Hi from England ELVIS died 2 days before my 12th birthday. I have been a FAN ever since. My late parents (my mother having died in June 2019) had a small collection of vinyl albums. It was mainly albums that my mother had collected from the late 50's to include Frank Sinatra and Shirley Bassey. Over the last 5 years i have added to it, the likes of Ella, Ray Conniff, Mel Torme and lots of other Artists. I visit my local charity shops and Antique shops often but i very rarely find any ELVIS albums. I went on a holiday last September to the South Coast of England and visited a shop which had hundreds of albums in stock. i have now 9 albums including the ELVIS BACK IN NASHVILLE released last November and i love it. I have another 3 vinyl coming from ETSY sellers from America but THE ELVIS FTD vinyl original are on EBAY UK IN THEIR £ HUNDREDS OMG Anyway i suppose as i am lucky enough to be able to afford if i was THAT KEEN

@@markselvisforeveryonechann1153 Although I worked for an American Hydraulic Engineering Company based in Lincolnshire North if Chicago that opened an office and factory in England and I worked there from 1996 to 2016 I never was offered the chance to go and visit But as I am now retired I have booked my spot on a Strictly Elvis Tour from April 19th to 5th May 2023 half the time in Memphis and Tupelo and the other half fly to Hawaii I am so looking forward to it and it’s keeping me SANE from all this bonkers COVID19 madness and all these lockdown illegal parties that is gridlocking England Getting on with life and sorting out our NHS ⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️❤️❤️❤️🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧😀😀😀👍 👍 👌🏻👌🏻😢😢

Imo the FTD VINYL Prices are totally crazy...what's up?! If i have to choose to purchase between an Original SUN 45rpm or one of the "overpriced rare FTD Vinyls"...the SUN overshines 😏
If my memory serves me right, there was an FTD warehouse that burnt down overseas and I believe that may be why prices have went nuts. I want to say it was in Denmark. I saw that info when I was googling FTD before I knew what it was. Thanks again for the info. 🏖
Unfortunately it's supply and demand, so there's no "too high" price.. as long as people are paying the high price that is asked, they will only just increase. That's how it works, these vinyl albums are not printed in huge numbers, so there's a little supply and high demand.
I have the FTD cd set of STANDING ROOM ONLY. I just have 6 FTD releases and STANDING ROOM ONLY is my favorite. Now for me my only complaint with the FTD releases are their prices, I have paid around $30 per cd and that's not including shipping. I only buy their cds they want way too much for their ALBUMS. But that's just me, I think if someone what's to pay x amount for a record or cd go for it. It all depends on who bad a person what's it. In the end of things it all about the joy of collecting, and having fun! Really enjoy your videos, have a great weekend.
Thanks so much for your kind words and appreciate your support! And I agree with you 100%. My complaint from the beginning when the FTDs came out, that they were definitely overpriced. The vinyl releases are stunning but there are still 4 prior releases I need but unless I stumble on an amazing deal, I’ll likely never get them. The Jungle Room Sessions LP Set sold last week on eBay for nearly $960- that’s just insane!

Hi Mark, l have seen two of your videos now. I would like to thank you for keeping Elvis legacy alive. I get most of my Elvis FTD from Chris, he is The Elvis Shop London. I have most of the FTD vinyl. I’m missing four, Standing Room Only is one of them. You we’re lucky to find that a reasonable price. I have just ordered Elvis Back In Memphis from Chris. I've got the first half a dozen cds from 1999 onwards of ftd but never really bothered me to collect all the time,but I can see why people do want to. I'm sure your collection is amazing. Luv the show.

Hello Mal! Thanks for your support! The FTDs are wonderful releases. I need 4 of the early releases so fingers crossed. I hope they repress most of them so others can experience having these. I simply refuse to pay $400-$600 on these.
This was a great video, touching on a subject that is very interesting. I really enjoy the FTD series but mostly the cd versions and just purchased for myself for Christmas the Elvis Presley the Pot Luck Sessions, due to some of my favorite Elvis music of the time period. Paid $89.99 delivered, I figured I paid about $18 a cd, its a 5 cd set. I do purchased the FTD series from time to time and they are really great sounding and just so darn interesting due to some of the cuts never being released before, thanks for touching on this subject and just subscribed to your channel.

New subscriber. I’ve been with FTD since the first release, but have become quite selective in recent years as they began pumping out more and more, especially the expensive books that I can live without.
This is just a question for all of you commenting I have a moody Blue album that strangely enough is normal on side a but side b is also the exact same songs as Side a I just wondered how rare that really is
Very interesting video. Mark. Happy you were able to secure a copy of Standing Room Only. As you note, it is very hard to find these days. FTD started as a label issuing cds in 1999, branching out into books in 2001 and started issuing vinyl in 2009. Standing Room Only was the 2nd FTD vinyl release, following the release of Blue Hawaii. I feel fortunate that I have all of the FTD titles in their various formats as I started collecting the cds from the day the label was founded. I was late to their vinyl by about 6 months so I had to scramble for The Jungle Room Sessions. One other vinyl that commands a large premium these days is Good Times - The Outtakes. Promised Land is also very hard to find as you noted. FTD just announced that they are repressing some of the out of stock vinyl titles including From Elvis in Memphis, Back in Memphis and From Elvis at American Sound Studios. This is why The Elvis Shop in London has these. This is just my hunch but I think it is unlikely that FTD will ever repressed the first 10-12 vinyl titles as they came with special picture inner sleeves rather than plain white inner sleeves. The added cost of the picture sleeves are why FTD stopped issuing vinyl with them in 2013. The last title to have a picture inner sleeve was G.I. Blues issued in early 2013. Also, the reason why you see so many copies in Europe is that they are pressed in Denmark. Which FTD vinyl titles are you missing?

Actually, it’s not too bad. I don’t know the exact amount but it’s about $15. That’s about average but The Elvis Shop of London ships fast. I ordered 2 LPs on Friday and according to the tracking, I should have delivery by Thursday!
What is FTD I’ve been an Elvis fan all my life and haven’t heard of this. Can another fan enlighten me please😮 thankyou. Mark, I’m in Melbourne, Australia 🇦🇺 this time of year is boiling hot as was earlier this week, last night we had rain, thunder & lightening unusual for our time of year. I would love to know where to buy records from as you suggest, as many of my albums were stolen in 1980 I even had a set signed by Elvis around the inside rim of the albums. It was a house break-in and my things were never recovered.

Hello Mark, Just discovered you my friend, I’m in the UK and have been a fan for 55 years. I have all of the FTD releases and did you know some of the vinyl albums are having a repress. I doubt the early ones will as they had printed inner sleeves but the others you mentioned are definitely having a repress. I too can’t believe the high prices that some of these albums now demand. I fortunately started collecting the FTD way back when they started back in 1999. I’ve just kept up with them as they are released and this includes the vinyls. Pretty insane prices when you can buy an original Near Mint copy of “Elvis Presley” (LPM-1254) for much LESS! I wonder if the price for these will plummet once the hype is over?
