@@beeda69 delivery drivers do not work for pepsi, they work either for the bottlers or wholesalers. some also work for a contractor trucking company but the point is that pepsi only makes the concentrate and everything else you see with the pepsi logo on it is an independent bottling company or independent wholesaler similar to a franchise but on a reigional scale. that’s why he says it depends what company you work for.
@@jakeramos7399 bullshlt, it dosent depend on your route lol. If that were the case, I'd be getting paid more for going up the mountains every week in the snow
Dont forget these guys drive semi trucks to deliver in smallest/busiest gas stations around town. Their driving skill is way better than semi truck drivers on the freeway.
I delivered to a beer distribution center in Sylmar, CA. These type of workers eventually end up with Hip or back problems from all the hand unloading and stacking of cases. The forklift driver in Sylmar (he looked to be in his 50s) was talking to his regulars about how he got back from his hip replacement surgery. Just keep that in mind you can't do this work 20 years without wearing your body out. Coca Cola San Diego is UNION, not sure Pepsi on Caballero street up in Buena Park (the trucks have Splash-inc on the decals).
This job is definitely not for kids straight out of high school. You have to be 21 to get a class A CDL and I definitely would not trust an 18 year old with a tractor trailer.
@@o.t.n_ofthenightproduction1952 you have to hand stack off the truck onto a dolly and stack back onto into the store. sometimes in basements, parked far etc...
Physical work, done it… found less physical work now and happier now. It’s a lot of lifting with a one man team. Done both trucks, with the 16 side doors truck and with trailers in diff states.
@@gailnext only have to hand stack if it’s don’t the old way of side bay truck. They have these slim pallets and sleds that push them into stores so you only have to touch the product once in most stops. The pallets roll right into gas station coolers.
@@musicjen3733 nah that’s not always the case. A lot of stores didn’t want you bringing in pallets because of “scratching the floor”. When I delivered beer we’d have to downstack 3-4 pallets of beer & then use the dolly to take them into the store.
Please start asking about benefits too! Some companies cover full benefits and that makes the lower hourly worth it! ALSO a big one for truckers is whether or not they have driver facing cameras! This is hugely important to those who already drive when it comes to making a company move!!!!! PLEASE!
@@ericmanso7355 do you feel like you have experienced any form of PTSD or anxiety from your job as an EMT? I’ve wanted to be one for a while but I feel that it would take a heavy toll on my mind seeing all of the trauma
@@707josh No, I never experience any of that. If you want to do it, go for it. also in life, don't get scared jump in and do stuff. You never know if you're good at something What's up personally emt job sucks ass is no pay. Plus I was in college too So it was just a paycheck Also, I do wanna get in the health field I will study medicine I want to be a physician, so my mindset was kind of different. While I was working
@@ericmanso7355 ah okay, yeah I worked as a behavioral tech in a rehab for about a year and that was a great introduction into the healthcare field. They were urgently hiring EMT’s around my area w pretty good starting pay so yk what I think I will give this a try. Thanks for your comment
This is labor intensive job. Average day you will deliver 750 cases ranging from 20 to 50 lbs per case. Unload from the truck, push and stack on shelves or coolers. Deal with all kind of human garbage, there are some nice ones. And the pay is 45 cents per case for upto 12 hours of work day. It's a shity job trust me
Yo I really appreciate you going and getting the basic info about these jobs. A lot of these are jobs that I’ve considered in the back of my head but I never knew what to look up to be able to apply to them
Pay is different in different places ,some are union some are not , Burnsville,Minnesota is union starts at 27.90 and pays commission on cases sold ,while Savannah Georgia pays 24.90 no commission and isn’t a union branch ..i interviewed at both ended up choosing cold 🥶 Minnesota where drivers average minimum 80k
Cap 🧢 they start you off like at $25 😂 & they over work you! I work at the LB ports & I get paid by the load & on a good I make around $430 & it’s only drop & hook 🥹 on a bad day I’ll make around $340. I basically work 10 hours & I don’t do no labor work like them
@@wolfgangtritone1280 if you work for a company yes you do but if you work an owner operator you don’t. But when you work for an owner operator the pay is way more! My brother in law just got his class A & twic card & they started him off at $31 with no experience after the 3 month probation he will hit $33 top pay is $40 for them…
@@wolfgangtritone1280 I will become an OP starting 2023 so if I hustle it I could be making $6k-7k per week but I will only pay myself around $1,600 & pay my diesel. The rest of the money I’ll save for maintenance & to save up to buy more trucks. You could also buy your own health insurance so you stay covered
That's true i was applying for those jobs it was like 23 lowest i saw here in LA. I too work at LB ports hourly tho pay is like 26 on my 6th month driving
@@sandman4897 if you got your class A you should aim for a job that at least pays $30 & the reason for that is cause trucking school is so expensive right now. 2 years ago I paid $1,400 to get my license 🪪 right now trucking schools are charging $6k or $7k
Hey Authur it depends on where you live I said I don't believe because up here they don't start that high ASSHOLE and anyone putting 100% into what someone says on the internet with out doing there homework is a problem!
Pepsi used to start you off at bottom of the scale then go up steps every 6 months until you top out. Now they hire you in at top pay and that's it. At least in the non union locations
Discussing your pay, even in the workplace, is a federally protected activity in the US. Meaning you cannot be disciplined for it by your employer or your employer faces a massive fine and possibly a lawsuit by yourself. NLRA
I hate it when ppl are so scared or shy to be transparent about their pay. The pay in my opinion helps future inquiries make a more decisive career move.
Get into fuel hauling. It’s the same shit hours and the same stops- but easier work and never less than $30hr unless you hire onto some fly by night mom & pop company.
@@MarioMartinez-vh4dv In my area Loves is probably the best place to start. They operate their trucks under a company called Gemini Transports. Frontier is another good company- they haul for Flying J and Pilot. Also try UPT/United Petroleum Transports. I’m not sure if they haul nationally or just regionally in the Midwest but they mostly haul for Walmart/Murphy USA. I believe all 3 will train you as long as you already have a class A with tanker and hazmat endorsements when you apply
@@MarioMartinez-vh4dv I personally started at a mom and pop in 2015. They paid 19/hr with minimal benefits but it was basically 8am-5pm m-f plus some Saturdays but with great flexibility. I got out of CDL school and they threw me into a tanker by myself with zero experience. It was scary but you either learn fast or get blown up lol. I worked for them for two years then made friends with an owner operator at the fuel terminal who was leased to a large company. He bought a second truck and hired me to drive for him for a 33% cut of what the truck made but no benefits. He worked the crap out of me but I never made less than $120k/yr. I took that money and invested it in oil wells with a partner in 2020 when things were cheap…now I work about 30hrs/wk and will be set up to retire before I’m 40
We aren't paid enough, pepsi drivers do way more work than coke or 7up. Pepsi has so many more products. We do 13-16 stops a day. We work 12hrs plus a day. Jr drivers are forced in on their days off. Limited vacations are available in the summer. Can't get days off for Dr's appointments. Supervisors always asking why it takes you so long, dispatcher doesn't know he's doing. Pepsi celebrates office workers. No parties for the hardest working department.
Friend drives for pepsi. In NY they get 100 dollars per day automatically. Then they get paid by the case..small format stores like 711s and gas stations they get 21c per case. Large format like a Walmart they get 12c per case. But they drop like 5-7 pallets of goods.
Worked at Pepsi doing this for two years i got In with no experience with my class A license. I was commission and made about 60k a year I think they make around 68k now days. It’s pros and cons but overall it’s a okay job i worked about 43 hours a week. After I got the experience, I left to get into food service and nearly doubled my pay but worked 12-15 more hours a week on average
@@danieltaylor211 Sysco used a system called dip pay they start off training pay at like $24 an hour, even after training you will never make less than that. Dip is based off of how many cases, stops, miles driven, time waiting on customer if they’re not there, and also time given for your daily route. If you out perform all factors quicker than the time given you usually get paid a higher hourly rate. For example base pay was $24 an hour, advance guys made about around $30-31, the vets drivers made about $32-33. You have to try to find a sweet spot to where you making higher hourly pay but still working some OT hours, it’s pros and cons. I averaged about $30-31 and worked about 55-60 hours and made around $1950 - 2150. There is guys who milk the clock and made around $1950-2k a week but worked the maximum 68-70 hours (which takes up way too much of the day imo) Then it was the vet guys that made around $33/hour, $15-1800 a week working 45-50 hours a week ( it takes years and seniority to get to this level they usually get pallet jacks and easy delivery spots and much less stops) some of those guys will finish their route and go help others and they so they can make more but it’s rare, and then it was guys like me that usually performed in the middle. I feel like it was a sweet spot, i worked 55-60 hours a week and I knew how to make over 2k a week doing so. Every route, state, city is set up differently though. Hope this helps
When someone says “I don’t think I can tell you that” that means in their head they know they are under paid and are embarrassed to say the real amount. Poor guy, definitely only making like 26/hour max.
hard labor don’t do it !!! your a truck driver , your stocking, rotating, bringing product back out the store to much hard work a truck driver should not have to work that hard plus your working like 8-10 a stores a day a over worked tired trucker is dangerous
There's some goods and cons like all companies. Don't need experience but helps. Just say the right things at the interview and your in. In LA area you start at $30 an hour plus overtime lots of ot if you like that. It's work until route is finished. Con is they pay your Chinese overtime meaning the more ot you make the less you make. Good is 100% paid medical day one! Another good you can start at the bottom like merchandiser and work your way up to getting your cdl to drive trucks and be on the road or go up in management. Great company! But the pay hasn't increased to the cost of living standards yet. Few years it would of been worth it but not now in my opinion. I'm use to making more but if your been working minimum wage job this is definitely a step up step for you !
“I can’t tell you that” as if it’s not right there on google unless your top secret government agent you can legally tell anyone you want to what you get paid
He works for the Aliso branch. We’re not union and his pay is either 31.75 or 32.75; not 100% sure as I'm not a Driver. Also, everyone gets a flat rate, so it doesn’t matter if you’re a new or old employee. Anyone can apply you don't need experience just your CDL and you can also start as a merchandiser/sales rep and Pepsi will pay for the training/classes.
Naw, I work for Pepsi as a delivery driver and only made about 1100 a week Worked 6 days a week. It was too much work got little pay. I recommend working for Dominos as a CDL A driver
I’m 19 and I work in automotive manufacturing I absolutely love my job most people I work with is around my age they make me laugh everyday we get to talk it’s such a chill job with so many benefits they have a huge gym 2 cafeterias with really good food and a whole clinic with nurses they actually diagnosed me with the flu and prescribed me medicine at a local pharmacy it’s called Denso Manufacturing they invented the QR code as well
They dont pay well. Thats why he is not telling. Its a starting job into cdl. I got my license at Pepsi and once I gave them a year of my time I left the same day. The better you do the more they give you.
They get paid well for being pepsi drivers just for the county I work for pepsi..drivers make from 37-40 a hour with weekends off what else do you want
No they don't wtf you talking about making bs lies lol I work for pepsi never had a covid-19 shot and if 36-40$ a hour to deliver not leaving the state and weekends off is not good then idk wtf is good for your ass
Some people have been intimated by HR to not disclose your wage with others. It's not even a fireable offense and even can be brought to goverment workforce if you can prove that you were fired because of. Which if it was caught on video like this then that'd be a good case.
There’s a very famous boxe Coach He has 4 kids He used to Be a Trucker Driver for Pepsi just the get the benefits for his kids And the at 4 o’clock he would be a coach
Most of our drivers are hourly now like what he’s doing is Geo but at my plant in Daytona, we’re still running commission based, but he was not wrong for not saying how much were getting paid Pepsi likes their security
Some people don't like sales, Men have more muscle than women for a reason. I believe that's why men lack testosterone today because the lack of doing anything hard.
Pepsi coca cola pay horrible I had my cdl 15 years an will never work for them start u at 24 pr hr an u never reach 30 more like 28 after 10 years u must deliver 1000 Pepsi cases a day back breaking must break down skid listen it's a rookie job just skip it for life if u love your back it's the worst pay ever not sure how they brain wash people stay lol that's exactly why they pay for your school because the rookies is the only people who will do it an u will have to pay them back for then school for up to 5 years out ya check good luck
If you had a job offer hauling cryogenic tanker driver or Pepsi with pepsi making a dollar more a hour which would you take to take your career in the best direction?? I think pepsi has better benefits also but don’t think I would want to stay there for ever.
Telling ay isn’t that deep if your embarrassed get a better job I was never scared to say cuz that’s what I make that’s my job I always strived for more and got more confident the more I made but I’ll tell a mfer real quick 10 14 15.50 17 18.50 21.50 25 28 grind and maybe you wouldn’t be embarrassed
Maaaan I will NEVER work for Pepsi, coke, or any other beverage distributor again! I worked for a company called “Hensley Beverage” in Az. Basically they were the beer distributor for Budweiser & Bud Light. FUCK that job 😂 not only did we do beer & every single IPA you could think of. We also did non alcoholic beverages. Energy drinks, water, juice, MILK! Schedule was Tuesday-Friday 4 (10s) but you always did way more than 10hrs. Not only do you downstack 2-3 pallets of product @ each store, you have to wheel it all in by hand & then check it in with whoever is working at the store. If the store is busy then you have to wait until they find time to get to you. Plus you were SALARY instead of hourly. Then after you get it checked in you have to go & rotate the previous product & stock shelves.. worked you WAY more than what they tried paying you. I did however get my CDL A through them & then stayed for the year to pay back what they needed. After that year was up I was GONE. I’ve never seen a higher turn over rate in drivers 😂 & don’t even get me started on grocery receivers who always thought they were CEO of frys & Safeway 😂🖕🏽
