine!
It's cool to see modded cars, but the fact is im a big fan of originally. I really appreciate the preservation of a car after so long. Congrats and keep her on the road!
Gorgeous 280Z! One of the best looking classics. Some compare the 240/280Z to the early Porsche 911s. Timeless car with amazing body lines and of course great sounding.
Sorry, not subscribing. Why? Because you two were not wearing seatbelts. That’s a bad look. Not the type of influence kids should be exposed to. I mean, really, dudes?
