I'm going to keep epoxy re-grouting showers for $125 an hour. This looks a lot more fun though. 1st job out of High School was delivering autoparts for $6.72 an hour (2001) and got a raise to $6.90 when minimum wage went up :). Then became a flooring apprentice and the warehouse manager/truck driver. Tile guys would pay me cash to grout their side jobs and I realized no one was re-grouting showers in my area. Hard work though.

227 - 25 for gas is 202. 202/12hrs = $16.8/hour. Not counting food because any job you gotta pay that too. Then the IRS wants their cut at 15% self employed, but with car expense deductions you'll be lucky to pay less in taxes. This is all with no unemployment benefits, no PTO/Sick Days, and no health insurance. That's rough.

i havent worked this type of job but i honestly figure you'll pay no taxes due to the mileage rebate (i could be wrong). no health insurance, well the aca affordable care act aka obamacare will pay that free if you make below like 60k which, at this type of earnings you will. i been told by a dude around here he made 700-1k week on spark at working 5 hrs a day. kinda doubt it though, specially since like all gig workers he whines about oh they hired too many college kids now.

@@cryengine_x Good point about ObamaCare. You'll still pay taxes, no way you're paying no taxes unless you are reporting a loss in your business, meaning your expenses are higher than your revenue. Mileage is just a deduction meaning that it decreases the income amount that you're taxed on. To get the most out of deductions you'll have to itemize your deductions. The 15% is composed of 12% Social Security and 3% Medicare.

Never heard of this but I'm excited to try this. I used to DoorDash. Had to take a break due to my car having issues. Should be fixed by tomorrow, probably get an oil change if it needs it. My mornings I work on my lawn service business and then I would doordash. Instead of DD, I'll try this Walmart Sparks. See how it goes. Thanks for this side hustle.

I still believe that doing shop & delivery orders is the best strategy for cashing out consistently. Think about it...they drop at all times of the day once morning passes becuz of express orders coming in. U don't have to wait for a certain time like u do with curbsides. It's been many times when I was leaving the driveway after dropping off a shop order and they were sending me another one. And its even better when u get a short shop order. Like single digit number of items. I can knock those out super quick cuz I know my store top to bottom. Beats driving to 3 different houses or apartments for scraps Time is key 🔐

No it’s not. It’s $16/hour for 12 hours of work. That’s pretty much minimum wage. $190 is only hit due to working 12 whole hours which is not worth it at all. There was no tax from the $190 either so government takes 15% of that. You’re left with about $170 with all things considered.
