Irish person from Dublin here The Florida flight prices are high because it is one of the major parts of America for tourists from Ireland and UK to visit. Florida package holidays are heavily marketed and promoted and are the one and done big blow out family holiday for UK and Irish families. As there is so much demand on the Florida to Ireland routes, the price increases. You talked about AirBnB , word of warning, many places, like Dublin many Airbnb places are illegal or not following local Government rules for short term lets. There is a big push back in Dublin against Airbnbs, many property owners are evicting their long term tenants and putting the properties on Airbnb which is illegal. You mention Uber, Uber is actually not the same as in other countries. They are just regular taxis who use the Uber App, as Ireland has heavily regulated taxi industry. Free Now is the Taxi app to use not Uber. Paddywagon Tours are another option for the tours For food options, we have a range of various supermarkets. Dunnes Stores is the main Irish supermarket retailer. They have multiple types of stores depending on location and size but most will always have a food section. They would be average priced foods. Tesco is a UK supermarket, the main competitor to Dunnes Stores. Again location and size they will have a food section. Their prices are a bit more expensive than Dunnes Stores but they will have some UK food brands and types which are not sold in Dunnes Stores. Aldi and Lydl are the discount cheaper food stores. The food is the same quality but they have different brands, alot of central European brands and they are alot cheaper than both Dunnes Stores and Tesco. Spar and Centra are the convenience store chains, they are far smaller shops and have limited food options and they can be more expensive. Marks and Spensers also known as M&S is a UK grocery chain. They mainly have their own brand food items and UK brands and are the high end grocery store. The burger you got was way too expensive, many of the bars and pubs are gastro pubs which means they have gourmet high end burgers etc. Much better to go to Supermacs or Abrakebabra which are Irish fast food chains. Burger King, McDonalds and KFC are in Ireland too and worth going to, as the menus and food are different to America due to EU food regulations. Tip for going to restaurants and bars, if you can hear American accents from the people there, its not a place Irish people will go to and the prices will be higher and you are not getting an authentic experience.
Thank you so much, im glad you liked the video! Ive already used all my footage from my trip to ireland in the couple videos ive posted, but im hoping to travel to a new country soon to start making more videos again, unfortunately its just super expensive to fly across the world so i cant do it super often haha stay posted though! New stuff will hopefully be coming soon! 🍻🍻🍻
Thank you for the information!! I’m interested in traveling to Ireland in the near future, and you answered many of my questions. If it’s not inconvenient, how many travel days were included in your $3,000 tally? I did not hear that mentioned specifically. If I just missed it, please forgive me and disregard 🙏🏻
Hey! So sorry for the super late reply, but im glad you liked the video and thought it was helpful! So my entire trip consisted of slightly over 3 weeks. I actually planned to stay for another week and visit england, but i ran out of money 😂 i was traveling around ireland for 2 weeks, then 1 week in scotland (very similar prices, the $3k was my total for both combined)
