For the example as the temp at a School, you don't get vacation and pension. That's why the salary is that high. Also the doctor in your first example dosen't have any extra shifts, where doctors really make the extra money.

The average salary in Copenhagen is 563.600 DKK, but this mostly applies to the Capital region. According to the danish statistics the salary is 261.000kr on average in Nordjylland, and 335.000kr on average in Midtjylland, and with the average in the capital region being 563.660 kr The reason for that high number in statistics its obviously to the large population of Greater Copenhagen, and Copenhagen city, and with that amount of people, the statistic is misleading. They should divide the statistics up according to the danish regions, not by the whole country.

This is so interesting! Wages are SO varied in the US based on what state you live in. I live in upstate NY and work as a nurse. I looked at a similar job in central FL, it paid half of my current rate.

Your country is pretty huge, I guess! There are really only minor differences in wages based on location here. Although, wages tend to be a bit higher in Copenhagen and other larger cities. Thanks for sharing!

It’s also worth noting that salary paidout also can be influenced by deductibles such as house mortgages

Not sure you should really look at how much you will get paid after everything, but should look at the brutto wages. Because there are a number of deductions (fradrag) that are very variable. Like one of those payslips was the project manager, looked like he or she was travelling and paying for the fuel, but was then paid by the company, and those almost 1700 DKK were included in the 34k they got into their account.

(A library in DENMARK) Is it possible to acquire knowledge of economics, international politics and geography entirely in English in a library in DENMARK, or does this knowledge require knowledge of danish?
@thenordicadam

Absolutely. There are plenty of books, on these topics as well, in English. I did my all my university studies in English, so it is quite common.

Hi, how much can I expect as an e-commerce analyst/specialist? With a hypothetical salary of 3700 euro, how much can I save per month? Living with my girlfriend. Thank you
@thenordicadam
@thenordicadam Месяц назад
It's hard to say exactly of course - looks like the average for that type of position is around 5000 euro. But varies quite a bit, probably with experience (so could be higher, could be lower). How much you have left will depend on many individual factors. Even your tax rate. But generally it's around 40% or so. The next big things are how much you pay for rent and how much you spend on, well, living. I have an older video where I share how much I spend living in Copenhagen. Might give you a ballpark figure (although we probably live quite frugally): ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hAGQWYOzS-0.html

What's really interesting is what you get paid after tax. It is also very possible that Denmark should have a good school and health system, presumably. If you have children with diagnoses or other small challenges with such children, the system is just as rotten as the politicians' narrative that they go into politics to make a difference. If you get sick in Denmark, have health insurance as the hospital system is just as much a joke as the school system. So, in theory, Denmark was a nice country, but if you first need the government's help - whether it is one or the other - then the system does everything to escape from the responsibility they have. Denmark is a joke

Have you ever compare salaries with Oslo? I think people earn more in Oslo.

Thanks for the insight, Adam. Do you guys pay property tax and if so, what does it go towards?
@thenordicadam
@thenordicadam 4 месяца назад
Yes, we do. If you own property there's a tax. If you then sell the property - and you have lived there - you don't have to pay taxes on the profit though (if you have any). I don't think the tax goes towards anything in particular, just in the big pile of government money :) Thanks for watching!

From what I could find, an average salary for a project manager in Denmark is around 53,000 to 55,000 DKK a month. This was an average for project managers for all fields, so I don't know the specifics for the energy sector.
