I’ve been considering doing this my self. This is inspiring. You absolutely killed it dude. The second I see a boat in a similar shape I’m gonna try it my self. I’m amazed with the amount of boat you had to start with for $600
$2365 is waaaayy better than spending 60k or higher on a brand new one! I think you came out way ahead! That will get you to the fish just like one off the showroom floor!
I loved watching all 3 of your videos on the restoration of the Nitro. I am going to say if you fish a lot and especially if you take others with you then you will definitely will want a bigger boat. I have a 181/2 ft boat and still wish I had another foot or two. I say this mainly for the safety aspect because on the Tennessee river I fish , it can get very sketchy at times. I have always made it back to the boat ramp but I would have felt a lot safer in a bigger boat. I enjoy watching your videos and I did subscribe. I will be watching for more restorations in the future or what ever! Thanks for sharing!
@@Ace.Fisher I feel your pain because I’ve had four boats and none of them fit in any of my garages. I have always kept them covered with boat covers but I realize they are not great. I just love to fish and I gotta do what I gotta do! If you fish a lot then it is well worth that extra length but yes the boat will be exposed more so. Thanks for videos dude’
I really like your energy level as well as your approach to projects. Remarkable talent and skill. You did good in recording with the equipment you have. I did subscribe so look forward to future posts. Best of luck on the new project and tight lines.
Beautiful restoration work! That Nitro looks like it came off the showroom floor! Can’t find any links to the products (specifically those black rims)? Keep up the good work 👍🏻
Thank you! Apparently it’s against RU-vid guidelines to include product links in the description. The wheels came off Amazon, search “boat trailer wheels” they will pop up.
Awesome restoration! I expected it to cost much more than it did. I have a 1996 Skeeter and loving every bit of it. What products did you use for sanding and buffing out the boat and trailer?
Nice work. I once bought an old Ranger bass boat and restored it much like you did. Later sold it and bought a much newer Ranger that didn't need any work at all but I missed the old Ranger and had much more fun restoring & using the old boat. 😅
Ok I’ll make sure to go do some white bass fishing, what part of MO are you in? White bass are easy to catch from the bank this time of the year because they move into the creeks for spawning.
Over-all, that is still a bargain for what you ended up with. If someone had to pay labor, add another 3K+. Even at 4700-5k that is a decent price for the quality and appearance of the final product.
