Have you ever booted up the old sims 2 game and tried playing in the broke family? It’s quite hard! I’m starting a short series where I try to get Brandi Broke out of poverty! Is it possible? We will have to see!

not sure if you read your comments from the last video so maybe you'll see this, but mortimer freaks out at your sims because looking through the telescope in the day in the sims 2 counts as spying on the neighbors, so he's calling you out for your nosiness lol

He's already an adult, it'd be one of the younger boys going to college instead. In sims 2 you can only send teens that there become young adults.

The way I was CHANTING, “Buy beds before a TV!” I’m so glad you remembered beds for the boys because napping on the couch is really bad in TS2! I’m kind of sad you didn’t think of a burglar alarm (but it’s okay - I sometimes forget too and then kick myself when Gordon or Jessica turn up)!

Mortimer shows up because the boys were using the telescope to "spy" on him 😂 And I think that the lady who married the Eiffel tower divorced it to marry something else, that’s what I read a couple of years ago so I don’t know if true or not

Love the TS2 Brandy Broke series. If you're worried about the aging you can either turn off Aging using a cheat or use the Lifetime points to buy the Fountain of Youth. Same for money you can use the Lifetime Points to buy a Money Tree.

I decided to try this as well after watching your video.. Brandi had twins, Dustin wanted to get into private school, so we invited the principal. Only Brandi made baked alaska and burned to death, wich made the principal decide they weren't the kind of family fit for his school. Then the socil worker came and got all of the kids, and teenage Dustin is now living alone. getting woken up and scared by his ghost mum every night... So I think your Broke-family is doing splendid compared to mine.. 😅

This was so good! Please carry it on! You could help Brandi find love, send one of the younger boys to university, and get some windows for the upstairs haha. I’d like to see you play until one of the boys has kids of his own, and he can live in the house with grandma Brandi, and you could extend the house and add more things until they’re REALLY out of poverty.

I know this lets play is old, but as I just started a plesantville journey in Sims 2 from base family, I am so amused. Generational wealth is really the key to sims 2. And with University, if you had sent Dustin to college the family just would have froze in time and you would move back home able to get higher career choices. But even without that, you are an elder a pretty long time in Sims 2. Promotions are still viable as an elder. I often don’t have my elders retire until their adult children are properly set up to take over as main wage bringers. But the Brokes are the hardest preset family in plesantville for sure.

Don't know if you'll have the aspiration points to buy it but if you want to try and keep Brandi alive longer you could try getting the Elixir of Life Aspiration reward. Check her career rewards as well, I think she's high enough to have unlocked hers.

I think sims 2 was actually one of the best games to have a legacy game in. Because it was so 'difficult' to earn money, it would actually take generational wealth, if you wanted to have a life besides working all the time.

I completely forgot how hard it was in The Sims 2 to make money, like in The Sims 4 you can get two promotions from the beginning of a careerand you'll be able to furnish most of the house already

The Sims 4 has only gotten worse with every update, and it seems EA is determined to skirt around the problems they've caused. Look how they've downscaled the graphics in order to improve performance! It's despicable.
