This video reviews how much a workers' comp case might be worth. If you are an injured worker with a California injury, and don’t have an attorney, this video is intended to help provide an overview of workers’ compensation topics so you can better represent yourself.
When a worker is injured on the job, an early question is often - How much is my case worth? Spoiler alert - it's almost impossible to tell at the early stages. Until you've seen doctors, maybe specialists, maybe tried some treatment/medications/injections/surgeries, it's just tough to speculate. Plus, there is value to the case for things such as medical care which the insurance company will pay to the doctor instead of directly to you. Or, you could settle early on and get paid for anticipated future medical care. That's a check in your pocket, but the expectation is that you'll be paying it to doctors later. There's a lot that goes in to the value of a case.

No attorney/client relationship is created or implied by this video. This video is not offering legal advice as to what you should, or should not, do in your workers’ compensation case, but rather offers education/information as to the California workers’ compensation system for unrepresented workers so they can better represent themselves and make more informed decisions.
