I started charging full price the first week I started, and I feel after the first 3 sets I made, they were pretty good. Everyone has a different rhythm, a different pace of learning, and different talents. If you think your work is worth it, charge correspondingly without fear!! PLus, I had always better clients charging high. Everytime I had promotions, I attracted the wrong people for my business.
@@jessicaxx7163 I mean clients who complain a lot, or are just offer-hunting, what makes them stay just as long as you have an offer and you can't make good, long-term relationships with your clients. Just invest in being the best of your area, invest in looking and making your Studio/home studio look trust-worthy, and set a decent price pet hour for yourself, and use that for setting your prices from the beggining. Then maybe you can make an openning offer or something, but your prices stay consistent. That would be my advise 😅 All the best! 😁

I took a whole month to promote lash modeling for $45 and the practice i got was amazing i got different styles, different eyes and lashes! It helped soo much!
What I did, by the way, if it helps any of you. I offer model prices. People love cheap stuff and that way you get to practice. The reason I don't do it for free because my business is already up and running so I can't really not make any money. But when I qualified for classic lashes, I did 6 months of model pricing. Literally just trying to cover the cost for supplies. Same with hybrid and volumes
Love that! Charging just enough for supplies is great too that way you can practice and also keep getting supplies without coming out of pocket! totally fair when you are just starting out ♥
This is a great idea...we something like this with our staff when we were training. We would have new staff get models so for at least 2-3 weeks while we trained them they'd give the lashes away to the models. Then we moved them into a lower paying client until they got fast enough to charge full price. It usually took 2-3 months.
i’ve started my classics at 50$ i’ve started on friends and family! there doesn’t seems like a out of lash techs where i live but i’ve noted their prices are 150-250
I just adore you guys so much. Thank you for the free content! I’m so happy I found your account. Your videos are universal, they’re helping my sister who is learning to do nails!
Going to have to watch this one a few times. I’m having trouble, and have been going back and forth with my prices and I realized I haven’t set up certain policies but Shauna & Mike always knock out each question and doubt in my mind. Love you two!
Good to know!!! I did free lashes for a years also. I took a mega class and still don’t feel comfortable doing them yet. I want them to be perfect. As far as a client of yours. Love your shop. Everyone is so nice and makes you feel so comfortable and you’ve always taking such great care of me. What’s why I’ve drove 3 1/2 hours to you. I try to find excuses to go to Vegas so I can get my lashes done. Your girls are like a family ❤️
I am doing my lash training in December and I am setting my prices at the normal prices in my area but my prices will just be $5 less than people around me. But what I will do is when I start offering the service , is offer "Opening prices" . I will charge "Half my full set prices" for maybe 3 months. And I will post everyday to remind clients that it's for a limited time and prices will change after those 3 months.
I’ve decided to plunge myself into the Lash world recently. I’m licensed cosmo out of CA and, soon on my way to another state. (My dearest friend she needs a lash technician in her salon) I’m so grateful for you both and what you’ve done to build such an amazing company/product education. In the Hair extension field I follow a gal who started her business in her bathroom and today she’s successful beyond measure. She and her husband also do a podcast that just makes their experience easy to relate to. Thank you guys for your willingness to be raw and open about the business of lashes. You both are priceless to me. Thank you
Thank you for that, Mike and I appreciate it♥ Goodluck on your lash journey and especially traveling to a new state, we wish you nothing but success in this industry!
I'm starting my lash Technician journey and so excited I found you guys! You guys are a true inspiration! Just ordered a bunch of products from LivBay! 😍
This is so helpful!!! Thank you guys for all of this info !! I just found you guys and have watched most of your videos and they’re all so helpful 🙌🏼 I had no knowledge of where to start and how to start but this has been so helpful thank you 💕💕
Wow excellent content and really helpful tips you guys provide in every one of your videos for starting out lash artists, and the lash artistry in general! Keep it up, you guys are doing so great love you guys ❤️❤️☺️☺️
We have just changed the way we give out prices when people call because of all of the competitors in the area . Now we give a price range . It Got the first person I tried this on in the door and into my bed 🤣... then I was able to upgrade her to a higher priced set . 😍😍
this video was very helpful for me starting out because I don't want to overcharge since i'm still learning but I don't want my work to be taken advantage of, thank you so much! I wish my lash instructor was this informative when I took her class last july.
Nichelle Hunter I would do your research on different companies and what they offer in their classes. Of course we always recommend our lash course, however if you can’t take ours make sure you take a course longer than a day, and you are getting your money’s worth ❤️❤️
wow! really great information given! in the beginning i had horrible lash retention now i take before and after pics and give my clients a 3 day grace period if the lashes fall out i fix for free but i request they send me pictures before coming in for a fill. now i have adjusted my humidity levels and bought a heater for the colder months i have been more aware of if its a environment issue or a client issue.
Oh, it's possible! 😂😂 You must have never lashed, or it's been a while since you've started lashing and forgot how long it can be for a beginner, cause chiiiiild, it took me two full days to do one eye! 😂😂😂
Shay Williams girl I’ve been lashing for 3 years and have my own shop .. at the start it would take me 3 hours for a full set of classics but now it takes around an hour and 40 ( depending how many lashes ) I’m from the UK so maybe teaching techniques are different :-)
@@jadeturner2794 Oh yeah girl, there are many differences in training in the UK I'm sure! Us 'mericans can be slower than others, I am mos definitely one of them.🖐🏾 😂
