Cam, hats off to you for being so straightforward. I hope when I get my new place and the shop I want to do something similar to this. I've always wanted to do this, sans the online storefront but working and restoring bikes is always been something I have been passionate about. Still need to get some more items, like a bigger air compressor and sandblasting and an old oven but this definitely helps push to make those goals a reality. I’ve only just stumbled across your channel and this build but I gotta say, your honesty and transparency has been so refreshing! Not only have you stepped up and put out the reality of the process as far as the $$ go, but you also built an awesome bike and did a super great job. I also have to commend you on sticking it out through the whole leukaemia battle. My best mate battled leukaemia in high school for three years and I saw first hand the stress and struggles it put him and his family through. When you finished it I thought to myself that you probably put about 8000 grand into it, so I was close! Man you've got a sweet bike and I bet it feels very satisfying when you ride it to know you did it all yourself!

And the best part cam, is that 9k over time not all at once, part here part there, as long as your patient, you have a bike the way you wanted and probably 10 times better than one off the showroom floor that will cost you the samn or more.
