How Much I Spend in a Month. Shopping for Groceries in the UK 🇬🇧 

The only reason I go to the store, and walk around is because that’s the only exercise I get for the entire week 🤣 It makes me feel like an Olympic champion

For years in Nigeria and when I just moved to the uk, I suffered from extreme itchiness during my period and i used always. One day I was watching a yt video when someone talked about being allergic to always and my life changed. I have stayed away from always for years now and no more itchiness. I use body form night now and it’s life changing.

Regina Blitz are a bit expensive, but they are one of the best kitchen towel. For kitchen and bathroom bulk items, it is worth the saving by opening a Costco online account and check whether they deliver in your area.

Nice video. I really enjoyed watching it. We are a family of 4, and we spend between £500 to £600 on groceries every month including African food. It's really a lot if you ask me and im trying to find a way to cut it down.

Suggestion for alternative to always - Aldi pads are really good!

Have you tried the 2 minutes oat? Comes in a box with about 12 sachets in it. You only have to add liquid milk and microwave it for 2 minutes. Comes in different flavours ( Cinnamon, Apple, etc)

I buy chopped onions and sliced kale and life is easy for me

Mine is a family of 4, 10 year old boy and 7 year old girl and I spend about 300 on feeding in a month. I do more of my shopping from Aldi and Lidl cos things are cheaper there. The only things I buy from ASDA are things I can't get from Aldi and Lidl or few things that are cheaper from ASDA. E.g the cut mixed veggies, chips, eggs, semolina etc. I feel ASDA is expensive. Like that chicken you bought is about 1 pound cheaper in Lidl and Aldi.

You can buy frozen diced onions from Iceland store. Or buy fresh sliced onions in the store and freeze for preservation.

Also check for powdered Nido milk in asda (usually cheaper there than the African shops)

I really enjoyed this. Alternative for the always. Try Tesco Free spirit ultra towels with wings. It’s way cheaper and really really good after having kids I noticed my floor is heavy and this seems to work. I used to use always but fragrance on it was too much for me.

I can relate, going to the market and returning to unpack and still cook is tiring. I love market run but I am becoming tired of it.

The night ultra large Bodyform pads are good. It comes in purple packaging.

I do a weekly shop myself cos they substitute too many products with online shopping. Also it is good exercise for me to get my 10,000 plus steps in daily😊

The use of night pads in layers with little opening underneath to allow flow into the winged can protect and last. The winged becomes the base to your undies.

I recommended the golden sella rice. It's healthier ( less starchy) easier to cook and more tasty. Very nice for fried rice and jollof rice!!

It's better to order online than go into the store. When in the store, you'll be more inclined to pick up things you may not need. You don't need to explain yourself to anyone.

Chopped stuff are a lifesaver. Chopped onions does not smell cause it comes frozen, you won’t even notice. Now I don’t like chopping anything.

Nice vlog, Ada. You can try Aldi’s Lunex Sanitary pad size 3. It has wings and is fragrance free. I haven’t gone back to always since i started using it.

Have you considered using a mooncup for period, it’s reusable and easy to clean. It takes a while to get used to inserting and taking it out but once you can do it well, it’s a game changer

About veggies it true!and if you calculate it more cheaper than when you buy this that. I am keenly following n last time I did some adjustments and I want to start to order. My problem is that I don't go out at all so it's during shopping I must go out but as you said the STRESS!!!

I use bodyform pads (the night one). that's the only pad I like, and it's not scented. I would recommend it since you are looking to try a different pad.

I use a Salt menstrual cup and I can never go back to pads. It does take getting used to but when you do, you’ll be happy you did.

Try buying bulk from Costco. Things like water, chopped tomorrow, tissue, eggs etc are really cheap there

Use adult pampers is good for heavy flow

I started using menstrual cups and have forgotten totally about pads

Walking around to shop is a part of exercise and we need it in this western world to be healthy. Even my doctor prescribed that to me at least 1hr walk every day.

L. Pads are organic and 100% cotton. There regular and maxi extra long overnight pads are way better than always in my opinion.

Always is the best brand as far as I know. Try a bit of powder before wearing. It will help cover the texture and smell.

Adaeze, nice vlog. Do you all carry U by Kotex or any by Kotex brand? We do in the US. I swear by this brand. I have an allergy to latex from Always so I have used Kotex for years. Kotex has various sizes and I believe there are 4-5 flows. I have extra heavy flow and I don't like wings. They have both. The pads are long. They even have extra heavy overnight flow. It's cotton and has no latex at all. Most gyns are recommending these sanitary napkins instead of latex I understand from several of my friends. I made the switch many years ago due to issues with latex napkins (pads). Try sweet potatoes fries they taste great and healthy as well. There are even sweet potatoes chips, waffle fries and regular fries. Kombucha is very good for the stomach. Have you tried kefir? Great as well. They both have live cultures and very good for digestive system. The little ladies are growing up so nicely. Kora is a your twin. Sophia favors your sister to me and Ava looks like herself.
