Many people look much worst like, take me for example, when I get on youtube I'll rarely show my face. If I could give an honest rate to myself it would be 7. I find that to be relatively generous especially considering the fact that its myself I'm talking about. I also would like to commend you on the way you handled the situation very mature and calm. Well for me according to RU-vid once I reach $100 I get paid. So if I can get around 200,000-300,000 views I get about $100 and get paid. So depending on how fast one can get views that equal at least $100 is how fast they get paid. I believe it's on a monthly base. So if you've made a $100 or more you get paid once a month.

It's only passive income for your preceding videos, which clearly will go down in view rate as they become less relevant. You still have to actively make new videos as a RU-vidr to make steady income.

Yeah, we do get money off of old videos, as well. But say, you had a video which made 10 million views 2 years ago, and you DIDN'T monetize it when the video had reached that many views, and you only monetized it, say today. And the average number of views per day on that video is about 2500, then you'd be making 0.13$ off of that video per day, and the ten million views made before the monetization would not be counted. But you also have factors of Ad Block users, as well as phone users, which reduce it to a quarter of that.
