BUT...instead of running it through a conventional sluice box, we are going to use a bucket and a Drill and a Poorman's Poop Sluice Box and we have a special surprise for you that you have never seen before. For more crazy vids like this just watch this vid ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dRnhGfqnpE0.html and smash that like button ... SMASH IT HARD !!!!!!
Jeff have you ever done a deep dive video into where gold originally originated? Not the volcanic origins here on earth but rather a long long time ago inside of a dying star in a galaxy far far away at the very last moments before super nova... I'd love to hear your wild and crazy take on the subject in a five or ten min vid. And start the vid with the rolling text and music just like the Star wars movies lol.. love ya man.. keep hammering em out.
Jeff they are going to run out of sand years go Ya came out withthat video .a couple weeks maybe a month i had a load going to Barstow home depote how much sand yall sold and he started shaking his head . We cant keep it in stock . Other day and this was 2013 a Guy came in and got 2 paletts from Us I remember that . I was like im in the wrong business . I should be in the sand Business . 100 bucks a 50 pound of pay sand the pay shipping . LOL
Since HD and Lowes gets sand from different locations (usually locally close to cut transportation costs) Then this test is usually only valid for a local regional area. they may even get it from the same supplier even if the "brand" is different.
I purchased 80# sacks of concrete from Lowe's. I used all but 2. I decided to pan the last two bags. Believe it or not we had gold flakes in both of them
Well, quick, Crete gets their sand from the same location doesn’t matter if it goes to Lowe’s or Home Depot or anywhere else so it should be very similar
Is your backyard block wall getting shorter or is all that dirt just raising the elevation I know my side yard after all these years of bringing home test samples is about a foot to 14 inches higher as far as the challenge between open land and Club claims 2 days on the club claim 2 days on the open land just found two fresh eroded washers no pile of rocks no dry wash piles just beautiful virgin washes got one more spot to check out before it's too hot for the summer and we'll be heading up into the bradshaws for the summer thanks for the video Jeff see you on the next one now I got to get in the backyard and go through 3 sandbags full of sample dirt
exactly .... got Gold ore everywhere ....some have no idea where it came from ...one day gonna crush it all down and see what comes out of it ....keepp us poste don what you find out there
Using the spoon proves two things…….1 it works good…..2 you are losing gold all over your backyard! LOL 😆 Great video Jeff! Good gold hunting! Take care.
Most my adult life I've driven past Grand Coulee Dam very regularly. 1/2 mile south of it sits the pile of sand and silt they dredged out of the river bottom to build the dam. I have always looked at it and pondered just how much gold is piled up there with the million yards plus of sand and soil...... would be some serious panning!
Jeff there is a creek near my house in Augusta with tons of sand deposited on sharp bend. Should I dig down till I hit black sand with my front end bucket and then load up my trailer or should I do some sample panning. I’m getting the sand brought up to my house anyway for my other projects.
I bet lil Jeff was that kid playing in the playground sandbox, when the bully came around, and kicked sand in his face, and Jeff said' Thanks for the gold!' Fun watch as always! :P
The driveway at my mom's house in Sacramento was built in 1958. The aggregate came from a gravel pit on the old Folsom dredge field. There are lots of small flecks of gold in her driveway. Is pretty cool.
I think Doc is todays winner. He got the most gold. From your yard. Time to do some landscaping. Start by removing the first few inches, washing it, then putting it back.
I’m working on a poor man’s sluice today ! I got a piece of aluminum handicap ramp from a HOA I welded a dock ramp for . They gave me the extra and the 3 little beads across every inch make the perfect rifle and catch the finest of materials , it’s crazy you can see them swirling so clean. Going with Depot ! Lol
I live in Spruce Pine, NC where we mine high purity quartz for computer chips. They say there is gold here just not enough for it to be profitable getting it out. The plant runs sometimes 70 tph, surely they could try and catch the gold somehow and let it add up!!
I’ll challenge you to a backyard / driveway challenge anytime…. I know there’s gold in my driveway where I dump all my tailings…. I pan fast too and deal with ounces of gold all the time…✅ Most gold wins 🤣
Nice gold in that sand...jeff has got the Goldism fever and goldlecticium and chronic gold sickness of goldfever...it cannot be healed by any medicine pils or injection...😄no doctors scription haha Gold sickness is a good thing to have....i got gold illness !👍🏆☄️greetings from the Netherlands Jeff and Lila...
Quick Crete was on all the bags so no difference unless drawn from different plants digging from different sources. Jeff I told you I have claim to the backyard from way back.
And if you’re using a cheap cement mixer, you can put two tubs side-by-side in front of it where the water and sand runs into the first tub and have a PVC tube that runs to the second one for your clean water and then set up a 2000 gallons ph pump that runs on a battery And that water goes back to the cement mixer. Recirculation system.
After you came out with your first video on the sand I contacted my local HD and the manager kindly researched it and it came from Vancouver WA. Now I suspect the sand is from the Columbia River eons ago, and it is known for containing gold. Have not researched Lowes yet though. I use tube sand as ballast in the winter and when the bags break, I dump it into 5 gallon buckets and let it set for a couple of years with the rain beating down on it. This helps the gold sink to the bottom of the bucket, saving a lot of panning time. Then I run it through my Gold Cube and pan out the cons. Not a lot of gold, but a bit. I also tried a couple of local quarries where they sell sand they mine. It varies by location but there is gold in the sands from them, again, not very much.
We had a local guy that did a yard from his local crush plant unwashed. Here in nor cal. His name is Eric. I think it’s Wilderness Eric. Had GREAT SUCCESS.
Hahaha ! I can't stop laughing !! 😅 Fun entertainment only Jeff Williams can do ! And you got shiny, too ! Can't stop smashing that LIKE button ! 😂😂😂 Next time, let's feed it through the Gold Rattler...👍👍👍
Hi Jeff! All time fan and a patreon follower. Really enjoy your videos and your fantastic humor. I've learned so much from your verbal/visual explanations and trekking thru all the beautiful mountains, mines, and many off road excursions. I really enjoy the times you gathered together with your miner "family." It's really a treat to see y'all interact with each other. Those are fun to watch and an outstanding learning experience. What would be even more fun? A miners jamboree! Where all you guys get together in one setting for a convention-like atmosphere. CRAP! I'd even pay to see that and be part of all the folly! Even each one of you guys could give classes/seminars! MAN! I would be the first in line to witness such an event! Thanks for all you do for those of us who love the shiney and being part of the community through your channel. OH! And you married way out of your league! Lila is an angel. And to put up with your shenanigans, you should give her EVERY nugget she digs! Be safe! Continue to be the great person you are. You're a "class act!" ❤
thanks Eddie ...much appreciated .... Lila is the best .... I got very lucky with my wife .... I told here I wanted to make her mine ....she said yes and I gave her a Hard hat and shovel and said lets go mine together.... hahhahhahaha thanks my brother
they only thing I have issues with is that BOTH bags of sand come from the same place, and HD and LOES just get the bags.... Now if they both sold DIFFERENT brands apiece, then it would be a competition.. just sayin... NOW COME ON ..... LETS GOOOOOOO
So you spent loot for bags of sand,c gas station and travel time,d used water and electric and you found twenty five cents worth of gold.... Ill reread the federal reserve act, the Equal Credit Opportunity Act, TILA, and FDCPA. Cause im the Individual Banker with an FEIN
You really should mention the pie pan method. Since it was used by 49ers. Just use a pie pan from any store. Cute it the same as a metal pan. It's been years since you showed how to cure a metal pan.... Back in the days with slim and your old claim. Oh yeah. That's what I first used. It was at Knott's berry farm when tickets were still being used. My grandpa has us being pie pans to Knott's. And we used them to pan for gold there. Btw. The sand you would pan at Knott's Berry farm, came from the mine in Calico. Which old man Knott's also owed. Calico was to be another amusement park. But it never caught on. Also. We took a trip to Calico once. On the way back. My parents bought us cap guns from a store that used metal caps. Not long after they disappeared. I thing someone clued my parents into the fact they were cap n ball revolvers... Lol To this day neither will admit to it And for years I tried finding cap guns that took metal caps. Then at 16. I was in a store. Some place around lake Parris California. And I found one. Better was I was allowed to buy it. When at the time in commie land you had to be 21 and have a permit to buy a hand gun. But all I had to do was give the cashier the money for my 2nd cap n ball. I owed that cap n ball for over 30 years until it was stolen. Also. My parents told me it was illegal to mine gold in the US. Which I didn't know better for over 40 years . All the time I could have been mining lost.
I will just buy 1/10 of an Ounce online and call it good - but this is definitely interesting 🧐- and now I’m gonna look at my granddaughters Sandbox in a different way LOL 😂
So Jeff…totally off topic. Well not totally. Anyway I’m the leading bidder on a mine in Nevada being auctioned off…can I ask you some questions about the legalities of the claims’ name?
I would really like to know how much gold was found in the 200 pound samples from each one of those stores. Was it even enough to pay for the sand? If so, how much profit per hour of your labor are you going to make? Just curious, and wanting a numbers based answer, even though we know that a lot of what Jeff does is just for entertainment (and it is very good entertainment).
I built my own sluice out of plastic ducting , some metal display stand hooks and a sluice mat I bought off ebay. I used one of our lasers (wife has laser cutting business) to cut off square sections of the ducting and drilled holes in the sides for the display stand hooks that had the ends cut off . The mat sits in the duct and the hooks hold the mat down . Have been finding garnets, very small gold and silver in the local stream . Is all glacier run off so not much per bucket so far but I'll maybe find the sweet spot in the gully yet . Cheers
O sure but have you seen the RC sparks "RU-vid Gold" videos Its not a poor mans set up but its not your normal gold mining operation. you may get a kick outta watching it.
Hi Jeff. Greetings and thanks for the interesting and spectacular initiatives. I thank you as a colleague. Jeff is there any gold bearing mica or muscovite in your area? I tested the inside of granite and muscovite silica with gold

Jeff I appreciate your excitement but sometimes you get to going and so fast you start making mistakes kind of like that unnamed guy in Quartzsite who makes a big mistake or more on every video. For example you stress the importance of having a clean testing pan but earlier than that you spilled a bunch of sand from one of the bags right on the ground in your excitement to open it and pour it in the bucket, and if you tried to salvage the spill from your yard everybody knows you have a bunch of gold laying around in your yard. So remember the hurrier you go the behinder you get.
Big Jeff what's up been a while since I have had any conversation with you I have a question OK the round river rock in the alluvial float what is the blue to grey material underneath the round rock float some is white and I have a green period or something darker than period this Location has white powder in a 3' circle looks like lime turned out to be 2 question
Granite has a gravel pit in Sacramento, or aggregate mine, that's actually a rich place gold deposit, all over the eastern valley is loaded with "tailing piles from old pits. One look inside the safe at that Granite Construction pit will show the proof of that!
This has been my hobby as of lately, got an injured left wrist from work and have been on leave. It may not break even in gold price but at least i can scoop and pan in my backyard with my good arm and not lose my sanity being stuck inside.
