Matteo. I have looked up to you for a while.. no idea why some people are choosing to comment negatively. Thanks for all your hard work on this channel, you continue to pump me up in my own career!
I make like $50 a month that gets dumped in my paypal by Pond 5, and I don't even have that many clips up. Its a fun little rush when I get those random emails saying someone purchased me media for $25
9:39 destroyed in seconds😂 tbh all the youtubers are biased with trending companies who pay them for sponsorship and dont let us know the real deal ones, thanks a ton for introducing me to film supply! just so grateful today:)
Thanks for sharing, Matteo. This is a fantastic video, with the kinds of details we would all want to know! A couple of questions for ya. 1) How many clips do you have uploaded now? 2) I noticed a lot of shots of people in public, which you wouldn't have written permission from. Is there a standard for situations that don't require written permission from "talent"? Or do you just risk it if they're not predominantly featured? Same question for locations - can you pull the camera out if you’re sitting in a bar and film some quick clips, or would you need express written permission?
You can film in a bar but it depends on what you are filming. Lets say you are just filming what's on your table and not bothering other people them you shouldn't have any problems.
Thanks Matteo - I submit to shutter stock and get loads of rejections. I feel with Shutter stock or stock images you really have to change your mindset to generic safe shots that companies can use rather than shoot what you like. Either that or I just plain suck lol
I’ve been doing stock footage for a few years now. It was slow at first because I had no experience (and little talent) but now I am averaging almost $600 a month. I use it to upgrade equipment and for travel. I’ve yet to have any big commercial license sales. Thanks for your video which is encouraging.
@@aahritya_tv - I do 2-5 videos a month on my channel all about successes and failures in my stock video journey. I also do sales reports, trends, etc. I would welcome any ideas for new videos that might help and I’ve helped (one-on-one) several people get started.
Hi Matteo, great Video, and btw that B-Roll of yours is also really high quality. Even without sound design to it it really shows out. One question: since you see the company's that buy your media, do you then write them onto your website as past clients? Or would you say that's not an option with Artgrid/Filmsupply clients?
Hey Matteo - what you do think about BlackBox vs direct to Filmsupply? Also, how many clips do you have uploaded total to receive this kind of sales volume?
Hey Matteo, Love your work. Do you know how many downloads you had to equal this end sum ? Love to know the price per $ download i.e is it 50cents or so ? Let me know!

Matteo, I just heard some news and thought of you. Did you hear about the gyro data theyre embedding into the BRAW for post stabilization? its ridiculous man. what a game changer. Hope all is well with you.
@@matteobertoli cool, yeah Ive seen enough of your work that I wouldn't think you would, just thought it was interesting news. I just get excited with new approaches in the industry and hadn't even heard of it before. I saw a demo from a guy that spoke about calibration and programming the lenses and the example I saw produced beautiful outcomes. I did the same when lidar assisted focusing became available - even though I prefer pulling focus. have a great rest of your week.
Great stuff! Can I sell the same stock footage on a different platform too? Ie I have shutterstock, can I resubmit it elsewhere too? Does shutterstock allow that?
Hey Matteo, can you link your filmsupply profile? Just want to see the exact format you are uploading? Are you uploading miminumly edited clips? Or are they fully edited, with music and the works?
you don't have to cut, color, and tag clips for Filmsupply. they do that themselves, don't they? also, are you on Artgrid? What's your experience there?
@@matteobertoli Well at a little bit of a distance it looks the part for sure! Mind if I ask what it is? I know/noticed some of your other watches in videos (as well as the Tudor spec ad - big Tudor fan here). Cheers!
Hello Mateo, thanks for showing your content! One question, how do you upload videos to market to Filmsupply? I went to the web but I can't find where to access as a creator and not as a client. Thank you
Unfortunately you can’t sign up for filmsupply. It’s extremely hard to get in. You might try to contact them, but now I think it’s more them picking up filmmakers and not the other way around
Thanks for sharing this info, Matteo! I had one question - does Filmsupply require a property release for footage that features famous buildings and landmarks? (e.g. the Eiffel Tower, Sacre Coeur, Empire State building etc) Does the footage need this release for it to be used for commercial purposes?
Not sure about sacré cœur but Eiffel Tower during the day seems fair game, Eiffel Tower at night is a no go ( the artist that created the lighting needs to issue a license for it to be used)
@@matteobertoli but i see you have to be approved by them otherwise you can't upload to their site. they are selective about their filmmaker. that's why people uses other filmstock option cause it's easier to get in.
Can you upload your footage that you didn't upload to Filmsupply to other stock agencies or you're obliged to work only with Filmsupply when they accept you?
I got accepted on filmsupply and hesitating to sign, because this is eclusivity on the footage BUT ALSO on you. You cantupload completely different footage on another platform.
@@mcandelacom well, I would not care a lot, i run my own company and am not into the stock business, i produce ads and brand content for various clients. But still, this is a bit harsh i think. But artlist is nit answering since 1 month...
You put in work for all types of passive income, regardless of how lazy some types allow you to be. You can film tons of footage in 6 months and make money off of it for years without filming any more. How is that NOT passive income?
@@jeremielajoie6713 cause they have their roaster completed. I think it’s the only stock footage platform with that kind of reputation and that can sell your clips for such high prices. So everyone wanna get in, but it’s a small circle and they wanna keep their quality high.
