• Where are you from? I live in Edinburgh and I'm half Australian, half British!

If you don't feel like mathing next time, you could also use the stopwatch instead of the timer so you can press the round button whenever you finish a book 😂

This was perfect. I just bought a cheap whisk thing, and haven't been able to figure out the cold whisking lol. Can't wait to try it w the oatly barista milks. And I love the syrups. If you don't have different flavorings, why even drink caffeine😄

when i'm listening to an audiobook i'm usually doing something physically so i can't read along! and if I can read along i would rather just read than listen alongside an audio book as it slows me down haha

I’m a new subscriber and so far I’m loving your videos! . I have 40 pages left of ‘destroy the day’ and I just wanted to let u know that if u want to stop at ‘defend the dawn’ feel free cause the last book is so bad. Like so disappointing that I’m gutted cause I adored ‘defy the night’. Nothing much happens in book 3 and the characters are so whiney, no chemistry, an inappropriate sex scene in a YA book eek, and there is a lack of action or plot for that matter. Books are subjective so by all means give it a go but I’m so torn the final book felt like a filler and rushed

U can read the first one as a stand-alone or continue with the series, I enjoyed it as a whole though! Highly recommend 😊

How did you read a 400 page book in 3 hours? I mean, I know some people read very fast. I usually need 10 hours for 300 pages, but I think I read A man called Ove, 400 pages, in 8 hours. It depends on how easy it is to read. But still, 3 hours for 400 pages is too fast.

@@Tharia1981 I average 100-150 pages an hour. Thats always been my normal reading pace and is very comfortable for me. Everyone reads at completely different speeds, I don’t intentionally try to read fast this is just my normal

@@emmyrosam no no, I know some people do read very fast. Even my cousin reads fast. She read the 5th Harry Potter, the big one, in a day, I think over night. So yes, I know it's possible, I just wish I could do it too.

@@Tharia1981 Why would you want to read so fast? Is fast a better experience when reading? These videos sound like fast consumption for competition purpose. As it's worth consuming food or clothes in a mindful pace, it's also worth reading mindful and let a book linger on one's mind after finishing reading it. This fast reading and counting the amount of books read in a short time is a booktube/booktok trend, and not something the majority of non content creators do.

@@ApricusInaros It's not about the number on goodreads, it's just about my TBR. If I could read faster, I could read more books and I could reread as much as I wanted. But there's no point in talking about it, as I can't read so fast, I still need an entire day to read a 300 or 400 page book 🤷

But I still wonder, as a teacher, who works with ADHD students too..people with ADHD can't read that fast. Because the person loses attention too fast to sit 3-4 hours in a single setting with ADHD and read that fast. I am guessing she skims most of the book.
