Yes we are there now! Love it! And yes the price is worth it. We stayed in the 200 loop. Close to waterfront. Can watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks from there. Also the Electrical Water Parade.

Another great video! Thanks! I stayed there with my family in a pop unit camper back in the late 70's (in the summer...with no AC!). I was very young and remember that my older brothers got to run loose in the parks later, and I got stuck back in the camper with Mom & Dad. It was a special place.

This is cool. We are going soon, I think In April. Can’t wait! We just found homes for 7 puppies from a rescued husky, Millie. We did not sleep for 10 weeks. Taking care of puppies is a big job. But we did it, and all have amazing new families. So as a reward we will be going to fort wilderness. We are bringing two of our huskies. So I’m thinking as a reward for them they can go to Disney doggie day care. They deserve it! They worked hard taking care of the puppies too.

I just want to drop a little note of thanks for all the work and bloopers you put into your videos. It's very refreshing to see "normal, everyday people" sharing their lives and experiences. I love your channel and have been binge watching since I found you. You really have me excited about plans for full-time RVing. Can't wait to get out there and finally meet up with you and the gang somewhere. It shouldn't be long now before I am able to pull up roots and mosey on down the road. I'm stir crazy just waiting for my day to travel. I also follow many of the other Full-timers and its a real community that I see out there and I can't wait to join it.

I heard people talk about the RV community while doing our research before hitting the road. I have to tell you it is so much better than I could have imagined. The RV community is so giving, friendly and welcoming. I just cant say enough about the people we have met. You are going to love it!

We love The Fort! It’s definitely worth the $$ for all the added amenities in my opinion. It also provides a nice quiet atmosphere when taking a break from the parks. We are always surprised by how serene it is even being at Disney and all the kiddos running around. The best and most affordable buffet at Disney is the Trail’s End brunch on the weekends!

Yes, my family stayed at Ft. Wilderness 11 years ago and my wife and I have been looking forward to going back. I would add that even with the relatively high price the value is very worth the cost. We recently stayed at a RV park on the Arizona/California border that charged $70/night. That Arizona park was dirty and noisy. Ft. Wilderness was very clean 11 years ago and looks to be the same now, after all the park must maintain the Disney standards.

I am too, it has more than paid for itself through the years. We even got married on our points on a Cruise and we took the whole family and extended family with us - siblings, their spouses, nieces, nephews...all came with us. We had a ball and it was all inclusive. All we paid for was alcohol, excursions and wedding-related expenses like flowers.

Been going to Fort Wilderness for about 40 yrs.always for Christmas best time of the year. Watched as it grew and grew and grew in size everywhere and all the changes. Just ❤️❤️❤️ .

We are locals/passholders and have stayed twice-a tent in September and an RV in January-and love it! We think it’s worth it. I don’t remember the loops but we loved just exploring the campground.

Last time we camped there we had to reserve 11 months in advance for a site during the summer. There are some folks that claim they just show up an get a site, but I think that's mostly mythical.

Depends on when you want to go. Around a holiday or specific dates you want, exactly 365 days out, no less. If you don’t mind moving spots every couple days and specific dates aren’t priority, you can get away with 3 months out, but 6 months is better. I’ve even called and seen what they had available for the current month or week, been surprised a handful of times with 3 or 4 nights available due to last minute cancellations. All this also depends on if you’re just wanting to stay and do things at the campground or go and do other things around Disney World (parks, restaurants, golf, spas, etc.). If you end up doing the Disney meal plan or want a specific dinning experience anywhere at Disney World, make reservations exactly 180 days out, they fill up fast. If you plan on visiting the parks and want to take advantage of fast passes, get them exactly 60 days out, 30 days if you’re not staying at a Disney resort. My parents took my siblings and I every-other year to Disney World growing up, I now do the same with my own family, if you’d like anymore info about WDW let me know.

We booked 3 days before we arrived. What usually happens is those who booked a year out cancel and last-minute folks like us grab them.

We booked 3 days before we arrived! You can get cancellations. We book like that all the time including state and national parks. But we are lucky enough to be flexible.

I'd make it two loads, $6 to wash, and air dry!! Especially if you got a day with a nice breeze. I'd have some rope I could tie on two trees and hang up laundry across it. That way I'd cut back on cost but get all the laundry done.

YES!! I have been to Fort Wilderness a couple times....most recently May 2019....stayed in the 1100 loop....LOVED IT. (Already planning our next trip down) Fort Wilderness is most definitely worth the price....it is one of the nicest campgrounds you’ll ever find. Hoop Dee Doo Revue is AWESOME....Most definitely a must do dinner show (especially if staying in the campground)

Considering the cost of even a value resort at the world, the Fort is really a great value considering it includes your transportation to the parks, free entertainment with Chip and Dale campfire and evening movie, and other amemities. The sites are clean and mostly larger than other resorts. We have been several times for a week at a time. While some argue that the Fort is too expensive, it is a resort with several great activities that are free or do have a fee. This is a Disney resort so if you are looking for a quiet campground with no theming then this is not for you. Based on experience at other Disney resorts I have found the Fort to be a little bit of paradise in the middle of chaos. That one quote is how normally describe the Fort to those asking my opinion.

I TOTALLY agree with you. Some of my biggest memories of being at Disney is watching how MISERABLE the parents of really little kids like your granddaughter is. At that age, they can't take the heat, the waiting in lines, etc , they tire out and need a nap. Then they start crying and make everyone else around them miserable as well. I won't take mine until they can ride everything cause who wants to miss a ride because little Amanda isn't tall enough to get on. Can't wait to go back with the older ones. Had a trip planned for this year but it too got cancelled.

1100 loop is our favorite! Love Fort Wilderness try and camp there 3 times per year. Favorite time is December when all the decorations are up.

I live in Ohio near Cedar Point. For about 200 dollars I get a season pass and a meal pass. They feed me every 4 hours. I don't cook the entire summer. Go to park everyday to people watch and eat.

Yes, we went when I was 18 and so much fun. As teenagers, we loved just taking the boat and monorail around hanging out. And we loved going for the fire and movie. And we were old enough to run the golf cart all over, so much fun. We were also there when we were younger than that, was so much fun!

During Halloween everyone decorates their sites and there is a golf cart parade! Also you decorate at Christmas too! There are some rules, but a blast to drive around and see. Also a romantic carriage ride available in the evening.

Yes. Two times a year. I have a class b van that fits in a tent site. Electric and water but no sewer hookup. I usually stay in loop 1500.

My family has camped in Fort Wilderness, campsite, cabin and RV for many years. It is such a wonderful experience for kids and our group included many. The facilities are next to none, the entertainment can’t be beat, and the recreational opportunities are tremendous. Worth the cost, for sure.

Yes, my husband & I have been there & we loved it. Aug.of 2019. The trip was expensive. It cost us about 3 thousand dollars. Our camp site was in the 1100 loop. Near a nice walk way for our dogs. We loved it & plan to go again. 👍😀

Yes. Great memories as a child staying in the motorhome with my family, aunt and uncle. We saved money all year long and kept it in the freezer for the vacation. It taught us to plan, budget and learn the priceless benefit of a vacation. Families cannot afford to leave off an annual vacation.

Yes, we stayed there in our Class C about 15 years ago when our kids were in their early teens. Our family had a great experience at FWC and loved it. Now that we're empty-nesters and in a Class B we're hoping to go back again soon. Great video, Phil and Stacey!

Yes, the first time in a pop-up for 11 days and 4 other occasions in a travel trailer. Always at least 10 days. In our opinion it’s the best way to visit WDW. Great atmosphere to unwind in after a day in the parks.
