I been doing exposer myself concerning Africa and its TRUTH 2017 on Facebook GoBlack is doing it all way round YES opening up the minds of those who has NEVER thought about the Mother land we were NEVER taught about . just HEARD of the word africa
Looking at the apartments i bet folks in America watching saying OH they apartments looks like america How BOUT america apartments looks like Africa design Yes america copied Africa as usual stealing our ideas and plans.
@@paulettemorris2808 really? Like what? Like tribal fighting, ethnicities. Look and pay attention to what the agent was saying, have you noticed that he was boasting about turkey imported materials in the apartment. Listen Ethiopian is a very very poor country and the majority of the people don't even have a bread to eat. All you see is built by money borrowed from China and aid during the previous regime. They did that on purpose
These are well built apartments in Addis. It’s good to note that they’ve installed double glaze doors and windows which is very good to repel cold weather in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Luckily for me a Kenyan, I have escaped the $10,000,000 charge by marrying a local.
Thanks for your dedication to Mama Africa I truly appreciate everything you do my brother, may Jah guide, protect and Bless you for all of your days! One Love always 💯💪🏽🙏😇
The apartment is currently being sold from $320,000-360,000. The sales person said the company sold it for 7 million birr one and a half years ago. The exchange rate then was 1 usd = 28 birr not 41 like it is today.
@@bman4267 It was sold $250,000 by the real estate company 2 years ago. It is now being sold higher than that by the people who bought it. I know for a fact 1 unit was sold for around 360,000 a month ago.
It's not worth the money not like as it used to be 30yrs ago strictly residential and embassies only. Bole used to be green & quite , the last place left now is old airport.
I hate to say this but engineers in Ethiopia play with the land so badly...its a life long investment for the country and the people yet some of them seems to be very tight so small. Even the master bedroom is not spacious at all as what a master bedroom should be. 😔
Thank you for sharing. They are using English name to most of the new buildings. It is a shame my Grandmother who was born and raised, doesn't know the area anymore I don't know why, they don't change name. It is so confusing for the elder.
That was the price paid a while ago when the birr was much stronger to the USD. It could also have been that the owner got involved early on before completion and snagged a better deal for taking on the risk of buying off plan. This could easily go for 250,000+ usd in the current market IMO..
True. I follow it. Don’t understand the price raise though with all the problems going on. ‘My’ Ayat apt. is now much more then the $110.000,- i paid 3 years ago.
There is still a big elephant 🐘 in that room: • China 🇨🇳 is building the infrastructure in Addis Ababa ETA 🇪🇹 • The materials in the apartment are being outsourced from the EU and Middle East We still have so much to do to progress... Don’t lose your identity by emulating the Western “culture.” I love my Habesha people though 💚💛❤️
before u even think about buying a apartment in that building you need to make sure how strong that building structure is wich mean go over the plans before you even purchase would love to live in Ethiopia only problem is security anything can happen in that country and nothing wouldn't come out of it that's the problem in Ethiopia stability and security in Germany I can find a whole house for that price of the apartment I think I would rather spend the money in Gambia and why would I leave a city to move to a city 🤔
Looks like a pseudo-European apartment. This is a shame as Ethiopian traditional furniture is truly beautiful and sadly the work and artistry of her skilled tailors who have been making handwoven upholstery and clothes for decades is barely seen in these new builds. Paradoxically the times dictate foreign-made/imported furnishings with much of the building undertaken by foreign project management often with spurious health and safety assurances. And whilst the cost of these shiny properties may well be a hurdle for the average foreigner, many are being rented out to them as the gap between rich and poor widens dramatically....And yes, I lived and worked in Addis for some time.
This is beautiful! I wonder how much it cost if I stay for 1 months. He gave you a nice tour but you are a little intimidating to him especially on camera. Some of the questions you are asking him should not be asked on camera
Nice apartment . But room for the staff to sleep is ridiculously small . And the balcony off bedroom is not a verandah . Verandah usually wrap around a house or are of large proportion generally . Would not deal with this agent . Extreme lackadaisical , sluggish . Not knowing his work .
Dude you trying to tell me this apartment is $134,000 come on man OK. Wow is all I can say I know the standards would be a little bit lower but for more money?
We need to creat middle class ethiopians not foreigners buying up properties so that locals will be under class it's government protection , we can perfectly live with that ,thank you
Hmm but this development happened in the last few-recent years and its ONLY in the city .. while 95% of ethiopia n ethiopians dont hv this lifestyle :)
@Henok Abayneh you may not like the truth but that is the truth. Look around you how many food aid agencies and NGO are found. Go to supermarket and see 90% of the foods are imported. I hate junta and fought them before I left Ethiopian, congrats you are now left with one enemy, poverty.
@@rediettadesse2828 shut up. You try to correct him like you are proud of poverty. We understood what he wrote in the context he wrote it in..Respect yourself!
My beautiful country 💚💛❤️ I came to the USA at a very young age and I am a foreign to my own country. Thank you for showing the Africa they don’t want to show on TV. If I ever go back I would like to live in the village not the the city for sure. Miss mama Ethiopia
Wow I really appreciate your comment brother. 🇪🇹Nice seeing positive stuff coming from our dear neighbour and most defiantly we will rise together! 🙌🏾🙌🏾
One of your guys is following, but unfortunately, he learns the bad tactics how to stay in power, President formago, he is prolong his power, learning from pm abyi, but, Somalians are not a sheep 🐑 like Abyi’s followers and he came out the next day and said he is going to do election, bravo 👏 Somalians, good luck 👍🍀 to over throw pm Abyi friend,
@@ethiopiaandenet896 If They are chooses the cheaper materials, what does this have to do with Turkey?Do you think there are only poor quality goods in Turkey? If you thinks like that, you're absolutely wrong.
Ethiopia is EXPENSIVE. The only good deals are pastries and coffee! Also, the climate is really nice, but wanting to live a Western lifestyle is cheaper else where. Addis Abba has a lot of potential, but it is not there yet and they do need cheap, reliable power now.
Although this comment is a year old, here it goes: What???? Stop telling false messages. Last time I went home, it was 60-Birr to 1-USD. One thing Ferengi doesn't know, you can't buy real estate if you are not Ethiopian-born. You may rent/lease, but not own land.
Lol 😂 10,000,000 usd for investment in Ethiopia it’s more expensive than France,Austria,USA combined together. I can invest in the Caribbean for 100,000 usd and get their citizenship and travel to 150+ countries visa free. This must be a joke. it’s unrealistic why? 10 million you won’t even get a citizenship and the bureaucracy is another story. That’s the result of unplanned decisions made by government due to this the country can’t attract investors from around the world. My advice is that if the government reduced the prices it can attract more investors especially the real estate ones and the ownership policy should be changed to more simpler one because Ethiopia is a country with very huge potential !!!
I kind of felt the same way. The broker appears to take pride in the fact that much of the material amenities are imported from Turkey or Germany, instead of being supplied by Ethiopia herself, as if those other nations are superior. They are not!
Put this apartment here in Los Angeles, CA and it would cost way over $1Million. So, $170k is looking pretty good being in the downtown city for anyone that does not want a yard to maintain.
@@bbalderston125 u should be shame u compared ghana and Ethiopia.... Ethiopia give freedom entirely to Africa and human being birth place also the weather so perfect it’s not like whole world so hot including Ghana but not Ethiopia u know this ....... Bible said Ethiopia shall soon stretch out her hands unto God ..chapter Paslam 68 verse 31
Most cities with high number of expatriates have expensive apartments: New York, Addis Ababa, Dubai, Geneva, Luanda are all not cheap. Great vlog, GB2A never disappoints his viewers. Thanks bro.
You keep believe in that bullshit!! Everything belongs to the man this world wasn't created by no woman all seed comes from the man not a woman!! @@chukwumaolisehemekaouwarre3236
Addis is like Nairobi. Given Nairobi is a bit more modern but Addis is much much safer although it is slowly changing. Hive Addis a few years and it should eclipse Nairobi
Bole isn't the only place you can find great locations. Jemmo and the Western part of Addis can provide similar housing without the rush of feeling like you're in Addis...granted the nightlife isn't as bustling, but the view is much better (in my opinion). Great video, definitely something to bring forward to others!
I have no criticism of the apartment, but I do wish that he could have said that all those beautiful building materials came from other African countries instead of European ones such as Turkey and Germany. Let's start producing and buying African. If you are going to buy outside, buy from other black businesses. That's what successful groups of people do.
@@benmecuriaw7018 Not only Jamaica, I’ve meet several people from Trinidad in shashemene. Ppl from all over the world that follow Rastafarian religion but majority being from Caribbean
Ethiopia is Kenya's Neighbor to the North.. Regarding ease of Relocation as a migrant... Kenya has Less Govt Red tape.. 1)-U can buy property up front.. 2)- Similar property in Kenya Coastal Area or in Nbi would cost 30% less on Account of market vibrancy and ease of Sea Ports for imported material construction materials. 3) U don't have to marry anyone to own Property Kenya...it's 4) Regarding the 10 million USD, requirement in Ethiopia... currently in Kenya it's 5m USD, but that's only required for migrants desirous of Permanent Residency Visa transitioning to Citizenship. 5) Last month Kenya was rated Best investments Destination by Jetro/Japan org... against African peer giants like SA, Nigeria, Ghana, Tanzania etc. 5)- Kenya is a Capitalist economy and Ethiopia is Socialist ...in Kenya u can repatriate ur profits.... Not so in many countries.
@@williamkamau1167 ..and I believe most Kenyans speak English. I agree as Ethiopian, Kenya is a better..or at least more comfortable option for foreigners

looks like a decent place and cost seems a little pricey for that area in AA. so... a foreigner must have us$10Mil invested in ethiopia, huh? marry an ethiopian girl will cost $5Mil, then she may leave.... at least that condo won't walk away. so you choose.
Lol you clearly never seen what kind of places the ladies come from . That closet size room and that nice clean bathroom is a dream for most people in Addis Ababa let alone a poor woman from the village . Trust me, she will be very grateful. As long as the people she work with treat her with respect, she will think she is in mansion in that room
Most people don’t get it why Ethiopia doesn’t allow foreigners to buy properties. In poor countries with weak economy and money to allow the rich countries (individuals) to take advantage of the strong currency is not in the countries best interest . Let they invest on manufacture industries where the locals can profit . If they buy apartment and houses to rent , then the locals will not able to pay the price . Kenya is the best example how the locals are deprived from the economy and the foreigners control the country’s economy and as result of this the politics of the country is on the hand of few individuals.let the people of the country get access on the economy first as it is in Germany , Japan , France Sweden or any other developed countries.
Is the lion 🦁 picture on the wall is also from Turkey or Germany? He says this is from Turkey and Germany proudly what a disgrace! What happened to using our own local products? This is not The Ethiopia I grew up in.
Thank you for sharing But, Please do video on Ethiopian alphabet and literature. The greatest lie against Africa was that no writings existed before colonialism. Ethiopian literature is The oldest is the world and still used in Ethiopia today. በምታቀርበው: እይታ: አመሰግናለሁ:: ተባረክ 🙏🙏🙏
I don't agree with you. Right now in Ethiopia especially in Addis abeba 80% of youth and population doesn't have a job or a basic living necessity, such as water, toilet, food above all shelter. You advise buying a place while the country is in termoil. Who are you kidding yourself like Abiy the narcissistic.
I would love to see stylish African instead of stylish American..English..Italian and or French. Why would I want to live in Africa in another country's stylish house..makes no sense, it's as if you're all promoting where you said you don't want to be or Africa as nothing to offer.
3 Years 2019 i bought, for my Konso son, long story, one 3 bedroom 125 sq meter in Ayat for $110,- Transportation to center is a disaster. Less airpollution. Still miss Gerjie, where i rented before.
