me and cousin are gonna have our quince together and or salon is funna cost $700 but $350 deposit and her side of my family is paying for half and so is my family so we might have a really cheap quince going both ways
None Of Your Business, me too! It looks like there’s barely hope for me having a quince, my 15th birthday is in 8 months And we r a little tight on money
My Salon is 7,500$ but it came with everything from the food, drinks, to the decorations, & security and waitresses & waiters & we have my fiesta for 200 people, my dress was 600$ & you're right is it like wow my parents are spending so much but it's a memory and means so much
my parents were debating a few months ago on I shouldn't probably have one bc (and my dad said this) "it isn't for you its for the people" I was so mad and I said its my party, my 15, all about me (I sounded so selfish) but I'm gonna have one so its all good:)
Almost everyone the comments are sad because they have a low budget meanwhile my dad thinks quinceaneras are a waste of money and I most likely won't be getting one :(
Monse Guallpa I'm not getting one 😭 and I'm 14 and in 10 months I'm turning 15 but not having a party cuz my mom is a single mom and she didn't give my sisters a party either cuz they didn't want one but I do and I didn't ask her for one but someone asked if I'm having a party and she said no😭
Annie Lover ouuu shoutout to our single moms! I didn't want a quincenera but my mom wants me to have one Bc I'm the youngest and the only girl out of my 2 brothers but she has a bf now and they're trying to convince me but IT PAINS ME MORE THAN THEN BC OF THE MONEY OOF
I want one so bad!! But I would never make my parents ho through all that money. :( But I know it's the best for everone. And plus I don't want to make my parents get extra time in their jobs, or more jobs just to be able to afford a quince. And even how much it would hurt me, it would not be the first time I didn't celebrate my birthday.
I'm about to turn 14 and I'm soooo excited to have my quince but I'm worried about prices, but I know I have makeup, hair, dress and photography free (god bless). But the salons here are probably quite expensive I think. Thanks for the quince videos I'll make sure to have these tips for my quince next year💖
If it's formal, in Mexico the whole party costs about $100,000 pesos. I've been to more expensive parties though. Also I've realized quinceañera parties in the US are different than in some parts of Mexico (I've lived in both countries) and I personally think quinceañera parties in the US look more mexican than some in Mexico... Mine is in less than a month although I'm not 100% mexican. I mean no offense to anyone by anything I said.
a DJ is not that cheap. some can get quite expensive. like for my quince my DJ was 6,000 but of course it was a really good DJ but they can vary between 2 or 3 thousand
When I was calculating everything I tried to cut everything I could to make myself believe it might happen, but when I got my 2.5k result my mom and my sister laughed in my face, I’ve lost all my hope in having a quince :(
you need to chill the tf down. Youre 11 & you have 3-4 years till your quince, no need to be overly excited, i mean its good to be planning early but right now its wayyyyyy early
my 15 is actually kinda a good deal bcuz my salon was 2900 and thats was just for the place, chairs, and tables. But i found a lady that does all the decor, food, cake, etc. like everything that you need for a quinceanera (except for the dress and shoes and stuff like that) and my dress was actually really cheap bcuz i got it on a sale retail was 550 and i got it for 260 and i love it it looks like cinderella but it fuchsia and my photographer was 1500 with a pre photo shoot and a book another book with 300 pics and some more stuff. and my sister aunt and uncle are gonna pay for my limo soo there i go. so at the end my parents are paying about 13-15 thousands for my party im soo excited it on july 16 2016 ahhhhh
My parents never told me a budget 🤷🏻♀️ My dress was about 1400 and that’s all I really know. We’re not rich at all but they have been saving money for quite a while and I literally have padrinos for EVERYTHING 💀
I go to boarding school and my quince is 2 and a half months from when school ends. So I have been cramming everything in, I'm worried that things might not get done. Your videos are really helpful and are giving me hope. Thank you!
just ask them for one but if your 14 they would probably say yes only if they xan afore it but if they cant just ask them for a smallish party and use diy or something for it dosent cost much
If you have to ask they many not be able to afford it. My sisters and I are Catholic and non of us had one. It sucks but it is expensive. Unless your parents and you dont mind having padrenos for EVERYTHING.
Haide Jimenez yes if you want to I want to have padrinos so we could like stay good on my budget and not like being so stressful because you don't have that money, and my uncle has the same bday as me and he said he wanted to be a padrino and in like ok you can be el padrino del salón because that salon is soo pretty it has like these stairs that have like led lights, hearts on the ceiling and all that pretty stuff. If you want to check it out it's palazzio event center Alamo,tx
For my family my parents pay for the salon and my paderino pays for church paderina dress grandmother crown and like tias necklace, braclet etc so really my family really helps and like everyone cheaps in for food like for carterin and my mom does my hair and make up so like my family help alot so like everyone pays in so really almost every year for at least 5 months all the adults work work work like 7-9 am to pm
I live in Los Angeles so this might be totally different than yours. My entire Quinceañera was between $4,000-$5,000 and the price was more than what we expected and I did have something big for my celebration. Love you and your videos :D
All I know is that if that's all the costs for my quince's, I'm not having a birthday party for my 13th and 14th birthday because my mom and dad are going to reunite their income tax for 2018 and 2019. Since my quince is gonna be on 2019. But if it does get celebrated , all I know is I'm not getting my birthdays celebrated till I'm like 19. Lmaoooo
I'm 15 but I didn't have a quince cause of reasons, but I'm having a 16 party in September and your videos are helping me out so much. I love your channel 😍😙❤ thank u for making your channel so unique and amazing! Your channel has helped me a lot!👍👏😙❤💖
Honestly I watched all you quince videos you post and yes your videos are so helpful my quince in on June 13th and I'm so nervous I have no one to help me but your videos are helping so much thank you
Also, what if it’s small bc we dont have a crap ton of money that my parents just pooped out? Is it bad that i counted all the people i would invite and it would be about 52 people maximum??????????
Love your videos me and my twin would like to have a 15!! thanks for the help could you please help our channel grow please and thank you ☺️ we would appreciate it
It's really easy for me watch all your quince videos because im having a tiffany & co quinceneara and the overall color scheme is Tiffany blue and silver !
My quinceñera is going to be on 10-20-2018 I’m really exited but I just started planning my quince 1 month ago and I have 7 months till my quince but my parents budget was 10-12 k and that’s a lot of money my decorator cost 4,500 my venue cost 1,100 my dj cost 300 I still have to get a dress and figure out the limo and the food and the bar and all of that but the 2 most important things are done ✅
I have to admit, I am totally fascinated by the 'quince' idea but I'm just horrified by the cost at the same time. I am obviously not Hispanic and had no idea these parties even existed. Could you please educate me on the PURPOSE of these events? I am assuming the girl's parents pay for them? Is this an upper-class tradition, or do families of all social classes throw quinces? I don't see how this is any different than a wedding... and in fact may be even MORE expensive based on this video and what is necessary. Do families go into serious debt paying for these parties? Is it OK to tell your daughter 'no', or is that considered bad for your families' reputation ? Can you limit guests to a much smaller number or have this event at your home? Are these bills paid off by the time the teen gets married and the family has to pay this same cost all over again? If a family has many girls, what happens then? With all due respect to your culture, is it worth it? I just can't believe how much this costs, to make a 15 year old girl queen for a day, and it is just crazy to me that a family would willingly and happily fork out tens of thousands of dollars that could be used to pay for the child's college education. Again, I mean no disrespect to the Hispanic culture and your traditions--- I am just completely baffled by the expense and 'm hoping you can educate me on the history and purpose of the event.
It's a right of passage like a bar or bat mitzvah. It is important to families because it symbolizes a little girl growing into a young woman. It can range from 1k to 80k so it's all different classes. Even some lower class people have it, parents will even go as far as to sacrifice being/living with their kids just to make enough money for the party. It's very important in Mexican culture and it's pretty important in other cultures too. I know that, maybe years earlier like in the 90s or early 2000s or earlier, it was like a giant dishonor to a family not to have a quinceanera. Like people would shame the family for it. Now it's probably different though. It's like a sweet 16, these things are very expensive. And yeah it kind of is like a wedding without the groom 😂 there's damas (basically bridesmaids) and pajes (flower girls)
Thanks for the information. I guess all cultures have their own long-standing traditions and every tradition should be respected. I'm gonna rant here, but IMHO, I think the "sweet 16" parties weren't all that common until MTV or VH1 or whatever channel it was started that show, and doesn't it seem that now, so many more kids seems to EXPECT that their parents throw them a huge party when they turn 16? I decided that I would attend the kids' high school graduation parties instead and I would give the kids a nice check to be used towards college. Seems like we (and TV, and other indulgent and / or wealthy parents) have helped our kids feel like they are ENTITLED to everything anymore, that it is our DUTY as parents to provide them everything that the kid next door has... and you know what? It ISN'T. I don't feel like I'm setting a very good example for my kid when he's watching me go into debt and more serious debt to pay for a party that I can't afford, just because he WANTS one and just HAS TO HAVE ONE because all his friends had one. Aint gonna happen. He'll thank me later, when he graduates from college and doesn't have a mountain of student loans to pay off. THAT'S how we help our kids get a good independent life going. Just my long-winded opinion. :)
I have a question did u have ur dream quinceanera and i love ur videos this will help me my quinceanera thank u so much i wonder if u can follow me on instagram but this will help
