Im a bike deliver in Brazil and I love to see how people around the world do the same thing. Also, maybe one day if I travel to live somewhere else I go already knowing what to expect
Amazing video, I do car 🚙 Uber eats, but I want to consider doing bike 🚴 Uber eats, but I don’t have elect bike 🚴 I have a Trek Fx3 and a rear bike rack, but I like your bike bag. Thanks for sharing your journey via RU-vid on Uber Eats by ways of bike trailing.
Im with just eat and I hate it when you can't find where it is and have to ring them lol. The good thing is we get peddle assist ebikes so you don't have to peddle to hard up the hills lol. But I'm gonna get my cbt so I can use there scooters
Self employed Man & Van service advertising free on Facebook and Google business gets you well fitter and pays far more being doing it for the last 12 years.
When I was a shift manager at McDonald's I rode 12 miles a day round trip to get there. At my current job I ride 4 miles a day. I could do this no problem.
Yes, this really sucks! Uber sent me 14 miles away on my bike haha. Deliveroo and Stuart however do show the drop off location :) In America, Uber does show the drop-off location, it should come to the UK in the near future! I hope..
Huge security problem. They'd need to index the houses of everyone on royal mail's registry. That's all Crown copyright act. Not to mention the gdpr implications
It is. As a former HGV driver he was putting himself in great danger going on the inside like he was doing. ATT cyclists do not ever go on the inside as an HGV or Bus or large van is turning left. This is probably the most dangerous manoeuvre you can do and its the NO1 cause of cyclists deaths on the roads each year. Do not expect an HGV to see you - there is around 11 feet of dead space you cannot be seen.
Yeah he was riding a little crazy for my liking. I live in Chicago and usually take the side streets if I can, it's so much safer for bikers than the bike gutter on a busy arterial street
@@bingbong419 me getting blown over by a strong wind cause i tRiEd To KeEP tHE FoOd waRm meanwhile this chad is delivering cold burgers by the pannierful
I’m glad some one else clocked that 😂 I’m surprised they even give him orders I work in Bristol and 8/10 times they in restaurant asking for a thermal bag 😑
Hi there, hope you don't mind me asking - What bike do you use? I'm also wondering if you think it would be sustainable to do this as a "side hustle" ha - thanks
ALWAYS lock up your bike when picking up your order! I'd recommend a chunky chain that is hard to cut, you can wrap this around your saddle when riding :) You can also buy a bike alarm that goes off when someone touches your bike, it works really well!
@@GigHustle completely agree should always lock up your bike when doing delivery I have alarm lock one day someone tried to steal and the alarm went off haha
Yup I've had many hours where I make over 15 $/hour which is good for me because I enjoy it and I've worked shit jobs for 12-13 $/hour. I'm young and I live in a busy area so it works well for me but I've lived in places that don't get busy which makes it harder.
Currently do UE by car for spare change but with gas at $1.80/l in Ontario Im going by bike once the snows gone. Something to do while kids are in school. Looks more fun by bike, I hate driving.
I use a GoPro HERO8 Black. I have an iPhone 11 so it's waterproof. You can just buy a waterproof case for your phone or get a zip-up phone holder that can also store your power bank and a couple other things :)
Drinks spillages are definitely a problem, especially for bike couriers! Hot drinks are the worst, they have a hole in the lid so no matter how carefully you ride it's likely to leak :( However don't let this put you off! Just reject hot drinks and make sure your bag is properly setup for cold drinks :)
@@mrreinark3388 I did, and ate the food, I legit broke down crying bc my life is so hard and that day just made shit worse tbh. I’m in a lot better of a situation now though
To answer the videos question from my experience. On Friday night I made £120 from 5pm - 9:30 pm and tonight (saturday) I made a little over £100 for around 5 hours work. I use Deliveroo and just eat who I think pay a little better than Uber
I need to get me an e-bike,looks like a piece of cake on those..I do ubereats and door dash on a regular bike and I feel like I'm losing out on a few orders here and there cause I have to take a break sometimes.
@@4thjulycali nice!..have you tried putting scotch tape on the lid hole and and extra tape over the lid to keep it in place?..it works for me,here and there the lid tape might come off cause of the moisture but for the most part it works well.I use a food delivery back pack with cupholders..but You can also get you a bike rack and put a milk crate on it and get you a small thermal drink holder from ebay and strap it in good so it doesn't move around inside the milk crate
@@joaquinherrera5851 I’m still experimenting and running into small issues but resolving them little by little, appreciate your advice, I have a little girl I have to take care of with 3 jobs so I need all the help I can get!
As we know McDonald’s drinks are the worst but I just use the back bag using lots of bubble wrap or whatever material available to Secure the drinks. I find things on the back on your bike like having McDonald’s drinks in a pannier bag is a rough ride for the food and drink items because your sitting on the back of the bike frame and it shakes more at the back I find ( well that’s my experience ) but saying that their are plenty of people who say panniers are more Secure and Convenient
@@robhingston I agree with you completely! I try to avoid taking orders from McDonalds. Panniers are definitely not a good idea for transporting drinks, a backpack is much more stable and the drinks don't move around as much!
I would love to do this. But I would gotta move to a state that's warm all year round. Good exercise and you make money. It's a win win man. Good stuff
I'd like to challenge that :D I'll let you off seeing as you posted this comment before I started haha. I'm just messing :) Bike Deliveries is definitely one of the best!
When you leave it at the door and don’t come into contact with the customer, the app asks you to take a photo and confirm that the product has been delivered. At least now it is like this
I work at McDonald’s and what we do when giving drinks to Uber drivers is double lid the drinks to make sure nothing spills out or to at least make it less likely
Having a thermal backpack that is securely fitted to your back is the best way to prevent drinks from spilling! Maybe I'm wrong but I don't think it's a good idea to have your food in panniers that low down on your bike, the drinks will bounce around and leak from the vibrations. As for hot drinks, they are a pain, it's almost impossible to prevent them from leaking because they have a hole in the lid. The only way is for the restaurant to package them properly. Hope this helps :)
@@simpysnake5767 double lidding the soft drinks works well. However just today I found out that Macdonalds have changed their lids and aren't double lidding anymore. The lids are worse than before!
@@GigHustle i think my McDonald’s still has some old stock then because I’m still using the typical lids. Or maybe you live in the US and US McDonald’s have changed their lids, I dont know, but so far I’ve been using the typical lids and we are still double lidding the cups to give Uber eats couriers.
@@simpysnake5767 my mate London Eats, just made a video today showing the new lids. I don't know if this is a new thing or just temporary. I live in the UK bro :) I've started making videos too haha
I remember in the vid you posted about your bike, you mentioned that your BASIL XL pannier is thermally insulated. I ordered the same one, but I don't think mine is thermally insulated. I am a uni student that just started doing UE for some income this summer (and beyond during the academic year). Would you mind linking where you got your BASIL XL pannier from? I'm in Europe (although not in the UK) as well. Thanks! Love your vids!
i would recommend the unbranded TPU bag from the ubereats kit store mate. It's a bit pricey but mines lasted me well for the past 6 months, it's big but not too big and its thermally insulated. (also because it's unbranded you can multi-app with it)
@@iamactuallyover18 hey, thanks for your reply and suggestion! I have no idea what TPU means. However, I strongly prefer *NOT* using a backpack/rucksack of any kind (branded or unbranded) that's why the pannier option is most appealing to me. PS: I avoid large orders (pizzas and the likes) in order not to mess up people's foods.
Hi there! I just started working on Uber eats on my bike, I would really appreciate if you reply to me, I was wondering what kinda bag do you use for deliveries? Does it work if you have to Carrie a lot of drinks?
