We've partnered with Cube to find out how much range you can get from the CUBE AMS Hybrid ONE44 C:68X Super TM 400X 29. The bike uses a the new Bosch SX lightweight motor and packs in a 400Wh battery. Fitted with Fox suspension front and rear and a Sram XX drivetrain, the bike's specification leaves little to be desired. All of this has meant the Cube tips the scales at a claimed 17.7kg.
Jamie Darlow decided to take the e-bike to his old stomping ground in Surrey to find out how much range he could really extract from a bike this light.

Yes Bosch SX motors on some bikes do have a bit of a rattle, but it wasn’t really that noticeable on the Cube

Better question: how big are the drops that you can ride with a light EMTB?

Depends on the category rating. This is rated category 4, which defines the drops of .5m.

Max system weight 100kg and rated for jumps of up to 50cm seems off (according to cube bikes website)

Reading in more detail it seems like the system weight for bike and rider is 115kg. But changing the saddle ups this to 135kg.

Sped watched for some answers to the title of the video. Make corrections with comments, lots of specifics on bike. Bluf: they mention 35k with 2 bars left and then when it reaches red they plugged in another battery (with a shameless product mention, cheeky) and gave up due to human factors. Mentioned 50km and some elevation metrics. Nothing scientific. TTW: 1M, 12S
