We don't use Sonlight but I like that they have varying reader levels for each HBL level. I'm always leary of "boxed" curriculum cuz not every kid at said grade reads at the same level.
I LOVE this!!!! Definitely made up my mind about using Sonlight!! Questions though....I bought used copies from when American history and intro to cultures was switched around, do you this the order makes a difference? I'd like to start with American history. Also, what else do you use for your six yr olds? Thanks!
Honestly, I do think it makes a difference. I used American History first with my big kids and I thought the history was a bit tough for the kindergarten age range. I do have a review on that program from a few years ago (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wL13BhjRCHY.html). As for the bible and read-alouds, I think those can be switched easily ... but you need to do what is best for your family :)
I am interested in using sonlight science A next year for my first grader. Do the science videos cover the information in the Discover & Do videos? Or would we still have to read that text? Thanks for sharing this videos 😊
