I put my ZL1 through a touchless auto car wash one time and I heard one of the panels (probably the roof) flex from the pressure during the blow drying cycle, i thought the car was damaged but luckily I couldn't detect anything, never again.
Just do you man. Whatever you like and whatever you can afford. No one is perfect. I got a 2019 Camaro 2ss performance package 5 mouths ago with 4 miles. My car now has 3400 miles sticker price was $55k but got it down to $47k no down payment. I wanted a zl1 1le but damn. Its to much jusy for a supercharger on it. Lol. Best of luck to you.
I have the '17 ZL1 and from day one there was a problem with power dropping off at 5000rpm to redline. Chevy told me everything was fine when it wasn't. There's a problem with the supercharger being bone dry from the factory. I was told by the svc mgr that as long as I don't tear the motor down, just bolt on wouldn't void the warranty... They sent me to the speed shop and THEY told me about the messed up supercharger, the 1.7 is a piece of crap. It's a frekin lie, from new the power was way off because of an empty intercooler from the factory. There's a service bulletin for this exact problem and I even gave those idiots the svc doc # for this exact problem and the "LT4 guru" didn't know squat about this motor. Don't do ANY mods until you verify your supercharger intercooler is full as the coolant will leak out under pressure which will destroy the bricks. I replaced the POS 1.7 with a whipple 2.9 and a new cai, dynotune custom computer tune and sync the 10 speed auto with the engine computer has pushed it to 835hp at the crank, 705+ at the wheels. It's a monster on the road and I'll be keeping this for a long while. Dyno it after motor break in, stock should be about 530hp at the wheels.
@@RealCarGuyReviews no, I'm just a car guy sharing what happened to me so Chevy don't lie to you. Especially since you're gonna do some stuff to it make sure your supercharger intercooler is full, the SOB svc mgr who told me boltons wouldn't void the warrantee... They refused to fix it, so before you do anything make sure all is well. When the air isn't being cooled before it's forced into the motor you'll lose power, like you're not moving from 120mph it seems to slow down, the computer cuts the power as hot air is not being cooled before forcing it into the engine. I've dropped $13k in upgrades and the car is crazy fast, floor it at 100mph and it will pin you to your seat, it has beat a several C7 ZO6s, Porsche 911gt3, every hellcat (so far) and every mustang that wants to go. I want a C8 also but I'm gonna wait a couple of years for the C8 ZO6 to come out and until they work out the bugs in the new design.

The ZL1 is an *amazing* and beautiful car but I just can't find a single reason to get it over a Corvette (C7 or C8). Take that with a grain of salt though cuz I can only afford my C5 lol
I also bought a Zl1 over a C7, the high center console of the vette was a deal breaker, no leg room, it was so disappointing because my C6 was very comfortable.

don't do, even the touchless ones aren't safe because the dry cycle air blows so hard it made my Zl1 audibly flex, luckily no damage but I wouldn't recommend it for 6 gen camaros.
