Thank you for making this video. Too many people think they can get rich quick pumping out puppies in a puppy mill. Breeding your dog should be passion hobby and shouldn't be done more than 3 times in her lifetime. Keep up the great work and keep telling people the truth.
I had 14 puppies and after all the expenses were paid and I recuperate my investments on the dogs, I made 11k off my first litter and only litter. I had 2 pups DOA and I didn't need a c section. Stay blessed. Good video
I say this all the time this is no get rich quick scheme u will not see a profit until after bout the 3rd or 4th litter maybe the 2nd if u have TOP QUALITY DOGS
I like how real he puts it. I feel like I'm sitting down with a friend asking for advice and he is telling me the reality of the business behind the scenes. keep it up!
I breed Neopolitan Mastiff's... my last 2 litters brung me over 70k. One female has 10 pups the other had 13. $3k for boys 3.5-4k for females, depending on color. AKC certified. Blue ribbon champion parents. So what you're saying is all facts... but just raise the price of the pups to cover the expenses. 💯
I know a woman that was on Tik tok .. hee dog was laboring really long .. went to vet .. vet said everything was fine .. later on .. one baby was stuck in her canal and she lost the entire litter .. no dogs survived
I have a question for you, how do you go about getting papers on your dog if you can't get the info from the person that the dog was bought from? I am trying to start a kennel, and I have had the wisdom panel done on her and all her shots. I was able to get a picture of both her mom and dad with their names, but that is it. I really would like to pick your brain a little more and maybe you can point me in the right direction. Thanks for your time and great video btw.
Unfortunately their is no way unless you get the paperwork from the person you bought her from. You will need to purchase a dog with a respectable breeder that has paperwork on their male and female. I would say call the breeder and ask him for the paperwork.
@@l.o.bkennels3640 I did reach out to them and asked if any of the 3 dogs (mom, dad or my dog) had papers and I have gotten no response to that question. Then I asked at another time what is her birthday and I got a quick response on that. So I suppose the silence is the answer to my first question.
Great video, this is very informative, I my dogs had puppies and it’s been overwhelming caring for the litter of six as well as my 3 other dogs. I wasn’t even planning on it but I knew it was possible she’d get pregnant because none are fixed. Luckily the stud was my Belgian malinois so the pups are good specimens and I will be keeping them and your video has touched a lot good points 👍
ER c-section where I live is $6000. I breed pomeranians. Average litter size is 3 -4 puppies. I've been blessed with big litters, but breeding is expensive. Also the cost of all the genetic and health testing.
Thanks I may have a litter coming up in Sept I'm dropping a video today or tomorrow make sure you are subscribed so you can see what we have coming up this will be a great litter to start your program
Thank you and that's great that u are considering breeding and we do have pups available RIGHT NOW hit that subscribe button and follow us to see what we got next
I love this but what about the time you take to make sure these puppies are doing well. I weigh my puppies every morning, I don't get much sleep as the puppies keep me awake, they sleep in a pen in my room, I have 2 weeks off to care for my female before she has her puppies and then 2 weeks once the puppies are born to be sure all goes well. I would spend 9 hours a day with my pups sensitising them, training them etc depending on age. I have a loss of wages as I am casual so that 4 weeks that I have off means that I am missing out on $1000 a week in wages to make sure these pups are happy healthy pup. I am on my second litter and I am in Australia so a lot of those expenses you can triple for me it cost me $100 a pup for vaccination and micro chipping. I have to pay registration fees for my dogs to be a breeder, I pay $144 a year to keep a intact dog. So many extra expenses it is not funny. Also I breed Cavoodles so my girl so far has only had 3 puppies per litter, not 10.
Great video👍 keep up the good work sir 💯 . I breed Yorkshire Terriers and let me tell you its not easy but for the betterment of the breed its worth it to me 🙌 Lots of work behind the scenes💪 very few would understand 🤔 keep the videos coming sir 🤝
Very informative and logical thinking. Thank you very much, but only 1 thing I noticed, you have counted c-section twice, one planned(1000$) and one unplanned (2500$), and in best scenario, you only removed the 2500$.
No problem and yea I probably did make a few mistakes in this video but I tried to get the math A1 THANKS FOR WATCHING AND SUBSCRIBE MORE GREAT VIDEOS TO COME

You calculated both $1,000 for a scheduled C section + $2,500 for an emergency C section so you double counted it. Why would you need an emergency C-section if you already have a scheduled C section? Also, only big dogs tend to have litters 8-10. Smaller dogs are often 5-6. And responsible breeders usually don't breed until the 2nd heat which means the carrying costs of your girl will be higher. Many breeds especially smaller dogs don't need C-section. Certain breeds almost require it but it's not a normal expense for most breeders. A lot of breeders do genetic testing, x-rays on certain joints, and ultrasounds. Also, there is the cost to register dogs with the AKC. There are marketing expenses from advertising to buying cameras to buying video editing software.
Yes all of this is tru and the reason u would do an emergency c section is for a few reasons 1 mom is struggling to push them out 1 maybe stuck in the canal or maybe 1 is Breached and mom can't push that 1 out and ur right big dogs do tend to have more and small dogs have less and yes u shouldn't breed a female up until the 2nd or 3rd heat everything your saying is so tru this video I didn't touch on each and every single point. BUT what I did do is give you somewhat of a breakdown and give people that don't have the knowledge a lil knowledge to have to start. You have complete knowledge of everything and yes all of these things are apart of breeding and I hope everyone that watches this video take this and some of the comments and don't make the mistakes that myself and others have made
We are not adding Taxes to a dog until u get ur LLC u collect every dollar you make but remember the money you put out is not the money your going to receive back
Yes no problem even when u create your LLC I think you have like 3 years before you have to report your earnings don't quote me on that but I know it's like 2 to 3 years but trust me you don't want to create an LLC out the rip because your going to lose more then your going to gain
@@l.o.bkennels3640 Oh that makes sense, I'm going to do alot of research. For me, I was looking into the breed of Goldens so I want to do it right entirely. Again thanks!
@@l.o.bkennels3640 true, it would just change the total depending on which one. U had both when doing the total. I hope u understand what I'm saying and I'm not trying to be negative.
No I get it if u schedule it on the weekend some vets still call it an emergency because the doctors are off on the weekend but the cost is alot lower when you schedule it on the weekend vs waking the doctor up at 12am saying I need to bring my baby in both are considered emergency. BUT during the week u can call at 7 am and b there by 3 and it's just a c section
@@l.o.bkennels3640 when u are adding everything up on ur daughters phone u put 1k for c-section and then 2500 for emergency c-section. It would be one or the other. Great video though.
@@l.o.bkennels3640 I’m in Bartlett, I have rescue pitbulls, but as you know they spayed and neutered them at Memphis animal shelter. I just couldn’t let them kill such sweet babies. I wish you good luck with your babies.
Don't forget puppy whelping , dna test , health panel., akc registration or puppy you hold back for the future but good video to give folks a rough idea to breeding
My Husky mated with my Rhodesian ridgeback and had 9 puppies yesterday everything went well with them and all have great coats but now there is 11 dogs in the house 🙏 I already know it’s going to be hard for her and me to give away any puppies I’m keeping 2 but how does your females take giving away their puppies? Do they get any drastic health problems or anything from stress of selling them away?
I'm so sorry for the late response I think this question will be good for a video please subscribe if you haven't already done so and I will drop a video Tomorrow answering your question and giving u more inside on the situation
Most bitches are ready for their pups to leave at 8-10 weeks. We humans struggle with it far more than the pups and bitches do. Most bitches are over motherhood by that stage, and pups are ready to start their adventures. You do occasionally have a bitch who will pine for her pups, especially if they are removed too early, but at 8+ weeks, you shouldn't have any issues. We start weaning at 3 weeks (by feeding the pups) and by 4-6 weeks the bitch will begin weaning them. Just because they are weaned, doesn't mean they don't need mum any more. Although she's not feeding them, she's still teaching them, and the pups learn important social skills from her and each other (bite inhibition, reading other dogs, manners, etc).
And that's ur right if that was in your budget I respect it!!! And it's a great dog I bet but when your ready to buy from a respectable and trustworthy person and where you can get the pedigree and family tree to the dog call me LOB kennels is ready to get you a pup. But yes the dog game has change you have dogs now selling anywhere from 2k to 100k
@@l.o.bkennels3640 What I'm saying is this. I live at the Constitution/Common Law. Where Pooky, Rae Rae, Juan, Carlos, and White Bubba live at. Not where the International Commercial Corporate Elite live at. I'm trying to run a profitable business that everyone could afford. And where I could pay my employees a living wage. And I realized, that can't be done, play the Commercial Corporate Paper Ponzi Scheme. So I stick with cash no paperwork. And market on the Unregulated Internet. That's my point. Good Luck.
@Respect America 2 🤣🤣 me too bro pooky stay 2 doors down from but just like you saved up for that PS5 and that new pair of J's I had to do the same thing I was fortunate enough that people was willing to help if you want to get serious hit me up and let's talk 706-427-4682
And that's the problem your looking at money if you want to breed you have to look at it as an investment. Then if you want a mut go to the shelter that's fine that your choice but if you want something with prove of life and blood 2k is cheap people out here selling dogs for up to 20k to 100k and yes that is ridiculous at that price but if you can make 3 ot 4 times your money back your winning
@@l.o.bkennels3640 NO IT IS RIDICULOUS! AND 20K, AND 100K IS MORE RIDICULOUS!!! I THINK 5-6 HUNDRED IS PLENTY! THE DOGS DIE IN 10 YEARS! THAT IS MY POINT A MONEY RACKET!
@@l.o.bkennels3640 I agre, it is deeper than that now but the original bully was just that, a pit bull on steroids so they mixed the APBT x Am Staff… later people started adding whatever they wanted and waiting 4-6 generations to call it purebred. We all know Merle, exotics and pockets and XLs didn’t come from just the APBT x Am Staff cross. We got some pockets from line/inbreeding, others we to from the bulldog.
@David Ben Judah which is true but the bully breed is still new but has been breed to the point where you NO LONGER SEE ALL THE OTHER THINGS that went on to get to this point I agree with you thou
It usually 2500 to 3000 for one puppy. If you have your male then that is taken off. If someone wants to breed they normally get pick of the litter. I didn't feed my girl that much extra. And if I had two female I would have two liters at a time.
OK sir I had to sit and watch this video in order to see what u was talking about I said the female can hurt the male if she not claim when locking up if she Gatorade roll and yes 100k mini I decent and if your not putting everything in to this then I wouldn't invest into this
I am breeding miniature long hair dachshunds. I’m expecting about 7-8 dogs based on the ultrasound in a couple of weeks. These guys are very expensive dogs and they only get the best treatment. They are my babies. I’m not that interested in the money, but 1500-2500 for the dogs is not unreasonable and I still make nothing. So dude you hit the nail on the head.
I raised show dogs and bred poodles and Yorkies so never had litters that large. I assume he is a backyard breeder of pit bull- type dogs. You need to breed only top quality healthy dogs! We professional breeders breed for improvement of the breed and only breed show quality bitches and champion studs!
I wouldn’t buy anything from you with this rude and arrogant comment. How do you call this man a backyard breeder that must be selling pit bulls. I’m not even going to look too deep into that but watch your mouth before you ruin your business.
I’m in California and most emergency C-section cost starting @6500 depending where you live if your near the coast and Bay Area be ready to pay up starting at 7-8k and in Oklahoma emergency C-section average 400-600 you know where the greed is just with those prices:/
Yes here in GA or Alabama they are fairly cheap but man that's crazy prices 6500 to 8k you basically have to sell a pup to get your money back for a c section
😆 🤣 I don't know if I got an answer for this one but the only thing I can think of is watching the pups grow up and be babies but other then that yeap it cost
You are telling people how to be an irresponsible breeder and highway rob others over a dog. I have never heard of a stud fee over 500dollars. And deworming is so simple, you can do that on your own, get some from Tractor Supply and manually deworm each puppy, at home. That should not be added to the price of a puppy, when a buyer comes up for any of your puppies.
Please explain to me how I'm telling people how to b irresponsible when I'm just breaking NUMBERS DOWN and I hardly ever see a stud fee at 500 if you have put the work in to show people the stud is WORTHY
Health test parents. Paperwork What is the long-lived Titles Return policy Pro test may be multiple times Multiple ai,s And upbringing, cleaning supplies.......
Add to it, and more the time 24 7 for the first 4 to 6 weeks but in your hourly wage with no 401k , health insurance, But let's be truth, to many shortcuts and hussels out there , magnificent breeders do it first for the love of the breed. Than for some earnings . But most humans do it because they are. .....f#.....! Eva
I agree but that y I add I think 2500 for etc things like that and yes some do it for just the money I do it because I love the breed I wish more people would start doing it for the love of the breed
I dont breed for a long time ,my grandfather germany hunting dogs, my dad malis and gsd Dutch I dobermans for 3 sold my line came to USA and said wtf, hell no. I still train and try to educate du...a.. but also rescue and rehab dogs that come from shitty owners. As long if you have the right mindset I'm ok.
