Hi! Thank you so so much for this VIDEO. I am a fitness trainer who is trying to learn PHP for wordpress. I love learning and I am enjoying it so far. But while enjoying it i have some concerns. It always seems like it's kind of endless learning and it makes me worried. So, my question is what do you think how long would it take to become kind of intermediate at PHP? How many months or years! i just need some motivation to keep going. Thank you for everything!

Hi, and thanks for the comments. Well, I can't give you an accurate time frame because I've learned it on my own in a non-standard way, say... But I believe if you really focus on learning, establishing a study routine of exercises, you can become an intermediate PHP developer in about 6-8 months. That's only a guess ok. It can be less or a bit more time, it will all depend on how much time you'll commit to your studies. But I can guarantee it's not difficult. PHP is one of the easiest languages to learn. In one or two months you learn the basics and than can move on to more advanced topics such as Object Oriented Programming and such. But, yes, it can be an endless journey. I myself am learning new things all the time. I think it's kind of normal in our field. Go ahead! :-)

@@marceloxv You really are the BEST and nicest person. Thank you for this reply, it really gives me hope. I really love PHP and I am enjoying it. Everyone nowadays says go with JavaScript and PHP is dying but actually PHP is a must to learn even in 2024. Thanx man.

Oh, thank you very much for your kind reply :-) I don't think PHP is dying, but in fact Javascript is becoming even day stronger. WordPress itself is relying even more on Javascript, especially after the implementation of Gutenberg blocks. So, go ahead and learn PHP, but don't forget to pay attention to JS, especially React. All the best :)
