First time I watched a TFL video and felt cheated. Some how you missed the point of the video tiltle. What did the dealers offer for the Cybertruck? Maybe the dealers didn't even want it - Sadly we will never know.

I was of the belief that a CT Foundation Series with 3000 miles is worth $79,000 wholesale . Based on a legitimate real offer from a large national Dealership.

I own a couple of gas Chevy Silverado and it really is the best of the best when it come to truck so there no doubt in my mind that Chevy will do the same thing in there EV ! Toyota is my second favorite when it come to truck . I really thought the cybertruck was going to come out cheaper than the Chevy Silverado that was the only reason that any of us was excited about the cybertruck for but can’t believed the ridiculous price over 100k ?!

Ford, GM. Mercedes and others have used similar no resale in the first year. In the 1990s, Ferrari avoided the resale issue by offering its limited-edition F50 as a lease only. Nearly $250,000 down and two years monthly lease payments of $5,600. The cars technically belonged to Ferrari until a final payment of $150,000 at the end of the two years.

Personally I would choose the Silverado EV all day long over the cyber truck, wish you bought that instead. I get teslas thinking behind their punishment on selling in the 1st year, but it’s still just plain wrong. Another big reason I will never buy a Tesla.

I've been a complex civil litigation paralegal since 1994. I cannot think of contract terms that are less enforceable than a $50k charge for selling a used vehicle, or a life-time ban on purchasing new products because you bought a used product at some point. You cannot restrain a customer from using, converting, modifying, selling, destroying, etc. their personal property. If Tesla gives you the title to the vehicle after you've paid for it, Telsa no longer gets to tell you what you can and cannot do with it. Their contract is meaningless and unenforceable.

There is zero chance you have ever even worked in the law industry if you actually believe what you just said. Resale clauses are industry standard for low production volume vehicles that are in very high demand. They are absolutely enforceable. They can't prevent someone from selling, but they can, will, and do force the owner to pay for violating the contract. Most importantly, they do what they are intended to do--deter scalpers--extremely well.
