You two guys and this show are just lovely! You are always so nice and well... nice. I can't imagine anyone disliking this show (even non-smokers) just because you are so likable :) You also spread good behaviour (the video with Muttnchop piper), which is great for anyone watching, both as community members, but also as human beings. On a sidenote, won't the cobs have to dry for two years (off the top of my head) before using them for actually making pipes? Are anyone actually gonna make a pipe for the next contest? Although I really think it's an interesting project and I'm looking forward to seeing all the homegrown pipes :D Take care
question about the homegrown category, i am a beekeeper, and for that reason do not wish to use seeds with neonicotinoid pesticides (the red stuff), would i still be eligible if i purchased my own dent corn and made a pipe from that?
I know this is an old video but I have a question. Do you know how to date a Lane Limited 1Q tin? Mine has a stamp FD13 and no other markings. I can't find any information on the ole internet.
I looked on m m website and there's no bully or bulldog on there. Was it a limited run? Do you have them available? There's some really nice cobs on there. The Emerald might be in my future. But the corn dog is really cool...
It's hard to say how air tight it is. It has a fairly tight fit and a gasket that should give it a solid seal. There is air in jar, of course, but I don't think much will be getting into it. Brick and Mortar shops use jars like these to keep their tobacco, so it could last a long time (though they do have higher turnover). I guess the best answer is, we'll see and report back!

No, but it is quite close to Captain Black Royal, which is the blue package. If I happen to travel somewhere and forget to pack 1Q and can't find a pipe shop I'll usually grab some CB Royal. I don't care for it as much as 1Q so it's not exactly the same product.
😳😲 God almighty!! 5lbs of tobacco here in the U.K. would cost HUNDREDS of pounds Stirling and I mean about £600 so that's about what $750 usd? That's 76% tax for ya 😲
Very true except our wonderful government would have you for tax evasion if you didn't pay the duty in what you've grown.standard size allotment could yield approx 500 plants so about 54kg of toby.thats £8,000 in the shops.utter robbery!!!!!!
5lbs is around 45 tins of 50g tobacco, right? Hope my maths is right there. If so, that would cost around $3,627 NZD ($2,628 USD) if you were buying Erinmore which is the cheapest available over the counter pipe tobacco. It's the most compelling reason I can think of to move to the States.
I'll bet the 1Q turns into a lightly vanilla scented sludge. What happens is that the propylene glycol sort of sloughs off, carrying the topping/casing to the bottom of the jar. Aeros *never* improve with age. At best, they stay very much the same, but at worst... Napoleon's Last Shart at the bottom of the jar. Good luck, though. I'll watch for the video.
