I can tell you that for the spec you described in the van and the description with mileage, you got a very good deal indeed. With the four new tyres - thats top draw!!
This was very helpful as I’m planning a move soon and selling my current vehicle. Shipping it is just too expensive. So your video really gave me a lot of information. Thank you!
Hi again Ruth. One of the options Terry was looking at doing before he got I'll, was widening the bed across to the worktop. He was planning to make a couple of boxes that fitted into the alley way and then make new cushion for it. When Ernie and Terry went to Benidorm in it, Terry slept in the walkway, in a sleeping bag! Never again, he said! Anyway, really enjoying your blogs and hope to see many more. Cheers, 👍👍
I'm glad to help. If I can think of anymore useless pieces of information about the van, I'll let you know. Just so happy to see Terry's pride and joy being used and loved. Cheers,👍 👍
I bought a panel van 3 years ago for 4k with much higher milage and have spent around 3k to convert it. I cant stand up in it but it has been amazing for our family adventures. The prices for vans suitable for conversion and campervans have sky-rocketed since, so I think you have made a great deal with the price you paid. Also it is 90% done, so by spending another 1-3k with some lithium batteries, 12v electrics and a fridge, it should be pretty complete. Looking forward to the improvements. Subscribed.
I've beem watching several of your latest videos and this is it! I'm doing it! I have lots of time now to travel all over Europe since my wife passed away and a Van like yours will do it for me, I am selling my Renault and will definitely get a Toyota, I had a small one before and never had any problems with it. Thanks for sharing, love your videos and looking forward to many more!
Hello Ruth, nice to see you here. In my opinion,it is a very good deal to have a great journey with this cool red queen☺. Your detailed explanation about your purchase and your attention to every aspect is very impressive. I wish you the best of luck with your new channel.
Hi Ruth I’m playing catch-up as I only found your channel a couple of days ago, your van is ideal and with a few modifications will be great, most of which will have been done as I’m 6 months behind. Enjoying your videos well done. Cheers Mike🍷
Excellent... you're living the dream (my dream!). Would LOVE to be brave enough to take off like that! Happy St Andrew's Day from your Irish followers!
I am thinking of buying a secondhand campervan and this has been really helpful, thank you. Good luck with your travels....looking forward to following your adventures.
I think that’s an amazing price Ruth for your new van. It looks lovely and certainly has all the space one person should need for day to day use. Slightly envious lol 😂! Enjoy it and I’ll look forward to seeing your vlogs about your travels in it! Kindest regards
Lol no idea if it's a good deal or not, all I care about is watching the adventure. :p Just sub'd and started watching your vids, looking forward to exploring from my computer is boring ole Minnesota.
This has been a very helpful video, thank you, I've just subscribed to your channel. May I ask what sort of heating system you have and if you help others with the electrical setup? Happy travels! 🚐
When I got the van there was no heating system. I actually had one installed the other day and there will be a video coming within the next few weeks about it, so stay tuned! I don’t help with electric set up as I don’t have the skills for that!
Ruth has many Japanese fans. That's why a lot of videos are being played, good luck with your trip. Thank you for remembering Japanese funny man Syota. haha
ルースさん元気そうでよかった。安心しました。 是非、日本の都道府県制覇を再開することを楽しみにしています。 ーーーーー I'm glad Ruth is fine. relieved. I am looking forward to resuming the prefectural conquest of Japan.
Cool didnt know uk had toyota hiace I don't think I'm exaggerating when I say they are the best cars in the world the only thing that kills them is rust
As an avid hiace owner .. i think you got a very good deal .. man o man thats some interrogation list you come up with .. wooow 😎..anywhos ernies in good hands ..pip pips n carryon mzz pilgrims 😁
@@ruthaisling Hi Ruth, I think looking at your picture of the batteries, they may be permanently connected together which means there is no split charge facility.
I like your longer videos close to 30 minuter or LONGER! You are an inspiration to all Wkmen! Can’t wait to follow along with all your Scottish adventures ❣️
You made a good purchase 100%. Camper van prices have gone up a lot during the pandemic and someone I work with got more money than he paid when he sold his van recently. The insurance you paid is reasonable too considering it has breakdown cover. I hope you never need it but it’s essential travelling around remote areas of Scotland…..! Looking forward to your next episode 😊
Thank you so much for this video, I've been looking at buying a van for the past few months, but the costs even to buy an empty van have skyrocketed even since the start of the year, even before thinking about conversion costs! So now I'm looking at ones already converted so this video is super helpful to know what to look out for, thank you 😊
Great video Ruth. I have a tourneo that looked great when I bought it with full mot. I sold my Renault which was much older and didn't have power steering. I totally regret it. The tourneo is a complete rust box and the mot was dodgy which I found out a year later. I am going to look for a Toyota like yours now. I am also going to binge watch all your videos. Take care and stay safe. Tom.
Thanks Tom. I’ve been happy with it but have had to replace things like the alternator and some old parts. But hopefully the van will be good for a few more years now!
Hi Ruth, first, I wish you all the best in your travels. Thank you for all the information, very helpful . I was wondering if you make an income from al these videos as everyone seems to be doing them . I'm hoping to buy one either this year or early next year. Good luck, stay safe & happy always 👍
Japanese cars vans are 100% most reliable motors, hands down, Hiace van are very sort after sadly can be harder to find used parts for in the UK as high prices are paid from dealers to export them rather than break them, On the plus side they very rarely go wrong 😊, its brilliant that you seemed to had a good experience with the seller. But would not recommend ,giveing cash before hand to any seller, sadly there are lots of scammers out there, same thing happened to my friend, he lost 1k on a deposit for a car that probably never existed-owed by the scammer, so people beware, would recommend leaving it though pay pay if anyone feels the instant need to secure a purchase, then your cash will be protected-refunded if the worse should happen..great content Ruth and the Van ❤it
I've been watching it since my time in Japan. I think the price was just right. The second battery is safe and highly functional if you build it yourself with a LiFe battery. I'm looking forward to the pictures and report of the van's trip in the UK.
Hello Ruth, this type of car is often used as an ambulance in Japan.I think it's a good purchase because of the high interior height.I'm looking forward to the evolution from here👍
