HOW much does MODULAR PILOT/ FLIGHT TRAINING actually COST?!
I discuss how much I paid for my modular flight training and share some cost-saving advice.
All my modular training was completed in the UK.
Private Pilot License: 0:50
I was lucky enough to get my private pilot licence (PPL) for free via a scholarship (Honorable Company of Air Pilots).
Hour building: 1:08
I did my hour building with ANT mostly in a Piper Cherokee via an hour building package.

ATPL Distance Learning Theory: 2:12
I did my EASA ATPL Ground School via Distance learning with CATS aviation

IMC RATING / Instrument rating restricted (IR(R)): 2:50
There is a cost-saving opportunity via the CB-IR or if you can complete your basic instrument flight module (BIFM)
Multi-Engine Instrument Rating (MEIR): 3:03
I did my Multi-Engine Instrument Rating (ME-IR) via the competency-based instrument rating (CBIR) route. It was in a DA-42, but as per the video, there is a cost-saving opportunity if you find a school with a Dutchess etc.
Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL): 5:30
I did my part-time EASA Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) with Westair in a single-engine piston aircraft. This saved a lot of cash compared to doing my CPL in a twin.
