Cracking video guys, very informative and the transparency from two leading Motorhome RU-vidrs is refreshing. Keep up the good work Steve and Darren. 👏
Really loved this vid Steve and hope to see many more of these 'interviews' with all of the RU-vid motorhome and van folk. Hey, maybe you'll get me or my wife when we go full time 😂
Great chat 😂 I have liked, subscribed, commented , rang the 🔔 and now I’m off to look at your back flogs to see if I can get any advice on going to France on the 10 th of next month for the first time across the waters in our Hymer MLI 790 so I guess I will be needing a sticker for that, thank you. I follow your family Chanel and Daz, I will be avidly watching his France trip and when I’m there I will keep my eyes peeled for him x
great video guys 👍my current holiday spending rule is under £500 for at least 7days May-September in the Greek Islands.....always done it, so i do 3 hols a year....granted its not all inclusive (and i stay in apartments not hotels) but thats cos i like to go to different restaurants and bars and make decisions to suit.....dont spend more than another £500 though so you're talking £3k for 3 seperate holidays 💪.......love it!!
Hi Steve really enjoyed your video great chat with Daz really enjoyed watching your video looking forward to seeing more as just subscribe keep safe 😊👍🏻
I do get a bit jaded when you watch some channels go from vlogging for the love of it to vlogging for the revenue, you can sense that you are now a punter with some, I understand the need for many but it can be a fine line for me when viewing. Some strike the right balance but others fail. I quite enjoy this type of vlog/chat warts and all banter :)
It can be tricky for some to get the balance right I guess Mark. Lynds and I have been doing RU-vid as our full time jobs for 2 years now, and fortunately we’ve had the backing of our other business to support us during that time as even though our main channel is over 3 years old now, it’s still far from being in a position to support us both financially and that’s okay as we still love what we do
Great insights into youtube from two great content makers 👌 😊 what is the best free editing program for a beginner youtuber ? What would you recommend?
Airport Parking story, when I lived and worked in Athens, we’ll before 9-11,. We used to park on the circular road to drop off, pick up at the front of the airport .. if there was a space … instead of parking in the paid car park, also in front of the airport. I once flew to Cyprus for business, returning later in the week. No problem. Now it is very different, even in Athens.
Thanks Catherine, I must say it’s a fairly easy video for me to make, although next time I’ll probably use wireless microphones and maybe a couple of camera angles to switch between. And who is going to be next? Probably another RU-vidr…?
Thanks Antony. Not sure on the Sky Go as we don’t have Sky, but isn’t it a 30 day money back guarantee so you can try it and if it doesn’t work get your money back??? Double check that first though.
Unfortunately £12,000 a year just isn’t enough for Lynds and I or Daz and the 2 people he employs, but we’ll keep on plodding along and hopefully make some headway and start earning some better money soon
@@SteveRadford about £25,000 in total for daz is what he earns 😎 plus his ambassador role. You guys would need 100k to cover your costs 🧐 RU-vid is great for lower overheads like Daz 😎
Hey guys great video , good to see you both just chatting sharing some funny stories and useful information. Was just waiting for a bit karaoke at the end 😂
Biggest takeaway is that none of us have time to watch each other's videos. 🤭 It was good to sit still for half an hour and learn something new about my mates. 👊😎
I thought that the chat with Daz went very well and the concept is good. Good to see realistic figures given for RU-vid earnings because many new to, or considering, full-timing might think that you can actually live off it.
Great video guys respect you honesty on the money you receive from You Tube and your products that you cover on your channels ,I must say it dose put me off channels when every other video is a product review that is nothing to do with their channel i have had a negative reply's to some of my comments from Certain Toutuber (no names but have a wee white dog) when I brought it up on how many bikes, power banks Ect do they need to review? Anyway great stories keep them coming.
Y not 😉. No seriously Pam it’s the icon of our business logo Yowzer Limited, and as you quite rightly say, I really should change it maybe an S or SR… watch this space 🤔
I’ve really enjoyed the easy listening conversation. But the speech isn’t very clear on occasions. Not sure if you can do some sound trickery for next time. Looking forward to the next one 😊
Absolutely Jane, this was just a spur of the moment decision and I used just one action camera with the inbuilt mic, so I had to clean up the road noise which reduced the audio some what. I think next time I’ll use our wireless mics and maybe a couple of different camera angles too
Hi Steve, just a thought have you heard of Itchy Boots, a Dutch lady on her 7th season of travelling around the world on a motorcycle, presently in Africa, Senegal, Gambia, but has done most countries. A talented lady
Let's be honest, everyone is interested in how much people earn, especially youtubers. If you do some of these chats with any youtubers not just van lifers, you could be onto something big here Steve
Good chat, I follow various RU-vidrs, and yes they do have product reviews, but if you are following say Getaway Geese, or Life is too short, because they travel, inform, and you feel as if you had met them in a pub you could have a chat. Others I’ve stopped following because all you do get is products, I have watched about 7 or so all contain the Ecoflow air conditioner. Then there was the Bluetti super power bank, or it’s AG greens. Believe it or not when shows come around I don’t tend to watch many, why because it’s same old content. Why is it everyone travelling abroad does a Euro tunnel video? People want to be inspired to visit that village, town, city etc, knowing where to stay, the eating, amenities etc
This is why viewers can no longer believe what Darren claims in his videos. They're more like adverts for motorhome dealers and batteries. Take his claims with a pinch of salt.
As we stated in this video, we only take sponsorship deals and integration with products and brands that we believe in and align with the channel. We also recommend Oaktree motorhomes and Ecotree Lithium as we’ve previously dealt with them so have first hand experience of their knowledge and customer service. It’s not selling out, it’s using our platform to let people know when we find a good product or service that we believe in.
@@SteveRadford you both stated that it's the marketing deals that provide a lot of your income, so you would be crazy to say anything negative about them. You'd be biting the hand that feeds you. This kind of content cannot therefore be trusted as being truthful, honest, or independent from manipulation.
There are plenty of marketing deals on the table, we turn down probably 5 or 6 every day and we only accept the ones we believe in and that align with our channels. We wouldn’t put our names to something we haven’t tried and tested and are always clear if it’s a paid promotion. It’s then your choice if you want the product we are promoting or not.
It certainly does, although I didn’t engage autopilot on this journey but with the beeps it did still warn me when I crossed the white lines without indicating 😀
