How much does it cost to own a lovebird? If you are planning to buy a Lovebird soon but don't know how much money to save then this video is for you! Lovebird are cute little bird that belong to the parrot family, they have big personalities and are truly fearless little creatures. They can be feisty at times but can make amazing companions for individuals and families alike. I will be talking about topics like where you can buy your lovebird, what kind of cage is suitable for them, how much is their vet visit, how much is their bird food, fresh foods like chop, toys, perches, foot toys, bowls, swings, and much more.

I owned budgies which I know are bit more affordable than lovebirds and this is what I spent on them Individual bird: $7 each so $21 Travel cage: $10 1 Lb bag of seeds (for sprouting) : $2 it’ll last me a month Natural wooden perches: free because I have bird safe trees near me Toy supplies: free because I had them already Spray Millet (bag of 7 sprays at Walmart):$2.83 it’ll last me about 3 weeks Cage: $25 Walmart seed mix 2 lbs: $1.96 it’ll last me a month Cuttlebone: $1.33 Toys : $10 for about 3 of them Toy supplies (2 months later): $3.50 Dollar store 1 lb bag of seeds: $1.29-$1.39, I used to buy from 2-3 bags and it’ll last me a month Fresh food: $10.00 per month Spray Millet (bag of 12 sprays):$3.44 it’ll last me a month I used to also sprout it I used to feed them mainly fresh foods and seeds as an evening snack

Seed is around £3,00 for a month,then veg and fruit is free as I have it any way in fridge for the family.waters free,only a cuttle fish needed for around £1.50 every other month as mine hardly touch it.

Well i don't have a bird anymore but mine was definetly well taken care of because it was hand tamed and was kept out of his cage for most of the day and was fed fresh fruits and veggies and his seeds and pelets were also taken care of oh and his treats i spoild him with them but i did not overfeed him his water was clean he had enogh toys and he loved tearing apart paper and my shirts and he had good perches i got a play gym for him but he was scared of it for like a year so i just stored it in my garage i did not need a bird bath because he liked the sink he was scared of his swing so i took it out of the cage any i cleand his cage very often his name was kiwi

Hello Im Jana. I love your You Tube videos and watch them all the time. But I really need your help please. I have a almost 1 year old peach faced lovebird named Yoda. He is a male and I hand raised him but I feel he wants to have a friend lovebird. So if it is a good idee I need to raise the new lovebird first so that it could also be hand tamed. Would that be a good idee? And what gender would be best to keep with him? I am just scared I would do something wrong. Can you maybe help me? Have a nice day😁

Thank you!! (: I would suggest another male as a friend. You can buy an already weaned and friendly bird for yourself and Yoda! But keep in mind there is a chance they may not get along and you would need to house them separately.

I bought a male and female untamed,both were already together, after a month both walking all over me and landing on shoulder,still dont like hands.id but a female and keep it separate in another cage but close to each other and slowly let them meet.teo birds are better than one.

Also my tree doesn’t have any oranges since it’s inside so it just has the tree and leaves. Also thank you because your videos are helpful since I’m getting my lovebird shipped to me next month
