for any dental student who might need a lil motivation - my parents are dentists and have their own clinics(my dad earns around 40L/ annum and my mom around 50L) i personally am not going into this field since i am a humanities student but i think y'all need a lil motivation since the internet is so filled with people saying dentists are useless (mind you my parents earn more than any mbbs and even mds or wtv you call it here)
@@rii9941 bhai log bolte hai ki ab saturation nahi hai...bt i found it wrong coz all depends on practice and hardwork. btw...aapke parents mds bhi kiya tha?
@@AP-ty9hq i don't think there won't be much Saturation coz if one do mds after bds & do some fellowships then it will make one stand out of the crowd!
I am Dr Farooq, recently joined your channel (from pakistan) . The condition is somewhat really similar here , you really showed the true picture, loved the way you speak and educated us that this field is about passion
The one aspect that was not mentioned was the tremendous earning potential if you are willing to leave India. It was a tough decision for me but I have no regrets at all. I work for somebody, 8am to 5pm, have a quality of life, no hassles of running a clinic and yet earn between Rs. 50000 and 75000 A DAY. Earning potential to 1.2-1.5 crores a year is very much achievable. On top of that, I use the latest equipments that most dentist dream of in India - Cone Beam CBCT, Intra-oral scanners, microscopes for RCTs. Dentistry is a beautiful career. You virtually are an artist in a patient's mouth. Never give up hope. If you are willing to work hard, there is light at the end of the tunnel.
If after bds we want to go abroad then what are the procedures and what do we need to do there to persue the career ?? Enlighten me... I really want to know about this abroad practice thing.. Helpme out
Sir thankyou so much for these videos.i am a bds 3rd year student and from some time i was feeling really depressed about my career and future but your videos really motivated me.sir it’s a request to keep making these videos.many ug students need these type of videos and a mentor like u.🙏🏻
From 1.8k subscribers last night to 2.7k subscribers today, great going sir!! Thankyou for your positivity towards our stream and thankyou inspiring us!
Really great initiative by you. Dentistry will flourish only its awareness is spread. And its dentist who can spread it. Ham log khud hi bolte dentistry acha nhi to how will patient think of taking dental treatment
For Canada you have to clear NDEB exam that costs around 13-14000 CAD excluding coaching fee the exam is quite arduous moreover YOU will have to take coaching that would cost you around 15k CAD ,lastly that process takes around 1.5 years if you clear all exams in one go...now the bright side you can easily earn 10-14k cad a month of which you have to pay taxes I.e 30-40 percent of your annual income ,so you will be saving around 5-6 k a month
Iam from Bangladesh. & i am a student of Dhaka dental College in Bangladesh. Seriously few second ago before watching your vedio i worried my future to study in bds.now i am motivated after watching this vedio..tnx for ur advice ❤
Even if there is less scope now...but as the population of India is becoming more and more educated the demand for dentists will increase. There is a huge population out there waiting to be treated. You just have to find the right place as to where the demand for dentists are more. If you know your work well you will shine. And keep studying just don't do bds go for mds and more...all the clinics I have seen so far are flooded with patients...so be dedicated
VERY NICELY EXPLAINED. ONLY PROBLEM IS IN MANAGEMENT QUOTA IN A GOOD PRIVATE COLLEGES THE BDS TOTAL EXPENSES IS AROUND 30 LAKHS. THEN SETTING UP THE CLINIC & OVERHEADS. IT'S NOT EASY
Problem is that all of your calculation are based on assumptions. In urban areas like Bangalore, where population density is hundreds time higher than rural area, a dentist is struggling to get few patients per day. How a rural dentist will get sufficient patients???? Peoples from rural area also face very less dentist problems compare to urban area. Because their lifestyle is much healthier than urban. Rural people has another bad attitude , they do not visit a doctor even a dentist, until the disease become to much. Due to this attitude less number of people go to clinics compare to urban area. Only advantage in rural area is real state cost is very very low. So sustain a clinics is much easier than urber.
Used to work in Metropolitan 8+ figure earning but a lot of stress. Now working in small town. 7-8 figure annual earning but peace of mind plus 5 days working 7 hours a day.

Learning is way more important than earnings... in the lure of earning Doctor may skip learning which result in their substandard reputation in future & eventually Costs their career to dear...
The Indian government should invest more in dentistry. Here in UK the population approx 70m yet still shortage of dentists. One general family dentist may look after 2-3 thousand patients per year, thanks mainly to the National Health Service. Population in India 1.3B...there should be a higher need for dentists.
It's been 1 year I'm practing in a remote area where maximum rct is 2500rs and extraction is 500 rs and my rent, electricity bill, water bill maintenance reach 5000-6000 rs per month, I could still get around 15,000 - 20000, and there is only two clinic in the area where I'm practicing. But i dont have an RVG and my set up Was about 4lakh. I really want to include rotary endo in my clinic but since patient can't afford high cost treatment I'm stuck with manual rct. I wish I could do rotatory endo in my clinic
Ur views r quite motivating, but the bitter fact is that villagers or people living in small cities donot have the capacity or willingness to pay money for consultations , except in very rare cases. They can ready to travel several miles for free services n can wait for doctors fir whole day who offered free services yes, there r rich villagers too but in India majority of poor population r living in rural n suburbs.
hello! sir maine aaj pahli bar aapke videos dekhe hai aapne toh mera confidence badha diya main female dentist hoon iska bhi video dekha hai muze wahi same prblm face karna padta hai ki sir nahi hai kya extraction ke liye but now i m doing only rct n other works
Hello dear,it depends from place to place,in city where there is very saturation,it is more struggle,i m practising since 6 years and perform all dental treatments very well, opd increases but not exponentially as fast as you are telling month by month,at present my earnings after deducting all running costs is 15000 to 40,000 per month, earlier for first 5 years it was like I would be able to make out my running costs only, its not with me,but with all the dentists in my city the senerio is same, and running cost of a good setup and quality practice is not 12000,it comes to be around atleast 25000 per month, the growth will be there if you know work but due to saturation,it will be very slow....not exponential,so keep calm and give many years to get into good position. So,friends prepare yourself according to this truth.
Very informative video ...when someone is in totally confusion......you starts from basic things to higher one .....lot of love and thank you so much ❤
Sir ,I would thank u from bottom of ma heart for giving gud inspirational vedio of all ugs like us... I request u to make vedio regarding doing pg in Australia or New Zealand or UK or Canada...?? instead of appearing for exam since it's very diffclt..y cant we directly join to course n start a clinic..?? Plz do make a vedio on thz n put awareness on ..plz draw conclusions at the end on ua poin of you
For me you are wrong at one point. In every profession people start as a fresher and get paid a minimalistic amount. A BDS graduate has the theoritical knowledge and understanding of basic clinical patients. A stipend during internship is also provided. So for me, if you are working for someone, you should be paid whatever is suitable at the beginning and this can be increased later based on your progress. This gives motivation to the freshers as well. Nowadays, many senior dentists are degrading their own proffession by asking freshers to work for free or work as an assistant.
Thank u sir! . I am from bangladesh. U r words and ur videos are so impressissive for junior doctors! . I wish to learn from u more & more! Thanks again sir..
Hello sir i m in 1st year and about to go in 2 nd yr. Sir I'm very much insecure with my future in bds after seeing so much saturation. Sir is there any course after bds in which I can earn handful of money.
There are many BDS who earns more than MDS while there are many MDS who do general dental practice in India....I think I applies to all dental surgeons.... Though bds dentist has the limitations.....But it's up to you how. How you do it.....!!!!!
Aap delhi me rahte ho to Aap delhi ke hisab se rate bata rahe 7 to 8 lakh one year MDS ka,Indore Bhopal ,Jaipur jese choti city me thoda is se km rate he college me fees ka MDS me.
MY SON PASSED OUT AS A 1st RANKER IN THE FINAL YEAR FROM A B SHETTY DENTAL COLLEGE 2015 - 16 BATCH. I'VE READ MOST OF THE COMMENTS. STRUGGLE IS THE REALITY FOR MOST - READ THE DETAILED INFORMATION. FOR LUCKY FEW DUE TO VARIOUS REASONS ARE WELL OFF & EARNING WELL.

Sir, your video is motivated me a lot..... Thank you so much sir.... I'm a 1st year bds student. Sir, can you please make a video on oral and maxillofacial surgery?
Madam first of all complete bds . Then you can think about omfs . Even it isn't that complicated as bds , but you need a bit more time to get flourish than any other streams . Keep this in mind . First start watching the procedure done in surgery . Then try to do a senior internship after bds , expose yourself and start assisting cases . Then try for it . Success will be on your foot steps . All the very best .
Sir, I respect your suggestion. But when I asked about the OMFS I didn't have the intention of building up a career regarding OMFS in future. I just asked out of curiosity. I have just freshly started bds a few months back.I have a fair idea about the other branches of bds excluding OMFS. So, i asked. That's it.
Thanks sir 4 this lovely video....Sir pls tell me a good or the best private dental college in Karnataka or any other state....but a well known reputed college
