Simon, when I was you age and got out of the military, went straight to working whatever job I could find to support my family. Sometimes when something more likable or better paying showed up, I moved. Lost a job just before Christmas, took first job I could find. Friends said I was over qualified, should wait for better, they would never take that. I say you put food on the table, too much pride puts no money in your pocket. Best of luck my friend, with your attitude, something wonderful will certainly present itself.😉
Can only wish you and your family all the best for the future, you have a great attitude that will get you through these horrible times, have a great Christmas and hope Santa is good to you all ,
btw dont worry about showing how much you make unless you need the content currently. youve got a family to support. good luck until all this madness is over.
Great to find those hidden gems.hard work pays off.its a shame COVID has stopped you doing the job your meant to do but everyone will agree you must do whatever it takes to get an income.super content again Simon .nice insight into how you do things👏👏
My Mrs looked into the amazon flex thing. Worked out there were barely any slots available. She got a job with the NHS doing contact tracing from home. You should have a look at that!
Fantastic work. I'm from Canada and have accumulated about 7 full sets in last 5 months. Everything is locked down, so hopefully when this gs open up, the value goes up. How much % do you expect prices to go up next year?
Simon, I was interested in what you said about the M1 driver head and suitable swing speed as I have owned one from new. My swing speed isn't what is was, if I was going to change to a more suitable head where would you go, Ping G400 max perhaps?
Simon, obviously earning money is earning money but your talents are wasted being a delivery man. Everything you’ve accomplished the last couple years with the channel and capitalizing on a golf boom.. you’ve proved the concept tremendously and it’ll keep growing. I know there are companies that would contract you for your skills. It’s hard work getting your name out there but you’ve already done something so much harder. Hope you family have a wonderful Christmas!
Since discovering your channel a while back I've taken club flipping as my new hobby! From the profits I've managed to buy a 5-9 iron set of heads, shafts, grips etc to build up, pay for the removal van when we moved house last week, buy a small amount of stock to keep at home. But I only sell when the £1 sales weekends come up, and charge £8 postage, no one cares about paying postage, you're doing yourself out of hard earned money. Good work, keep it up.
Simon. Thanks for another video mate. Wasn’t sure if you’ve mentioned it before but if you had a site that guys could send you potential offers it could possibly help. Instead of you trolling auction sites every day. Like myself I have some old TM R9 and wedges to sell. And would always try to go to someone like yourself first if it could make things simpler. Just a thought. Keep up the great content. 🙌👍
It’s excellent content I was dying to message you on how to clean up clubs the other week but I don’t want everyone knowing my trick🤦🏼♂️ keep up the good work Simon just don’t do yourself out of profit, and good luck with the long drive stuff next year 👍🏻🏌🏻♂️⛳️
@@SASGolf I'm in tier 2 right now. I'll drop you a line in the new year, I work from home anyway without this problem so you can swing round anytime, any day you have another pick up in the gloucester area. It's 4 iron to SW with a GW shaft so 9 in all. I think you could get £70+ just for the shafts once the old ferrules are totally removed. One or two melted bits still on the end. No grips but they are mostly clean. If you want any of my other old bits they are yours. I think there is a dunlop 9 iron! A prize possession I think you will agree!
Simon: how much profit can you make selling OLD golf clubs Shows Taylormade driver from 2015 or 16 Me looking at my titleist Dci 1995 blades that have been used by three generations of golfer Bruh
Also, to get my cleveland black pearls back to black I used Caswell stainless steel blackener gel. Dabbed it on with a sponge paintbrush and the results were excellent. Would work a treat on those faces.
Your turnover would need to hit £85K for you to need to worry about VAT. If your income is around that £85k mark (make sure it never goes over £85k until you speak to an accountant or similar adviser) and your profit after all expenses is around 35% that's just under £30K a year before income tax and NI.
Hi Simon,I admire what you are doing.I would happily give you all my old clubs, but I live in Australia.I am sure your fellow Poms would do the same, just give an address ,good luck.
lefthanded golfer looking for a driver. Between a fairly beat up 2016 m2 or the ts2 that is dropping crazy in price which is alarming because I am not sure why. Any ideas?
I make a killing selling golf clubs and I’m three years into the sport. On top of that I’ve gathered much experience with different clubs and brands... I’ve turned into a golf god 💯🏌️♂️ knowing all about golf thru thick and thin
Enjoy your content 👍make Hermes your last choice if you can in first lockdown they took the piss out of a desperate situation and desperate people needing work they pay peanuts if of made more money selling my arse at the station and I pig ugly 🐷all the best and much success 👍
my biggest steal yet, Nike Vapor Fly 4-pw, original Nike grips. Taylormade Burner driver w/head cover (driver might as well have been new), two Titleist Hybrids, Vokey 56⁰ (some face wear) and a Ping Scottsdale in a Taylormade r9 staff bag full of ballz, tees and all the usual accoutrements. Apart from the bag showing a little bit of wear and the two hybrids and Vokey everything else is in spectacular condition. $250 out the door.
Yesterday I picked another fabulous deal from a local Pawn store. Complete John Daly golf set, Irons, hybrids and driver and putter (with head covers) all matching with matching bag, everything is amazing condition for $45.
keep up the great work. I have Taylormade Rossa putter with new grip and headcover (face a bit worn) if you want it for free as its sitting in the garage gathering dust and when I tried to sell it on Ebay the guy didn't pay up and left me hanging around so would rather it go to some good use.
Good vid. I pretty much built bag off ebay. Recently picked up a mint set of Adam's xtd forged for 200 quid. Included shy hybrid 3 and 4 irons. Such good clubs for the money. Sold my mizuno mp 4 mp54 combo for the same price as paid two years ago. Can get some great gear if you look hard enough.
I’d take the hybrid +3.8 handicap playing D2 golf at Marshill since D1 schools have no money but was gonna play at GWU I’m still a senior in high school
The goal in all the businesses I’ve been involved in is to do better than to break even. How much better than that you do is best kept to oneself. The key is to add value ( easily that is your knowledge of the marketplace and its environs) then to enhance the buying process for your customers. Profits will follow. Shhh!
Followed your lead & started selling clubs on eBay & made a tidy some !!! always on the look out for quality golf clubs now , good luck on the job front cannot keep a young dad down !!! Cheers for the tips
Great attitude during this trying time. Do what you need and can do to help you and your family. Wish you the best with RU-vid, club reselling and the rest of you jobs. I will continue to support your channel.
When you negotiate a better price do you tell them you're trying to flip them? When I get a price knocked down I get told all sorts of stories about late husbands and fathers and then I feel like an absolute arse hole. :(
Rarely barter with people now as it’s normally a dead end and some will pay what there asking. Normally what to see something advertised as a good price and say I will pay it.
Hey Simon, good to see you're being proactive with the lockdown. Speaking of lockdown, I'm in Northern Ireland and we're locking down 4-6 weeks after Xmas now, as a new golfer, literally just bought all my clubs (using your building on a budget video) and haven't had a chance to even play the game yet. Do you have any suggestions on what I can be doing at home to practise in any capacity? Thanks! :)
When do you think used 2020 clubs are going to lose their value? Also, what clubs of the last couple years, (2018 and newer) do you think are the best game improvement clubs?
You should do a challenge, put two identical clubs up on ebay, one with really good photos / info etc and one with crap photos, stock ebay info. Would be interesting to see how much difference that actually makes
The idea of a warehouse of second hand clubs with a fitting studio where you can fit people into second hand clubs you have by maybe swapping shafts between different stock sounds like a great idea! Most places with second hand just stick with what is in each product and don't change so would definitely be a great USP! 👍
Hi Simon, great video as usual!! Quick question from the PXG driver video, I ordered mine on the 17th, any indication on when these could be delivered??
@@SASGolf oh crikey, it quoted 15-21 working days, then on the phone they confirmed that timescale, how did you find out a couple of months, was that PXG themselves? Cheers, Pete
