Wow man, Im from NY and damn it! I didnt know about this policy things and now im calling all those insurance like crazy and the cheaper one is progressive. They want 3200 down and $1800 montly im dying. Dont know what to do. Ill call state farm again tmrw. State farm spoke with my contractor and they said that they dont do this kind of coverege. I was quoted by progressive for a 15 ford transit 350 with the million coverage and 100000 for cargo was a little over 5000 a year. Wont go with them tho. Will say I'd look at a companies response time and track record for if u get in a wreck, will they actually cover u and are they dragging it out to get u fixed?

I’m looking to stay local. I have a cargo van transit. I used multiple apps to get loads. It’s slow sometimes but it Doesn’t require any type of insurance. As long you have regular insurance you good.

@@JoelHernandez-ym8kq I have full coverage insurance. You don’t have to have 1M/100k insurance you don’t really need a Mc number or dot. Unless you trying to cross state lines. Most company’s you sign up with as a 1099 contractor you will be covered by there mc or dot/ect

I have been getting crazy quote from some of these agents, and some of them said state farm doesn't offer commercial insurance. You need to chat with a CPA. Remember that S-Corp is just a tax status, you're business will be an LLC still. Short answer is it depends on how much you make, but a general rule is if you're going to make more than 50K a year... an S Corp can be more beneficial because it will save you on self-employment taxes

Which company was it that the creator got commercial insurance for $200 a month? Courier Insurance is the same as say a electrician or plumber driving a cargo van I've heard. It falls under same category.

Yea I’m sure it would cuz the down payment is just usually first and last months premium. But you’d still essentially be paying the same premium per year so I’d imagine the monthly would just be a bit higher than if you paid the entire down payment

It's pretty rare, at least in my area. What you can do is call your insurance company that you have with your personal car insurance and explain that you need "commercial auto insurance." They'll either set you up or refer you to another company. But in the end, what you're looking for is "commercial auto."
