Yeah you are 💯!!!! airbnb for a couple days … did airbnb in cartagena for a week, arrived saturday afternoon to new building under construction next door blocking the view… thus the pucs were OLD and on monday morning the construction crew arrived… whatsapped the owner and opened a case w airbnb for lack of disclosure with video of the “view” and noise…
This has happened to me in Colombia more than any other country lol For some reason they think it's fine to Airbnb an apartment when there's still guys in the lobby drilling and the walls aren't even sheeted 😅😅😅
@@AKJoel in the owners’ defense, there isnt one… ladrones!!! too bad i cant put the airbnb photo then next to it the current situation… bc reality really really sucked
Yes - I just got a Wise card for my trip to Asia. I haven't used it yet, but I believe it gives you 2 free ATM transactions per month. However, if you're a US citizen, the best card to have is the Charles Schwab Debit Card - this reimburses ALL your ATM fees automatically at the end of every month.
@@AKJoel Thanks for your reply! I am a Dutch Citizen travelling to El poblado. Which bank would you recommend and how is the best way to get cop at the airport for the taxi or do they accept dollars ?
@@AKJoel yeh, it’s a known travel hack especially for airlines because a lot of them can tell where your IP address is coming from so they charge you more. I used that a lot when I went to Asia last year and Europe this year. When I went to Medellin last year, I didn’t use it because I was with a travel group and they organized everything.
@@gregorp1163 Some years ago I used VPNs to Argentina which made this one online game 1/3 the cost. I guessed it was because the inflation was so high they did not update their exchange rate tables frequently enough ;-)
Hey Roman, that's actually not true. You can buy the property using money from any source as along as you can verify the source. If it's a foreign loan, you just have to get the money into the country (legally).
There is no crazy epidemic of tourist deaths. Just way too many statistics-challenged videos/"news" organizations sensationalizing something that is different and catchier than whatever alternative content the video producers could have come up with. These content producers are very good at fooling people who lack even a basic understanding of statistics or research, which is the majority of people.
AirBnB is SO expensive. El Poblado and Laureles are for tourists (who have more money and drive up the cost of everything there) If you want real Medellin/Colombia, nice places and not unsafe, no tourists being annoying or driving up the prices to everything, La America is better. I pay a bit over 400 per month furnished, modern, grea views of Medellin from the living room, and both bedrooms, security guard, parking in La America.
