Incorrect. India is a large country. Culturally in Delhi , people generally speaking will overstate their income. In Bombay they will understate it, generally.

Thank you so much ! Yeah, the cost of living there is much lower, but again, If you will want to have good quality, that would be probably more expensive than other countries. For example, a 10 - 15$ hotel is still very dirty, and for that price, you will get a neat and great place with a swimming pool in Thailand. And for that, you would have to pay much more in India. Street food could be as low as 50 cents, but it gave me food poison. And again. My friend's wife was food poisoned after eating a $12 meal in a fancy restaurant also. So yeah, :P the place doesn't have a balance. Thank you for your comment and support, as always

@@randydergantz It's not an accurate depiction of my country. There s far more to a diverse 1.4 billion people than a down market hotel / area of Delhi.

@@Bhavishiavani In retrospect, I’m sure you could visit various large cities within the USA, and find similar living conditions such as in New Delhi. America does not come to the table with clean hands either. Our thoughts and understanding might differ, yet with constructive conversation, a positive goal can be achieved. I have seen beautiful places in India, and realize the depiction here does not represent the entire country.

@@HomelessPelican We are very friendly people. Learn when you travel. Don't do superficial stupidities. Our culture is very different from yours. There is a deeply embedded belief in rebirth. It means one can be reborn in any nation or other life form , on earth or other galaxies. Therefore, unlike your culture, we take all to be one. So , people tend to be inquisitively friendly, what a Western mind perceives to be an intrusion of privacy.... However, if you think about it, nobody is being bad to you really, just excited to meet a foreigner. And that might start reduce as the country opens up & people start getting some more cross cultural exposure. Vasudev Kutumb - The universe is one family. It is one "super soul." So when we say Namaste in greeting, it means that the soul within me greets the soul within you.... In your culture you go to other people's homes & use their video footage to insult them. No point in travelling with a preconceived mind, because you learn nothing. Just come back with reinforced stereo types. Indians are not buffoons. So please stop that "superior judgemental chip on the shoulder" attitude.

No not really, if you want to live in a slum area or labourer area and eat street food then you can. But to live in a okay or nice area in 1 bedroom apartment would cost you 300 to 800 euros a month rent depending on the area in mega city. And eating out in European standard restaurants will cost you almost same prices like London, Paris. 4 star, 5 star Hotel cost 100 to 500 euros a night. You can live cheaply in a village in mountains and eating out would be cheaper too. But you can't live in a city on pennies, it will cost you same or more like living in spain etc
