@@newagain9964 my father owns a logistics company and earns well into the 7 figures per year territory. He wants me to take over him at some point so yes I would. Thanks for your time by the way.
I got accounting degree and decided to do accounting business instead of going big 4 or working at accounting department of any major companies. I am 37 and make 500k net income now and still fast growing.
ABSOLUTELY NOT TRUE! (At least in LA) got an internship at a big 4 with 37.5 hr+bonus. When you start full time you should be making 80k base + bonuses . At least in LA
Which is equivalent to 50k anywhere else because of taxes and cost of living. If I lived in California, I'd make 20-30% more, but it's not worth it because my net would likely be less overall.
That’s a dream. It doesn’t happen in real life. Employers think that anyone can be an accountant, without education. And for that reason, they pay a misery even when you have a masters degree.
Very grinding. Most people don’t get to VP/Partner positions because they actually want to have a life, and those big paychecks are mainly in investment banking. At big banks where it is highly difficult to break through if you’re not from Ivy League schools.
I am in an accounting and payroll admintrator course and my mom was a level 3 CGA before she switched careers in 2008. Numbers are everything I love them
28 just getting back in school after years stuck in retail jobs. Working on my prerequisites now to hopefully get into the accounting program at FSU. Hopefully, this career serves me well and opens up many opportunities. Any advice where students can start learning accounting before graduating?
We are in the same boat. Starting school at 29 after doing corrections for 10 years. Apparently regular jobs don't like hiring former law enforcement so I am going back to school in order to never return to Leo
Man I'm in the same boat and considering switching my career to accounting, but I'm 26. Does aiming to be a certified accountant from a professional certificate suffice, or should I aim for a degree?
Why do ya'll keep on hyping up these "Big 4". You guys act like every single accounting graduate would ever experience the opportunity to work in one of these companies 🙄
@@may4u310 more like 30-40k USD in 10 years for a talented CA, unless he starts a firm then ofcourse the sky is the limit. India's a rapidly growing countries and I know a CA who has a networth in millions USD due to his firm and another who teaches CA aspirants in private tutoring and earns a lot (100k USD in Mumbai, India)

Hello sir, I am Tanvir from Bangladesh. I completed my BBA (Major in Accounting) having a CGPA-2.81 out of 4.00. Do I have an opportunity to take an MBA degree from the USA? What is the requitement? please reply me sir.
Does this apply to me if I just get a bachelors degree in accounting? Or does this only apply to people with a masters degree and or passing the CPA exam?
You’re going to find a hard time climbing the ladder without your CPA. A lot of the firms around me only hire seniors with their CPA. A master is a plus, but I would prioritize the CPA (you need a bachelor’s to sit for the CPA exam).
@@joseh.perez-garcia2713you also need 150 credit hours so getting a mba or taking other useful classes to meet that requirement is usually the way to go
